1 Call for Papers Rules INVITATION Dear Colleagues, We would like to invite you to submit Abstracts/Papers to the 6 th Euro-Asian Pulsed Power Conference with the 21 st International Conference on High-Power Particle Beams and the 15 th International Conference on Megagauss Magnetic Field Generation and related topics which will be held in Estoril, Lisbon, Portugal from 18 to 22 September 2016 at the Estoril Congress Center. TOPICS Abstract submission will be open from 2 February 2016 until 1 May Early bird registration rate until 24 June Paper submission will be open from 6 June 2016 until 22 September The EAPPC BEAMS MEGAGAUSS Conference will represent an exceptional opportunity to update knowledge about each core investigation activity. Paper proposals are welcome on any aspect of the Conference, including: 1. Pulsed Power Physics and Technology, Generators and Components High-Voltage Insulation and Components High-Energy Density Storage Opening and Closing Switches Linear Transformer Drivers (LTDs), Pulse Forming Lines and Transformers High-Voltage Power Supplies Pulsed Power Generators and Networks High-Power Electronics Pulsed Power Diagnostics Numerical Modelling and Computational Techniques 2. Pulsed Power Applications Medical, Biological and Environmental Applications Industrial and Commercial Applications Space and Emerging Applications Modulators and Pulsed Magnets for Accelerators Electromagnetic Launchers 3. High Power Microwaves and RF Sources High Power Microwave Systems and Sources Compact and Repetitive Pulsed Power Systems Antennas Numerical modelling of HPM Systems Non-Linear Transmission Lines (NLTL)

Ultrahigh Magnetic Fields Ultrahigh Magnetic Field Generation and Measurement Non-Destructive Magnetic Field Technology Science and Applications in Ultrahigh Magnetic Fields Magnetocumulative Generators Autonomous Explosive Pulsed Power PRESENTATIONS Participants are invited to submit original scientific abstracts/papers for Oral, Poster and E- Poster presentation provided that the work is original or extended from a previous presented work. In addition to Invited Plenary Speaker and invited presentations during regular sessions, the Conference technical program will include presentations (Oral, Poster and E-Poster) by all interested participants. Abstracts will be available electronically during the Conference. EAPPC BEAMS MEGAGAUSS Conference requires an exclusive waiver to publish the accepted abstract/paper which you need to grant on behalf of all authors of the abstract/paper as part of your submission of an abstract/paper to the EAPPC BEAMS MEGAGAUSS Conference. Authors are requested to conform to guidelines for submission of abstracts. Abstracts not conforming to the guidelines will not be referred for review. Abstracts must be submitted in English (US/UK spelling) and must also be presented in English. Abstracts will be reviewed by a panel of experts and may be selected for oral, poster or e-poster presentation (or may be
3 rejected). The time allotted for each oral presentation will depend on the session to which the abstract is allocated. Submission of an abstract constitutes a formal commitment by the author to present the abstract in the session and at the time decided upon by the EAPPC BEAMS MEGAGAUSS Conference Scientific Committee. Any change in the presenting author needs to be communicated in the form of a written statement to the EAPPC BEAMS MEGAGAUSS Conference Scientific Committee. If the original presenting author is unable to present the abstract, it is that person s responsibility to ensure that one of the co-authors takes over this role. Failure to present the abstract for other than well-founded reasons will lead to rejection of abstracts submitted at the next EAPPC BEAMS MEGAGAUSS Conference. The registration fee for the presenting author will not be waived. We encourage authors to register via the online registration system at the same time as they submit abstracts. Bearing in mind the various security measures and firewalls, please ensure that s can reach you by adapting your spam filter accordingly. Detailed information, guidelines and recommendations for oral, poster and e-poster presentation, as well as time allotment, date, and hour, will be sent in plenty of time to authors whose abstracts are accepted for presentation at the Conference. TIMELINE The submission process has 5 major steps: Abstract submission: Abstract submission must be done until 1 May Abstract revision: The submitted abstracts will be revised by the scientific committee from 2 May 2016 to 27 May Abstract author s notification: All the authors whose abstracts have been approved will be notified from 28 May 2016 to 3 June Author's registration: All the authors whose abstracts have been approved must register as a participant before 24 June Paper submission: All the papers of the notified approved abstract must be submitted until 22 September 2016.
