Building on the powerful example from Scores on the Board and your earlier workshopping on maximising the contributions of your workforce, this session will explore how you can apply these to boost and transform your organisional success. In this session, you will learn about how intercultural skill development can impact the strength and success of your organision, through: improving relions within your own workforce nurturing your partnerships in Australia and globally, and providing culturally approprie learning opportunities to your local and internional student cohorts. Dr Barb West will draw on her extensive experience and strong theoretical background across the educion and worlds to bring to life for you the complexities of successfully utilising cultural difference. Event leader profiles Key Presenter Bill Lang CEO, Bill Lang Internional Bill Lang is an educor, entrepreneur and executive coach. Bill co-founded his first, Doctor Dog, while still a student. Today he is widely known as The Skills Architect, as the founder of several es and organisions with over 700,000 employees, serving 25 million clients in 50 countries. Bill travels the globe advising and coaching organisions and people how to most effectively develop the skills they need to improve human and organision performance to maximise their workplace contribution and career sisfaction. Event Facilitor Peter Giutronich Principal, Spike Corpore Training Peter Giutronich brings 25 years of corpore training, facilition, mentoring and coaching. He has facilited workshops and conferences around the world working with multinionals, government agencies and small. Peter has a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Commerce and worked in the world for some years before branching out into training. Peter specialises in communicion, team building, mediion, conflict resolution and personal development.

5 Educion Leadership Retre Retre Dunhelen Lane Yuroke, Aitken Hill Victoria Conference 3063 Event leader profiles (cont) Workshop facilitor Barb West Co-Founder, Culture Works Dr Barb West has spent nearly 20 years lecturing, writing and consulting in the areas of culture, internional relions and intercultural communicions. She is a former director The 100% Project and a founding partner Culture Works, an intercultural training firm th provides trainings to professionals from all sectors of the economy to facilite cultural adaptability. Prior to co-founding Culture Works, Barb was an Associe Professor of internional relions the University of the Pacific and primary trainer for the Pacific Institute of Cross Cultural Training. Workshop facilitor Peter Schultz EDC Services & Tactix Peter has held senior level development and marketing positions in both industry and government, including BHP, Techsearch Inc., the SA Centre for Manufacturing (SACFM), and Invest South Australia. Peter s 12-year specialision in managing and commercialising intellectual property grew out of his successful marketing of the intellectual property and R&D series for the University of South Australia. Peter contributed to the development, and now the implemention, of the SA Public Sector IP Policy, in a large government agency of over 3,500 staff. He is responsible for the licensing and management of an IP portfolio of over 22,000 copyright items, and 800 active licenses. Peter has trained over 180 educion professionals in copyright, trademarks and IP management. He also specialises in Search Engine Optimision (SEO) and repution management, which is becoming increasingly important for es to survive and flourish. Event Co-Facilitor Claire Field CEO, ACPET Claire has been ACPET CEO since 2011, having joined ACPET as Deputy CEO in Previously, Claire was with TVET Australia for three years, where she was responsible for establishing the Nional Audit and Registrion Agency (NARA). Claire has extensive VET sector experience, working in stregic policy, planning and performance review roles the nional and Ste government level. In 2005, Claire worked with Commonwealth officials on a suite of VET reforms for COAG considerion. She previously worked in the NSW government, with senior roles in TAFE NSW and Quality Assurance Services. Claire has had senior management experience in Mission Australia. She commenced work in the VET sector in research and policy development roles in the Australian Nional Training Authority (ANTA). Workshop facilitor Maria Langwell Nional Manager, Development, ACPET Maria has a wealth of VET worked across the VET and employment sectors for over 25 years in NSW and Victoria. Maria worked Western Sydney Institute of TAFE and ler held senior positions within the Victorian government s educion, employment and training fields, including overseeing the ste s Overseas Qualificions Unit and contract managing government funded training places, delivered through Victoria s prive training system. Maria subsequently returned to service delivery, first with AMES and ler as General Manager of Spectrum Educion & Training, leading the College to be awarded the 2010 Victorian Small Training Provider of the Year. In 2011, Maria accepted the position of ACPET s Officer, VIC and TAS. Maria was recently appointed ACPET s Nional Manager, Development, to drive ACPET s new initiives and services.
