10 The Local Perspective Continued growth and development in effective contingency and business resumption planning since Hurricane Elvis in 2003 The Mid-South Association of Contingency Planners was formed in June, 2004 as a local chapter of ACP. Starting with approximately 20 members, the group has more than tripled in size and attracted members from a wide variety of companies and governmental entities in the Mid-South area.
