1 Agenda Item 9056 May 6, 2013 SUBJECT: Academic Master Plan PROPOSED ACTION That the Board of Trustees hears a progress report regarding the development Master Plan for of the Academic RELATED BOARD POLICY OR PLANNING DIRECTIVE This item is consistent with Board Policy E-1, Master Planning. RATIONALE The college is developing an Academic Master Plan that will help guide the instructional and student services programs for the coming three years beginning in The process calls for the plan to be updated annually for a rolling three year term. Additionally, the planning units will project developments on a longer basis as they may find appropriate. The Academic Master Plan will support the College's Strategic Plan. The staff wishes to inform the Board about the progress of the process, the components of the plan, and the implications for change. BUDGETARY CONSIDERATION It is expected that the Academic Master Plan will help determine personnel, budget requirements and facility needs for the Instruction and Student Services units of the college for the planning period and beyond.
