However, rather than being exposed to commodity market fluctuations, the Fund makes profits through small arbitrage transactions (made on physical commodity contracts by trading in short turnaround cycles). In other words, since the Fund buys contracts at a discount and sells with a margin, it is not exposed to the risks or the fluctuating prices of underlying commodity. Unlike long only funds, Montreux s trading strategy ensures that returns can be made regardless of which way the market is moving. To complement the commodity trading cycles, the Fund also follows a relative value strategy that is market-neutral and has zero correlation to all major asset classes and hedge fund strategies. Moreover, as these contracts are so short, investor risk and volatility is reduced while at the same time capturing maximum upside. The Fund has a target rate of return of at least 15%+ per annum, with no upper limit. 8 LIQUIDITY The trading of commodities consists of direct physical trading and derivatives trading. The amount of commodity trading that occurs in spot, futures, and options markets on these exchanges on a monthly basis is massive, measured in trillions of dollars globally, making the global commodity market one of the largest and most liquid markets in the world. The average time span of one of our physical commodity trades is two weeks, meaning that the Fund is extremely liquid. The Fund is weekly dealing with a 5 business day redemption period, subject to a ten day notice period. Fund Structure and Corporate Governance The Montreux Sirius Commodity Fund is structured as a Cayman Mutual Fund managed by Montreux Capital Management SA, and is subject to the supervision of the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA). With an independent Board of Directors, third party Custodian and an independent Fund administrator, the regulator provides investor protection and carries out effective control of the financial industry.
