2 CVO Annual Council Meeting Minutes Page 2 of 5 1. Call to order Dr. Saul called the meeting to order at 1:45 p.m. 2. Approval of Agenda That the agenda be adopted as presented. 3. Annual Reports of Committees Written reports for each Committee were provided in the Council package. 3.1 Accreditation Dr. Steven Jacobs, Chair of the Accreditation Committee, provided an oral Accreditation Committee Annual Report as presented. 3.2 Registration Dr. James Vanhie, Chair of the Registration Committee, provided an oral Registration Committee Annual Report as presented. 3.3 Complaints Ms. Claudia Newman, Chair of the Complaints Committee, provided an oral Complaints Committee Annual Report as presented. 3.4 Discipline Dr. Ken Bridge, Chair of the Discipline Committee, provided an oral

3 CVO Annual Council Meeting Minutes Page 3 of 5 Discipline Committee Annual Report as presented. 3.5 Executive Dr. Liz Saul, Chair of the Executive Committee, provided an oral Executive Committee Annual Report as presented. 3.6 Quality Assurance Dr. Marc Marin, Chair of the Quality Assurance Committee, provided an oral Quality Assurance Committee Annual Report as presented. 3.7 Internal Audit Dr. Larry Caven, Chair of the Internal Audit Committee, provided an oral Internal Audit Committee Annual Report as presented Annual Report of the College of Veterinarians of Ontario The Registrar reported that the draft Annual Report was distributed at today s meeting. If Councillors had any feedback related to the Report they should inform the Registrar. The Report will be finalized and made available to all stakeholders including veterinarians.

4 CVO Annual Council Meeting Minutes Page 4 of 5 That the Council of the College of Veterinarians of Ontario receive the 2014 Annual Report of the College of Veterinarians of Ontario as circulated. 5. President s Remarks Dr. Liz Saul addressed Council. She thanked Councillors and staff for their support during the past year. 6. Audited Financial Statements Ms. Donna Mehta of Cowperthwaite Mehta, Chartered Accountants presented the Audited Financial Statements for draft audited financial statements for 2013/2014, as presented; the statements will be presented at the Annual General Meeting in January Recognition The incoming Councillors, Dr. Patricia Lechten, Dr. Sandra Rice, and Dr. Suminder Sawhney were introduced and were presented with CVO lapel pins. Dr. Liz Saul presented a certificate of recognition to Dr. Ken Bridge and Dr. Nina Szpakowski who were departing as Council representatives for electoral district #5 and #9. Dr. Jennifer Day presented outgoing President, Dr. Liz Saul, with a certificate and gift of recognition. Adjournment That the Annual Council Meeting be adjourned at 3:10 p.m.
