The Star Challenge prmtin is a bnus miles event that is designed t reward members fr earning miles acrss Aerplan s participating partner netwrk. Members will engage in the Star Challenge by accumulating Stars with ur Financial, Travel and Retail partners r when they engage in Scial Activities n Facebk in rder t attain Star threshlds that will earn them Bnus Aerplan Miles. Members will als be autmatically entered in the Star Challenge cntest fr a chance t win 1 ut f 10 prizes f 500,000 Aerplan Miles. Q2. What are the Stars threshlds and hw many bnus miles can members earn? Aerplan Members will be entitled t receive 2,000 Bnus Aerplan Miles if they accumulate 50 Stars during the Prmtin Perid. an additinal 18,000 Bnus Aerplan Miles if they accumulate 100 Stars during the Prmtin Perid, fr a ttal f 20,000 bnus miles. Aerplan Members that are Primary Cardhlders (in Gd Standing) f a CIBC Aer Classic Visa Card, CIBC Aergld Visa Card, CIBC Aergld Infinite Visa Card, American Express AerplanPlus Blue, American Express AerplanPlus Gld and/r American Express AerplanPlus Platinum as f February 25, 2013 will be entitled t receive 2,500 Bnus Aerplan Miles if they accumulate 50 Stars during the Prmtin Perid. an additinal 22,500 Bnus Aerplan Miles if they accumulate 100 Stars during the Prmtin Perid, fr a ttal f 25,000 bnus miles. Members simply need t register, transact with any participating Aerplan Partner by presenting a valid Aerplan Number r shwing their Aerplan Card at pint f purchase r engage with the Star Challenge n Facebk and earn Scial Activities Stars. CONVERSION PARTNERS Aerplan Members will earn 3 Stars fr each cnversin transactin (cnverting frm lyalty pints prgrams int Aerplan Miles, where eligible) between March 11 and April 10, (Maximum f 9 Stars during the Prmtin Perid) Please nte that while Membership Rewards pints frm American Express Cardmember accunts may be cnverted int Aerplan Miles, their cnversin is nt eligible fr the current bnus prmtin ( the Star Challenge ). RETAIL PARTNERS Aerplan members will earn 2 Stars fr each transactin with a retail partner between March 11 and April 10, Maximum f 1 transactin (2 Stars) per partner, per day. 2. SOCIAL ACTIVITIES ON FACEBOOK Aerplan Members will receive Stars fr each qualifying scial activity cmpleted between March 7 and April 10, 2013 n the Star Challenge Facebk App ( App ) which can be accessed thrugh the Aerplan Facebk page at A maximum f nine (9) Stars can be earned via Scial Media. A member will earn 1 Star fr each Qualifying Actins cmpleted belw: Register fr the Star Challenge via Facebk and successfully install the App n the user s Facebk prfile. Watch the Star Challenge Vide via the App and crrectly answer the 3 crrespnding Vide trivia questins. Only 1 Star will be awarded fr answering the 3 questins crrectly. A minimum f 1 referral must be accepted (the referred friend must register fr the Star Challenge n Facebk and install the App.) Only 1 Star is awarded regardless f the number f friends referred. Use the functin n the App t fllw Aerplan n Twitter. Fllwing Aerplan n Twitter withut having passed thrugh the Facebk App will nt be eligible fr a Star in the Prmtin. Crrectly answer the weekly Aerplan Trivia questins. There will be a weekly Aerplan Trivia questin in the 4 weeks f the Prmtin Perid. A maximum f 4 Stars can be earned. Q6. When can I expect the bnus miles t appear in my accunt? Aerplan Members need t allw fr varying delays fr base Aerplan Miles t be credited t the members accunts and fr transactin data frm the partners t be cmmunicated t Aerplan. Delays fr transactins t appear in their accunt may vary between tw (2) days and eight (8) weeks. Bnus Aerplan Miles will be credited t the eligible Aerplan Members accunts up t 10 t 12 weeks fllwing the end f the prmtin. Q6 Are all members eligible t participate? N. This prmtin is nly available t members wh reside in Canada. Q7. Can I transact with the same partner multiple times r is there a limit t the amunt f transactins per Aerplan Partner? As per sectins 7 f the terms and cnditins f the prmtin, unsprtsmanlike cnduct may refer t any abusive cnduct that may be deleterius t Aerplan, the Aerplan Prgram r the interests f its partners. Q9. D all partner transactins qualify fr bnus miles? Are there exceptins t the prmtin? Nt all Aerplan Partners are invlved in the prmtin, and there are a few key exceptins fr qualifying prmtin activities. If I apply fr an Aerplan-affiliated financial card during the Prmtin Perid r if I applied fr my Aerplan-affiliated financial card in between March 11 and April , but haven't received it yet, will I get 5 Stars and be eligible fr the extra 5,000 bnus miles? In rder t btain the 5 Stars, yu must be an Aerplan Member and have an Aerplanaffiliated Financial Card n February 25, Q11. If I buy smething fr 10 cents at a retail partner, des that qualify fr this prmtin? Members must use their Aerplan Card r present a valid Aerplan Number at the pint f purchase and/r transactin, and earn/accumulate at least ne (1) Aerplan Mile, r as therwise indicated, in rder t be eligible. There is a minimum spend f $10 per transactin at retail partners. If I dn't shw my Aerplan Card, but I use my Aerplan-affiliated Financial Card, will I still earn Stars? Yes, if a member makes transactins n an Aerplan-affiliated Financial Card he/she will be eligible fr Stars. Members need t be registered t the prmtin in rder t see this banner. Members wh have a valid address in their Aerplan Accunt can als request an cmmunicatin (frm the LINK n the Yur Accunt page) which will prvide an activity reprt f the members mst recent 25 Stars transactins as per the transactinal data prvided by Aerplan Partners. Q17. Hw lng will it take fr my Stars t appear? Aerplan Members need t allw fr varying delays fr Stars t appear t the members accunts and fr transactin data frm the partners t be cmmunicated t Aerplan.
