1 2015 High School SCHOLARSHIPS We are pleased to be awarding the Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) High School Scholarships to graduating high school students in Manitoba. Up to thirteen scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each will be awarded, including six awards specifically for students from rural Manitoba. We are looking for students who meet the following criteria: Grade 12 student who will be attending one of Manitoba s universities (students planning to enter a community college or a university outside of Manitoba are not eligible, unless the student plans to bridge from college to a Manitoba university) Overall average of 80% in Grades 10 to 12 (based on the most current available information) Has an interest in a career in accounting or business Is involved in school and community activities We are looking for well-rounded individuals and as a result, the applications will be evaluated using the following criteria: Academic achievement and school involvement Community involvement and/or work experience and/or other activities Communication skills Following review of the applications, the selection committee will set up interviews with the finalists. This will be done either by phone or in person depending on the location of the student.
