2 2015 Do you want to challenge yourself and make a difference in your local community by working as a team? If the answer is yes, then read on The Shakespeare Hospice is offering you the challenge to take 50 and generate as much income from that 50. The money raised will directly help local families affected by a life limiting illness receiving support from The Shakespeare Hospice. There are several examples to give you ideas, but we encourage you to be as innovative and creative as possible. Any business of any size can take on this challenge. You can have more than one team if you wish, please just let the Hospice have the name of each team you want to enter. The challenge will start on Friday 17 th April and last 90 days, finishing on Friday 17 th July. We are here to offer any support you need throughout the challenge. We are hoping that not only will this raise much-needed funds for The Shakespeare Hospice but it will also generate positive PR for your organisation and encourage teamwork. 3 Information Sheet Your challenge is to raise as much money as possible from 50 over a period of three months (the only rule being it must be done ethically and legally!) All the money raised will directly benefit local families affected by a life limiting illness receiving support from The Shakespeare Hospice. Awards will be given including Most Innovative Idea as well as the Most Money Generated. Any business of any size can participate. Whether you re a one man band or a multinational you can take up this challenge. Companies can enter more than one team if they wish; we simply need to know the name of each team you have entered and the nominated team leader in each. We are hoping that not only will this raise much-needed funds for The Shakespeare Hospice but it will also generate positive PR for your company and encourage excellent teamwork amongst those working on your company s business idea. Perhaps you have a bright spark in your company and you didn t even know it! Why do it? All monies raised go to The Shakespeare Hospice. Local support for your local charity. The Shakespeare Hospice must raise 1.9 million a year. Demonstration of social responsibility. Great vehicle to motivate staff and strengthen team spirit, morale and promote your company s culture. Show your peers what you are capable of and how good you are! Great PR for your company. Fulfilling your CSR objectives in a fun way. In short The Shakespeare Hospice offers a real life-line to local families through our care and support at what is a very emotional time for the whole family. To continue offering our invaluable services, which are free of charge to all patients and families, we need your help. Please give some of your time to aid the local community and support your local hospice.

4 Ideas Whether you re a one man band or a multinational you can take up this challenge. Why not use your 50 to buy ingredients to bake lots of gorgeous cakes and sell them? You could use your 50 to start auctioning items on ebay. Use the 50 to sign up to lots of sportive events (running, cycling, swimming, walking) and get sponsorship for each event. Use your 50 to attend car boot sales to clear out all the clutter after your spring clean! Organise a Swish event all your friends/colleagues bring a designer item and buy each others, all sales will add to your total! Motivate your management team by setting up a target for them to reach otherwise they will face being pied by their team (who will all donate for every cream pie they use!) Theme your 3 months to maintain motivation; 1 st month could be 1 in the pot for every sale/transaction/client etc.; 2 nd month could be investing that money on the stock market; 3 rd month could be some fun nights (Karaoke/Quiz/Disco) to celebrate all the funds you ve raised and top them up even more! There are no limits (except being legal and ethical) to what you can do. Think outside the box and enjoy supporting your local hospice.
