2 SOLAR ENERGY IN SPAIN Solartys represents internationalisation High solar radiation in Europe Solartys is a non-profit, voluntary organization grouping 103 Spanish companies operating on an international scale with the following purposes: To encourage and help the internationalisation of the Spanish Solar Industry. To develop an industry based on international technology and innovation. To promote networking and cooperation among Spanish companies, international companies and institutions. Spain 3,807 MW connected to the grid At the end of the year 2010, grid-connected solar photovoltaic capacity reached MW 99% of the cluster companies are internationalized with operations in other countries. Around 20% have production facilities abroad. Thanks to the technological experience gained over the years, the Spanish Photovoltaic companies are among the leading companies worldwide. Legislation The photovoltaic production in Spain has different tariffs: - Subtype I.1: 29,01 Euro cents/kwh - Subtype I.2: 20,30 Euro cents/kwh - Type II: 13,48 Euro cents/kwh Note: prices may change with evolution of regulation.

Another large project, of 50 MW, is located in Palma del Río (Cordoba). In addition, ABANTIA is promoting and building several photovoltaic plants for a total of 33.4 MW.
