4 CA Course Structure The Chartered Accountancy course has three levels : First Stage : CPT or CA Entrance ( Common Proficiency Test ) Second Stage : CA Intermediate / IPCC Third Stage : CA Final Scheme for CPT / CA Entrance Enrol for Common Proficiency Test (CPT ), after passing Class 10 examination. Pass examination and CPT. This is entry level test for Chartered Accountancy Course from Higher secondary level.. It is a Multiple Choice Question-type exam, for 200 Marks, with 1 Mark for a correct answer and 0.25 negative mark for a wrong answer. Student needs to score 30% marks in each subject and 50% of total marks to pass CPT exam. The test is divided into two sessions of two hours each. During the period of provisional registration, student can undergo and complete ITT or Computer Training and Orientation course. The practical training can be started only on becoming a graduate with specified percentage of marks. If student fail to produce the proof within the aforesaid period, his provisional registration will be cancelled. 6 Stages to become a Company Secretary: COMPANY SECRETARY (CS ) The student who would like to join the Course after 10+2 pass or equivalent has to undergo three stages to pursue the Company Secretaries Course i.e. Foundation Programme Executive Programme Professional Programme The Student who would like to join the Course after passing the Graduation has to undergo two stages of the Company Secretaryship i.e. Executive Programme Professional Programme Foundation Programme which is of eight months duration can be pursued by 10+2 pass or equivalent students of Arts, Science or Commerce stream (Excluding Fine Arts) Executive Programme can be pursued by a Graduate of all streams except Fine Arts. Professional Programme can be pursued only after clearing the Executive Programme of CS Course ADMISSION TO THE CS COURSE is open throughout the year. Company Secretary or Legal Officer or Company Secretary and Finance Officer etc. In the large corporates and multi-national companies they are attracting huge pay packages ranging between Rs. Twenty Five lacs and Rs. One Crore per annum. As a member of the top management, Company Secretaries have come to be accepted as indispensable professionals to ensure good corporate governance. 9 COST AND MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT (CMA / CWA) Collection and analysis of financial information from all areas of an organization are the functions of a cost accountant. The role of a costs and accounts manager in an organisation is so vital that the success or failure story depends on his/her quality of information made available to the management. Members of this profession will be the driving force in the team of management while in employment and a key consultant, an effective Cost and Management Auditor and an appropriate advisor in place. This is why Cost Accountants in India are called Management Accountants all over the world. Cost Accountant can facilitate strategic decisions in respect of diverse economic activities of an organization where he/she is employed as an employee or deployed as consultant. 13 Kerala LLB Entrance ( KLEE) Kerala Law Entrance Examination, for graduate and post-graduate courses in various government law colleges in Kerala,is conducted bythe Commissioner for Entrance Examinations,Thiruvananthapuram. The admission to the various courses i.e the 5 year LLB course, 3 year L.LB course and 2 year LLM course, is based on the rank of the candidate in the entrance examination.
