The Good Shepherded Educational and Rural Development Society [GSERDS], Velugodu, Kurnool District, Andhra Pradesh organized a three day National Seminar on Globally Competitive Education: The need for Enlightened Leadership and System at Sri Rama Krishna P.G. College, Nandyal, Kurnool District, Andhra Pradesh from 21 st to 23 rd January More than 100 participants actively participated in this seminar. The seminar participants viz., IAS, Academicians, Social Workers, NGOs representatives, Professors, Lecturers, Researchers, and Post-graduate Students from the different corners of the country attended the seminar. Andhra Pradesh Social Welfare Department, Awareness Generation Programme Awareness Generation Programme was held from to at Velugodu Village and Velgodu mandal Kurnool (Dist) 35 Women were made aware about the facilities provided to the women by Andhra Pradesh Social Welfare Department for their socio economic development in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh under the management of Good Shepherd and Rural development Society, Velugodu Awareness Generation Programme for Rural poor women was Inaugurated by T. Ramanjaneyulu, Sarpanch velgodu Gram Panchayat. Smt Vijaya Lakshmi Member, District Child Welfare Committee Kurnool, S. Mohammad Community Co-Ordinator, Velgodu, S C Hassain, President, Star Youth Association Velgodu P. Prabhakar, Secretary, Power Society, Yallur and Hanumanth Reddy Manager Star Youth Association Velgodu, were attend the opening function as observers and to gave every guidance and instructions for running the programme in a most successful manner and bearfruit. On this day, In the evening session Sri Hanumanth Reddy, A manager, STAR Youth Association was participated in the

7 programme and gave importent message on HIV/AIDS. He explained how to protect from HIV/AIDS and how to take precautions. 4. Envenarmental Programme Under the envinarmental proteetion programme the orgonisation condected a programme at Boyarevula villige velugodu Mandal at Nearly 200 saplings were planted in and around the school compound, besides the main road in to the village, MPUP School campas, M.P Elementary school campas. The sarpanth of Boyareulla village school heandmastar, Teachrs and Good Shepherd Educational and Rural Development Society members and all so thir villages were actively participated in the programme. A huge rellie wan also public about the conservation of farest, developing social forests, ecological balance, the uses of forests etc., 5. physically Handicapped Awareness Programme. A programme for physically dribbled people was conducted at Residential Special Training Centre School Velugodu on Sri S.C Hassain President and CEO Star Youth Association was the Chief Guest and Smt. Dr. P Padmavathi, BHMS Vamsidhara Nursing Home was another guest for the function Sri B. Jakeer Hussain President and CEO GSERDS President over the function Smt. S Anees Banu Secretary Good Shepherd Educational and Rural Development Society, (GSERDS) attuned. In the Course of their speeches Sri S.C.Hassain award the handicapped people to get the loans from the Banks and making self

8 employment in their life. Smt Dr P Padmavathi enlightened the handicapped how can they protect their health from the diseases like TB and also about HIV/AIDS Nearly 11 Handicapped people were facilitated in the function by the president and Secretary of the Organization. 6 Mega Blood Donation Camp: On 5 th November 2011 a Mega Blood Donations Camp was held at Z P H School, Velugodu Nearly 18 Voluntary Organization including Our Good Shepherd Educational and Rural Development Society, (GSERDS) participated in the Camp. Form Good Shepherd Educational and Rural Development Society, (GSERDS) nearly 10 people including the President donated Blood in the Camp. The other volunteers of this Organization served the blood donors by distributing water, fruits 6 Residential Special Training Centre for Out of School Children Deportment of SSA (RVM) Kurnool Opening Date: Our Origination conducting the Residential Special Training Centre for Out of School Children programme Deportment of SSA (RVM) Kurnool (Distract) under the Opening Date : of the Year of 2011 to PULSE POLIO PROGRAMME: Good Shepherd Educational and Rural Development Society, (GSERDS) Arranged a meeting at Tribal Health Center near Old Bastand Velugodu on on Sub Inspector of Police V.Moralimohan Rao Velugodu. Dr N Kantha Rao Tribal P H C Velugodu and Rama Krisna Thahasildar (MRO) Velugodu Emaniyal MERCY Society Velugodu attend the meeting, It in a free health camp programme conducted during to which is also a pulse polio programme. The society members actively participated in pulse polio programme. The Good Shepherd A

9 Educational and Rural Development Society (GSERDS) society members are identified the street children s in velugodu mandal and villages. They recommended that it is a compulsory pulse polio programme and to receive pulse polio drops to all this children below 5years, They observed and explained the importance of pulse polio drops and the danger if they fails in giving polio drops to this children regularly. FUTURE PLANS To work on HIV / AIDS, STDS, TB To work on eradication of child labor and their rehabilitation. To enhance the women empowerment by implementtive various income generation programmes through formation of CBOs To work for the Socio Economic Development (sustainable) to the rural poor women groups as well as men. To take up the literacy in the depressed. To Seminars & Workshops Programmes To Rural Development in the poor youth sports & Games