4 PAPERS/CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS Papers submitted until the end of the Conference, will be published in an open access database for easy indexing. For publication in the Conference Proceedings authors are expected to submit a paper. In submitting a paper the authors agree with its publication in an open access database for easy indexing. Papers will be published as Proceedings, which will be made available to all attendees after the Conference, in the EAPPC open access website database. For publication in the Proceedings it is required, that the content of the submitted paper is presented by the author or one co-author as indicated in the abstract submission, as poster, e- poster or oral talk at the Conference. Otherwise, papers will NOT be accepted for publication. PREPARATION OF THE PAPER For preparation of your paper please download and use the Paper Template for Conference Proceedings, which is available on the Download Menu of the Conference Webpage. For oral, poster and e-poster presentations the paper may be up to 4 pages in length. For invited talks the paper can be up to 6 pages long. Speakers of Plenary Sessions may write up to 8 pages. SUBMISSION OF THE PAPER Submit your paper in PDF format through the on-line submission system until 22 September Please note that the server will only accept PDF files. When generating the PDF file, please make sure that ALL fonts are embedded into your PDF document. Most likely in the course of PDF file generation you may need to select this option manually. Also, please make sure that your document matches the Paper Template with respect the margins and other layout specifications.
5 SPECIAL JOURNAL ISSUE Special Issue IEEE Transactions on Plasma Science (October 2017). This Special Issue will be dedicated to papers that are substantially revised and lengthened from those of the Conference Proceedings. These papers will undergo a standard peer-review process typical for all IEEE Transactions and Journals. This Special Issue is open to, but not limited to, all attendees of EAPPC/BEAMS/MEGAGAUSS It will cover the same topics as the Conference.
6 SUBMISSION PROCESS GENERAL INFORMATION Abstracts/Papers must be submitted through the online submission system only. Abstracts/Papers cannot be submitted by fax, hard copy or . The contact data of the account will be used to contact the authors. When submitting Abstracts/Papers you can associate one or more authors (until a maximum of 10 authors) with the Abstract. The Abstract/Paper title must not exceed 200 (two hundred) characters (with Spaces). The Abstract cannot exceed a maximum of (five thousand) characters (with Spaces). The contact person will receive all correspondence concerning the Abstract/Paper submitted and is responsible for informing the other authors of the status of the Abstract/Paper. Abstracts must be written in English. Changes to Abstracts, for consideration by the Scientific Committee, can be made on-line up to the deadline for submission 1 May Every approved Abstract/Paper must be associated to a registered participant (full participation and payment process completed) until 24 June In order to associate an approved Abstract/Paper to a registered participant, in the Submission System fill in the PRN field with the PRN (Personal Registration Number) received during your registration (this information is very important). Please note that only the contact person will be contacted concerning the status of the Abstract submitted. If you have any queries regarding Abstracts/Papers submission, or regarding submissions already made, please contact abstracts@eappc-beams2016.org. Note: Don t forget that the registration fee only includes 1 Abstract/Paper submission. An additional charge of 95 Euros will be applied for each additional Abstract/Paper submitted associated to the same registration. WITHDRAWING AN ABSTRACT/PAPER The withdrawal of an Abstract/Paper on the Submission System is only possible until 1 May After this date, if you wish to withdraw an Abstract/Paper, you need to contact the Conference Secretariat by (abstracts@eappc-beams2016.org).
7 ON-LINE SUBMISSION The Submission System and the Registration System are two different programs. To access the Submission System please click here. In order to use the Submission System you must create a new account, using a username (valid address) and a password. After you login, you need to select Submission -> Contact. Here you need to insert your contact information (title, name, telephone/mobile and ) and click on the Save button. Then select Submission -> New Paper. Fill in the Abstract/Paper information, the abstract text and click on the Authors Button. On the Authors page, please insert all the Abstracts/Papers Authors until a maximum of 10 (ten). After you fill the authors information, please click on the Close Button. Then click on the Save Paper Button. To check all the abstracts/papers submitted, select Submission -> Paper List. All the abstracts/papers submitted will appear here. To amend a submitted abstract/paper, select the abstract/paper you wish to amend and select Submission -> Edit Paper. To withdraw a submitted abstract/paper, select the abstract/paper you wish to withdraw and select Submission -> Delete Paper. After the abstract is approved, in order to submit the paper, you need to access the online system with the login information entered before, click on the abstract/paper and select Submission -> Edit Paper. All the information submitted before will appear. Then click the browse button on the paper file field and select the paper to be uploaded. Then click the save paper button and the information will be recorded.
