Description of the work university or any other related degree, or equivalent professionnal qualification a minimum of 5 years' working in thé field of personnel recruitment and management in a public or private administration, or with personnel or management consultants a perfect coinmand of English, an adequate knowledge of French and possibly of another language of the Communities preparation of personnel appointments; research on internal organization problems Belgian Francs 2. Description of the work university or any other related degree, or equivalent professional qualification - a minimum of 3 years' working in personnel management in a public or private administration, or with personnel or management consultants - a perfect, command of English, an adequate knowledge of French and possibly of another language of the Communities - the successful candidate will work with the personnel management department and supervise a section in that department Belgian Francs The above mentioned figures for the salary scale represent a bachelor's net monthly salary; for married people this salary is supplemented by a family allowance.

5 General Administration Department Secretariat General Description of the work university or any other related degree, or equivalent professional qualification - a minimum of 3 years' working in a secretariat or in a field where writing is important - perfect command of English, an adequate knowledge of French and possibly of another language of the Community - duties will include the performance of various tasks in the Secretariat General and for the Bank's public relations such as :.. preparing contacts with representatives of the Administration, banks, the industry, the press, etc. in the U.K., Ireland, Denmark and Norway,. keeping files on personalities and institutions of these countries having relations with the Bank,. writing in English letters for the Management Committee and the Secretariat General as well as press releases, meeting reports, etc. The candidate must therefore be able to. write accurately and quickly in English, be conversant with the administrative and professional structures of the United Kingdom and Ireland, and familiar with financial, monetary and economic problems Belgian Francs.

6 Department of Loans in the Member Countries Description of work 35 to 45 years university or any other related degree, or equivalent professional qualifications at least 8 years' working, 5 years of which, at least, in the banking business, preferably in the field of long or medium-term credit a perfect command of English, an adequate knowledge of French and possibly of another language of the Community the person appointed will appraise the financing projets under the responsibility and control of the chief staff member in charge of the loans, or his assistant; keep in contact with the promoters and write reports for the Management Committee and the Board of Directors to Belgian Francs 2. 8 Finance and Treasury Department Treasury Division ]. Description of the work years - university or any other related degree, or equivalent professional qualification, with adequate notions of banking law and political economy - at least 10 years' of banking, with several years of actual responsibility as senior staff member in the Treasury i department of a merchant bank, or an American bank, (i.e. assistan euro-currency banking manager); lengthy in placing and arbitration operations (former '^.chief dealer"); if possible, 'good of modem Treasury management and planning methods, for instance, by means of computers - a perfect command of English, an adequate knowledge of French and possibly of another language of the Community - the person appointed will closely assist the Finance Manager and share the responsibility fcr the management of the Treasury with another staff member, whom he should be able to replace in case of absence to Belgian Francs Experience years - university or any other related degree, or equivalent professional qualification, with adequate notions of banking law and political economy - at least 5 years' of banking as dealer - a perfect command of English, an adequate knowledge of French and possibly of another language of the Community /

9 Description of the work - the successful candidate should be able to help with portfolio placing and management, effect money transfers in connection with the Bank's loans : preparatory calculations, contacts with banks involved, mail;. help to register the various transactions thus performed,. keep abreast of developments on the various money markets in the Community, Switzerland and the U.S.A.,. carry out technical studies concerning the above-mentioned markets to Belgian Francs.

Description of the work High level university degree, particularly as regards modern methods of quantitative economic analysis - at least 8 years' working in the field of regional policy problems - a perfect command of English, an adequate knowledge of French and possibly of another language of the Communities - the successful candidate will be dealing with the overall problems connected with the Bank's regional activity in the Community and more particularly in the United Kingdom Belgian Francs Description of the work university degree with a knowledge of modern methods of quantitative economic analysis - at least 5 years' working in the field of quantitative economic analysis - economic development problems - a perfect command of English, an adequate knowledge of French and possibly of another language of the Communities - the person appointed will be in charge of the structural and regional studies including :. regional development problems. regional politics. project's contribution to the development of the region Belgian Francs.

12 Department of the Technical Advisers appointments for assistants to Technical Advisers engineer holding a university degree. - at least 7 years' working in the technical management of important firms, preferably in a responsible position - having displayed a permanent concern and interest in the developments taking place in the sectors he will be responsible for at the European Investment Bank Description of the work. - a perfect command of English, an adequate knowledge of French and possibly of another language of the Communities - the person appointed will assist, the Technical Adviser in the overall appraisal of the soundness and feasibility of the scheme submitted to the European Investment Bank. This overall appraisal is based on an analysis of various aspects such as :. assessing the technical soundness (technical process, installations) and determining the real cost of the investment connected with the projects submitted to the Bank;. evaluation of the project's profit-making capacity;. appraisal of problems connected with product marketing;. appraisal of the promoter's organization. The candidate should preferably have an in two of the fields mentioned hereunder :. metal working and heavy mechanical engineering. light and precision mechanical engineering. construction of electrical machinery. electronics Belgian Francs.
