The trifold consumer brochure (CRB001) is designed to explain your core services in an attractive, professional manner to a variety of audiences. It is designed to be used as a component of the Business Marketing Toolkit and the Bank Marketing Toolkit. It is also intended as a general handout for networking purposes Chamber of Commerce meetings, for example. This brochure is preprinted in two colors and can be customized for your store by rubberstamping or affixing a sticker or label to the back panel. Copies may be ordered directly from the Corporate Office using the order form provided. A half-size version of the complete consumer brochure is printed on the reverse side of this sheet. The payday advance (PA123X3001) is an attractive, inexpensive information piece designed to explain the whys and wherefores of payday advances to your customers. Its text is virtually identical to the center inside panel of the consumer brochure. Payday advance is intended for distribution by tellers and/or in literature racks in the lobby. This one-color piece is intended to be customized for each store with the information shown in the sample on this page. 4 GUIDELINES for using the Consumer Brochure and the Business and Bank Marketing Toolkits STEP 1 Determine your need for materials and order For each mailing or personal sales call to a bank you will need one each of the Bank Brochure (BKB001.0) and the Consumer Brochure (CRB001.0). For mailing to or calling on business owners you will need one each of the Business Brochure (BSB001.0), the Consumer Brochure (CRB001.0) and the Bulletin Board Poster (BBP001.0). You will also want to have a supply of these materials on hand for other uses (see below). Allow 2 weeks for delivery. NOTE: You will need to personalize the materials for your store before distributing them. The brochures must be stamped with your store s contact information and the poster must be customized with your store hours and contact information. Estimate how many of all the materials you will be handing out over the next few months and order as needed. STEP 2 Identify prospects To make best use of your time, we recommend that you have a member of your staff canvass the neighborhood in person to obtain business cards from local businesses and banks. This ensures you have the correct contact information, avoiding possible spelling mistakes that can happen when contact information is obtained over the phone. If you have not yet opened your store, you may wish to do this canvassing yourself. STEP 3 Make initial contact You can make initial contact with your prospects in two ways: Cold-calling. If you are comfortable with cold-calling, just call the local banks and businesses you ve identified. On the phone, speak to the owner or manager (in the case of banks, the operations manager is usually the right person) and introduce yourself and Cash Plus. Use the talking points in the sample cover letters as a guide. If you can make a personal appointment on the spot, great: just bring the appropriate sales literature tools with you when you make your call. Mail. Another method, equally effective, is to mail out introductory information packages accompanied by a personalized cover letter using the templates provided. STEP 4 Follow-up If you have used the mail method for initial contact, it is important to follow up with a phone call within 5 days of making the initial contact and, if possible, set up a personal meeting. Follow-up is critical to establishing strong referral relationships which, after all, are personal relationships. STEP 5 Meeting the Contact Visit your contact and introduce him to Cash Plus and the services that are available to his employees and customers. Explain the direct benefits his business can derive from an affiliation with Cash Plus by going over the talking points in the cover letter. OTHER USES There are many ways to put these inexpensive tools to work to build sales. Handouts for distribution at networking presentations (Chamber of Commerce, service clubs and other business and community group meetings) are one way. People can t refer customers to you if they don t know you exist and what you do. The Consumer Brochure is particularly flexible: use it to educate referral sources, customers who may only use one service, and a variety of new prospects. Get creative.
