3 A WORLD OF EXPERIENCE Our firm was founded in 1974 by Managing Partner, William R. Scherer, in downtown Fort Lauderdale. Since then, our firm has grown throughout Florida and has taken us to the nation s capital Washington, DC. We have continued to grow into an international practice with our office in Quito, Ecuador. The firm obtained on of the largest jury verdicts in the history of Broward County, Florida, in a commercial dispute involving the sale of a major health insurance company.
