2 STLF FELLOW FINANCE AND OPERATIONS Core (FOCo) Are you looking for a unique, experiential leadership opportunity? Are you interested in relocating for a year of adventure? Do you want to help STLF create quality programs? Consider applying to be an STLF Fellow! This is a full-time, 11-month (technically 48 weeks) staff position through New Sector Alliance that will require living in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area in Minnesota. Employment will begin 9/1/15 and end 7/31/16. Primary Functions Responsible for support of STLF National s finance and operations efforts. This role is expected to support programming efforts and technological implementation through program vendor relationships management and creative exploration of new technology answers. This includes but is not limited to organizing, creating, planning, preparing, implementing, and executing all tasks necessary to ensure success in the coming year. This position reports to the Director of Finance and Operations. Specifically, this position will be involved in the following: Hotel and bus booking and vendor relationship management Supporting college chapters in training development and as an on tour resource Technology support of website, online registration and customer relationship management systems Accounting and bookkeeping support New Sector Fellowship STLF is partnering with New Sector Alliance for the 2016 Fellowship opportunities. New Sector Alliance s mission is to strengthen the social sector by enriching its talent pipeline. They support Fellows with one-on-one mentorship and cohort based professional development sessions to build capacity for community organizations, such as STLF. New Sector can help you: Build your professional skills with biweekly seminars and monthly full-day workshops Give you an opportunity to learn from the experts with one-on-one mentorship pairings Expand your network while meeting other Fellows who work for different organizations Make a difference at STLF through your position as a Fellow! Compensation & Benefits For applicants who move forward to the interview stage, we will discuss the below items to ensure understanding and comfort. AmeriCorps Living Stipend: $19,000 AmeriCorps Educational Award: $5,500, upon completion of the 11 month experience Healthcare Coverage Up to $500 relocation to Minneapolis/St. Paul metro, if needed $200 one time technology stipend (use of personal laptop) $50 monthly stipend for personal phone use Mileage reimbursement Parking at the STLF office ($600 value) 25 paid days off (vacation, health, holiday) 1

3 Job Expectations & Opportunities The STLF Fellowship program is comprehensive, holistic, and fast-paced! Fellows will be expected to jump right into implementing STLF strategy, decision-making, and execution. This includes creation, operations, logistics, planning, measurement, research, troubleshooting, and preparation. STLF requires its Fellows to: Work full-time, 9/1/15 7/31/15. Commit to a 11-month leadership experience. College degree or experience preferred. Must not be enrolled in full time classes during the timeframe of the fellowship due to travel expectation and full time office hours. Live accessible to the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area. Possess a valid, Minnesota driver s license. Possess the ability to work in a project- based, collaborative setting. Be self-starters that take initiative and deliver results. Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Practice strong interpersonal and facilitation skills. Posses and utilize personal equipment, including a laptop, cell phone, and car. STLF Fellows will have the unique opportunity to: Participate in a multi-disciplinary approach to building leadership skills. Attend conferences, trainings, and/or networking events. Create and implement facilitations for staff and students. Benefit from intentional goal-setting, mentoring, and coaching.
