To make things simple, this leaflet gives you an overview of our accounts, so you ll know exactly what each one brings you. 1. Use our flow diagram on page 2 to see the accounts we offer. 2. Earn 3% AER (2.96% gross p.a.) variable interest on balances of up to 2,500. Interest paid monthly. Worldwide Family Travel Insurance, including winter sports, golf, wedding and business cover. UK & European Breakdown and Recovery Assistance, with no limit on the number of call outs you can make*. 12 months extended warranty on eligible household electrical goods. Worldwide Family Mobile Phone Insurance. Identity Theft and Worldwide Emergency Card Assistance. Commission-free cash withdrawals at ATMs worldwide. 3 month fee-free arranged overdraft and a 100 fee-free limit after that (subject to status). 7 FlexDirect Earn 5% credit interest Earn interest on your money and do your banking online or by phone. As long as you pay in at least 1,000 a month (excluding transfers from any Nationwide account held by you or anyone else), you will earn 5% AER (4.89% gross p.a.) fixed interest on balances of up to 2,500 for the first 12 months, and 1% AER / gross p.a. variable after that. Interest paid monthly. 12 months fee-free arranged overdraft (subject to status). No monthly fee. Our free Mobile Banking app helps you manage your money on the go, and you can set up free text alerts too. You must be registered for Internet Banking to use our app. Use telephone banking to check your balance, transfer money and pay bills at home or abroad. For transactions that can t be completed via internet, phone or ATM, our branches or contact centres can help. 8 FlexAccount Our everyday current account A full range of ways to manage your money and access to free European travel insurance. No monthly fee Free UK & European travel insurance as long as you pay in at least 750 each month (excluding transfers from any Nationwide account held by you or anyone else) into your FlexAccount or complete an account transfer to us, having used the Current Account Switch Service within the last 3 months. To maintain cover, you need to continue to credit your account with 750 a month. 3 months interest-free on any arranged overdraft if you choose to switch to us when opening your account (subject to status). Bank the way that suits you, in branch, over the telephone, online or on the move with our free mobile app if you re registered for Internet Banking. Travel insurance is underwritten by U K Insurance Limited. To activate your cover, you will need to complete and return a declaration. Your policy will not start until you receive a Certificate of Insurance. After your 75th birthday you will need to purchase an age upgrade if you still wish to be covered. 9 FlexBasic Our basic current account If you are not eligible for any of our other current accounts, this account may be suitable for you, particularly if you are in financial difficulties. No overdraft or cheque book Day-to-day banking with the ability to set up standing orders and Direct Debits. Bank the way that suits you, via Internet Banking, telephone banking, mobile banking and text alerts. 11 Switch to us in just 7 working days If you d like to switch to a current account with us, we know just how important it is that the move goes smoothly. We can move your Direct Debits and standing orders for you and take care of the whole process, using the Current Account Switch Service. Reassurance when you switch The Current Account Switch Service allows you to switch your current account to us in 7 working days, completing on a day of your choice and backed by the Current Account Switch Guarantee. This guarantees that your old account will be closed and all your payment arrangements (Direct Debits, standing orders and bill payments) will be switched to us in 7 working days, helping to take the hassle out of switching.
