2 Speaker Bios: Conor Walker - Director, TONiC Consultancy Conor is a Director of TONiC Consultancy and has 25 years of experience in retail and wholesale across many successful blue chip companies, always delivering P&L success, but with a balanced people first approach. Oonagh O Hagan - President of Retail Excellence Ireland and owner of Meaghers Pharmacy Group Oonagh is first and foremost a pharmacist who qualified from Trinity in She is the owner and Managing Director of the Meagher s Pharmacy Group in Dublin- which consists of six pharmacies, a gift store and an online store employing over 60 staff. Oonagh has been actively involved with Ireland s largest Retail representative body - Retail Excellence Ireland for over 8 years. She has been a board member for three years and is the chairwoman for 2014/2015. She also founded Women in Retail group within REI. Oonagh also sits on the Preliminary Proceedings Committee in the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland and on the wholesale advisory board of United Drug Group PLC. She has also been appointed as an external member to the Finance committee of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Tom McDonald Partner JPA Brenson Lawlor Chartered Accountants Tom, a Partner with JPA Brenson Lawlor Accountants, specialises in the community pharmacy sector. As well as covering all the regular accountancy and business advisory services he acts in the acquisition and sale of community pharmacy businesses. More recently he has worked to restructure bank debts of pharmacies. Martin E Gallagher - Director of Marketing / Business Development Clonmel Healthcare Martin is one of the longest serving members of Clonmel Healthcare s staff, and has 35 years in the Pharmaceutical and Medical equipment business. Martin previously held positions in The Cross Group, Pharmacol, and St Vincent s Hospital. Currently Martin holds the position of chairman of the APMI, and is an active member of the Marketing Inst. and the Pharmaceutical Managers Inst. John Hogan - Co-Founder and Chief Data Scientist, Real World Retail John spent 25 years working in commercial roles in the retail industry both in the UK and Ireland. In 1996 he joined Heatons Department Stores, Dublin, as Financial Controller, then IT manager/business Analyst, then CFO. Whilst there, the business grew 10-fold (to 250m sales), he was second in charge for most of this time. 3 David Killeen is managing partner of Killeen & Associates, franchise specialists and Chairman of the Irish Franchise Association. He holds a B.Comm from UCD, Diploma in Strategic Planning through the IMI and is a graduate member of the IITD. As General Manager, Retail Brands Division of Vantage Wholesale, David was instrumental in launching the Costcutter retail brand in Ireland. As the franchise development manager for Statoil s Retail concept Fareplay, David was coached and mentored in best practice franchising techniques by specialist franchise consultants from the USA and shares that unique know-how and expertise through his consultancy practice. Claire Murphy Superintendent Pharmacist Allcare Management Services Claire is the Superintendent Pharmacist for The Allcare Pharmacy Group. She completed her degree in Queen s University Belfast and qualified as a pharmacist in Before joining Allcare Pharmacy Claire worked in the Unicare Pharmacy. She is a member of the IPUs Pharmacy Contractor Committee. Fergal Egan General Manager IMS Health Ireland Fergal qualified with a B.Sc. and Ph.D. in Medical Microbiology from UCD and holds a Graduate Diploma Business Studies from the Smurfit Business School. He initially worked in R&D in on development of antiviral therapy and then moved to commercial pharmaceuticals. He worked in various sales, marketing and training roles for Servier Laboratories, UCB Pharma and Ashfield Healthcare in Ireland, where he was the General manager of the latter two companies. He has been the General Manager of IMS Health Ireland since Fergal is married to Alison and is the proud father of Josh, Aaron, Ethan and Dylan. Rory O Donnell President hmr Ireland and owner of O Donnells Pharmacy Rory O Donnell is a pharmacy owner/manager from Co. Donegal. Rory hold degrees in Natural Science and Pharmacy from Trinity College Dublin and Robert Gordon University. He holds a Diploma in Strategy and Innovation from the Irish Management Institute and is a member of the Irish Institute of Directors. He was President of the Irish Pharmacy Union ( ) and is Chairman of Health Market Research Ireland Limited. Cian Blackwell - Partner Business Risk Services Grant Thornton Cian is a Partner in the Business Risk Services department of Grant Thornton, with 20 years professional services experience in the fields of audit, risk and management consulting. He leads the delivery of services in the areas of corporate governance, risk management, internal audit, IT risk and related advisory services, and he lectures and publishes widely on governance-related topics. He is a Chartered Accountant (FCA), a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA). He holds a Bachelor of Civil Law degree and a Diploma in Corporate Governance from UCD.

4 Tommy Bracken Retail Excellence Ireland (REI) Tommy Bracken has over 20 years experience in the healthcare sector in the Irish, British, American and Asian markets. In September 2014 he set up Hexagon Consulting, a specialist healthcare consulting business. For the previous 4 years he was a director and board member of the Mater Private Healthcare Group. He is a founder (along with Dr David Gallagher and Dr Peter Daly) and director of the Bobbie Bastow Genetics Foundation, a cancer genetics research charity. Previously he was a Global Brand Director with Abbott Labs and a Strategic Planning Director and Marketing Director with Pfizer Ireland and UK. Conall Lavery Co-Founder and CEO, Real World Retail Conall has worked in the Communications and IT industry in Ireland since 1986; previously he worked for Motorola, Philips and Marconi and founded Entropy in In 2000 Conall was a finalist for Ernst & Young s Entrepreneur of the Year (EoY). Conall is a graduate of the Marketing Institute of Ireland and in 2008 he completed the Diploma in Corporate Governance (UCD).
