Maria Elena Llaven Nucamendi Horario: Lunes Martes Miércoles Jueves Viernes Sábado 00:00-00:00/Aula 00:00-00:00/Aula 00:00-00:00/Aula 00:00-00:00/Aula 00:00-00:00/Aula 00:00-00:00/Aula Objetivo General de la Asignatura: : El objetivo general es promover un proceso de análisis dinámico de los hechos históricos y los cambios que ha tenido la lengua inglesa desde su origen a la época actual, así como el significado que han tenido estos cambios en el desarrollo mismo de la lengua. Los contenidos del programa hacen énfasis en el análisis y discusión más que solamente el registro de los hechos históricos que transformaron la lengua. Además la propuesta otorga un espacio significativo para el desarrollo de las habilidades de análisis de los efectos de los cambios históricos del inglés y su efecto en el uso global de hoy. Además, siguiendo el modelo educativo de la Universidad de Quintana Roo, las actividades de aprendizaje de la presente propuesta tienen una estructura pedagógica para la promoción del aprendizaje autónomo, esto es, facilitar que los estudiantes asuman la responsabilidad de su aprendizaje con opciones de actividades de aprendizaje que promuevan su activa participación a lo largo del curso. The learning objectives are: (1) Analysis of the main social, political and cultural factors that caused the most relevant linguistic changes in the English language in the three periods of the history of the English language: OE. ME- ModE. (2) Discuss the diversity of English through history and around the world. (3) Identify the effect of social and cultural factors on an individual s use of English. (4) Analysis of the ways in which different varieties of English are use around the world.

FIN DE CURSOS OTOÑO 2015 Políticas de clase/procedimientos para evaluar el aprendizaje: The Pedagogical Structure: The course is structured by five seminar and five conferences, a reading week, a fieldwork and a forum. The learning activities will be developed by independent study of the learning material selected by students, individual tutoring, seminars on the main topics of the course, small groups discussions of readings, conferences/presentations on specific topics and fieldwork for analysis of historic materials. The 16 weeks with 4 hours a week work for the course are distributed by two hours of seminar per week and two hours per week of small groups work and individual tutoring. It is expected students dedicate at least four hour a week of studying the learning material. Criterios de evaluación: 1. Assignment ( ) 50% 2. Portofolio (Learning activites group sessions) 20% 3.
