4 Why do students do internship? Students need to complete 250 hrs of internship to complete their Associate of Science degree in BIOTECHNOLOGY. What students do in internship? Interns work on a small research project in close association with, or guidance from the PI, postdoc, or graduate student. They are required to make a presentation using powerpoint discussing with a summary of project and details at the end of the internship. 4
