1 Greetings, I m writing on behalf of the Marine Industries Association of South Florida, an association representing a dedicated community of marine-related businesses that generate $8.8 billion in annual revenue and more than 110,000 jobs in Broward County. While our region has long been recognized as the world-renowned boating capital, it s also quickly becoming known as an international marine hub due to its world-class marine research institutions, the third-largest reef system in the world right off its coast and the presence of the world s leading entrepreneurs who are attracted by these amenities. MIASF exists to promote and protect the interests of this vital economic engine, and we need your help. The association is hosting the 2 nd annual Marine Industry Day on Saturday, June 20 in order to educate the community, celebrate the industry and build awareness of the challenges it faces including dredging of the Intracoastal and Port Everglades and All Aboard Florida. While we support mass transit for the third-largest state, we need to find viable solutions that benefit all of the industries involved. Marine Industry Day is a social gathering of 1,500-2,000 industry workers and family members at Esplanade Park in downtown Fort Lauderdale that showcases the diverse talents, community involvement and economic impact these businesses and jobs represent. To support this event, MIASF is offering a limited number of sponsorship opportunities. The event and the related regional and national media coverage it generates will provide valuable exposure for our sponsors who directly or indirectly depend on the thousands of qualified consumers working in local marine-related fields. Sponsorships are available for $1,000, $5,000, $10,000 and $25,000 (title sponsor), as well as in-kind opportunities, and include varying amounts of exposure for your company in numerous print and online venues, display space at the event, event medallions redeemable for food and drink, VIP boat show tickets and much more. 2 2nd Annual Marine Industry Day Fact Sheet WHAT: The 2nd Annual Marine Industry Day. Marine Industry Day is a family-oriented event aimed at celebrating and raising awareness of the region s marine industry through a variety of fun, interactive experiences. It features live music, food trucks, children s activities, numerous marine-related activities, water taxi tours, educational games and much more. The event is organized and sponsored by the Marine Industries Association of South Florida and the Florida Yacht Brokers Association, with support from the U.S. Superyacht Association and Young Professionals in Yachting. It is a gathering of businesses that make up the region s $11.5 billion marine industry and their 136,000 employees.
