Maintain and protect individual student folders for students enrolled in therapy for Communication Disorder. Submit schedules, caseload data and information required for local, state and federal reports in a timely manner. Interact in a professional manner with students, parents and colleagues Keep current of best practices. Adhere to state and federal guidelines. Follow the policies of SSJCS and assigned school corporation(s). Assume responsibility for assigned equipment and materials. Provide direct supervision of SLP paraprofessionals. Report student progress as outlined in the IEP. Instructional Skills: Provide appropriate interventions to achieve annual goals established by IEP. Monitor student performance. Administer needed assessments (formal or informal) to document progress toward annual goals. Create positive atmosphere for learning. Manage instructional time effectively. Diagnostic Responsibilities: Speech/Language/Fluency/Voice Administer appropriate diagnostic tests to students referred by parents and/or school personnel. Prepare report of diagnostic findings. Relate diagnostic information to case conference committee participants in understandable language. Audiometric Schedule and conduct hearing screenings for students in state mandated grade levels. Conduct diagnostic hearing tests for students who fail hearing screenings. Monitor students who have a history of hearing difficulties, and refer for medical examination when indicated. Organizational Skills: Maintain a student file which includes documentation of communications, test protocols, assessment reports and IEP's. Establish a schedule which provides for therapy as outlined in IEP s. Schedule conferences to revise IEP in a timely and accurate manner. Obtain input from teachers when developing therapy schedule, scheduling conferences and developing IEP.

3 Maintain documentation of results of hearing screenings and diagnostic testing. Inform school personnel of classroom accommodations needed for children who have a history of hearing difficulties. Notify appropriate personnel of any changes in student data or enrollment.
