What miracles have been showered on the mission in just 3 short years. A large number of persons have come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Homeless have found jobs, housing and started new lives. Families have been put back together, praise God. Two men after being saved decided to attend Clear Creek Bible College, get their bible training, come back to Crossville and begin ministering to lost persons. We praise God for Our Pennies from Heaven donations making it possible to minister to children and their parents, at Christmas, where each child received toys and parents received a fruit bag. For this is the reason for the season. We celebrate the first Saturday of each month with a gospel singing. We had a gospel concert December 23, 2003 singing in the new year, featuring outstanding singers John Riley, Jay Fox, A. Green, C. Brewer, Marvelous Marvin, Bread of Life Singers and others. Praise God! Each evening we have chapel services with a variety of speakers and music. Sunday we have two services (10:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.) All are invited to attend. 3 EXPANSION PROGRAM: With the election of our new Board of Directors, the committees are working hard on planning for the new building. A building fund account has been established. The purchase of additional property has been completed. We are looking for God's guidance as we go forward to serve those in our community and beyond. The Mission's purpose is glorifying God through the salvation of souls and rehabilitation of individuals, providing temporary shelter, medical attention and food for homeless and transient persons, conducting interdenominational services daily and educating and rehabilitation those seeking help out of life on the streets.

6 THE 3 RD ANNIVERSARY OF BREAD OF LIFE RESCUE MISSION The Bread of Life Rescue Mission began as a dream of Ralph and Connie Reagan and a group from the First Baptist Church, Crossville, TN. This was after Ralph came back to Crossville from Clear Creek Bible College, in the year A real estate man was contacted and the following were our requirements. We needed a building in town, large enough to house men, ladies, and doctors, have a dining area, Chapel and cost under $100, We were told IMPOSSIBLE (But all things ARE POSSIBLE with God). While the group prayed and had lunch in about an hour the realtor called and stated he had found such a piece of property. "GOD IS GOOD" The property was purchased and work began on remodeling. The first resident came to the Mission Feb. 16, A short time later, space for the clinic was made available. In the year residents were housed, 19,359 meals were served and 669 food boxes were given to the needy and 469 patients were seen in the Clinic. Statistics for 2003 are covered elsewhere in the newsletter. Realizing the property was not large enough, the hose across the street became available and a very kind person sold it to the Mission at a substantially reduced price. This was also remodeled as living quarters for Ralph and Connie. This freed up more housing for the ladies. Needing more space to house families the stone house next door to our property became available. This property was also purchased. Many families have been housed in this property. In 2003 the property in the rear of our property on Evelyn street became available and was purchased. all of these properties are being used as we serve our Lord Jesus Christ bringing the Word of God to lost persons. The Lord is working in our midst and we are in the process of consolidating the two houses into one building, thus enabling us to be of service to more of the homeless and less fortunate people of Cumberland County. Some of our plans call for men, ladies and family quarters capable of housing 100 persons. A full 24 hour kitchen, dining facilities, and meeting rooms to provide counciling. All of this to be on one floor. The clinic to be expanded into the present ladies quarters. All of this has been made possible because GOD has been so good to this mission. HIS WORD states "Ask and you shall receive" and "I will supply all your needs." So please keep the Bread of Life Rescue Mission in your daily devotions that we will always be in God's will and do all that we do in the name of our Savior Lord Jesus Christ. OUR VISION: OUR MISSION: HELPING HANDS PRISON & OUTREACH MINISTRIES P.O. BOX 3773 CROSSVILLE, TN / That God's kingdom will be manifested as the redemptive grace and peace of Jesus Christ are experienced by those impacted by crime. To exhort, assist, and equip the church in its ministry to prisoners, ex-prisoners, victims, and their families, and in its advancement of biblical standards of justice. PURPOSE: To create a Prison After Care Program to help Male and Female felons and their families who are going in and coming out of prison and or jail. Our primary purpose is to help them to become a Spiritual part of the Body of Christ, starting with their personal relationship with God doing this through Bible Study and a Christian Family Values program. Our secondary purpose is to inform them of all the State, County and Civic organizations that are there to help them become a vital and functional part of the community. To offer them classes and programs that will assist them is staying out of jail and or prison. CLASSES: Bible Study Self-Worth - Self Esteem Using a checking & savings account How to say "NO" to drug/alcohol GED Abstinence (for males & females) Christian Family Values Budgeting Money Job Skills (finding & keeping) How to find housing Child Care What programs & classes are available to them (how & where to find them) How and where to find and get medical help if needed.

7 HELPING HANDS PRISON & OUTREACH MINISTRIES Started Two Yeas Ago With a Vision of Not Only Helping The Inmates, But Also Their Families. We provide bus fare to Teen Challenge facility and introductory fees. We pick up the person going to Teen Challenge and see that they are put on the bus. We appear in court for their sentencing to enable the lawyers to request dispensation of the felon to Teen Challenge rater than prison sentence. We are responsible for finding bed availability at the Teen Challenge. There are some 180 locations and as much as a three month wait. Because we are a Prison Ministry, they do everything they can to put our clients at the top to the list. Court appearances take up to 30 hours per week. We have placed 5 women and 3 men within the last years. We appear monthly at the Southeast Correctional Institute in Pikeville for the Family Worship & Praise service of the inmates. We give the Christmas dinner at the same facility. Three men (Tony Lauricella, Tom McMahon & Ralph Reagan) present Bible Study every Monday night at the Cumberland County Jail Three men (Tom McMahon, Davis Harp & Dave Mullens) present Bible Study every Friday night at the Pikeville City Jail. Two women (May Mosely & Bev Schwind) conduct Bible Study for the women every Thursday night. A support group with the Celebrate Recovery program is taking place for the women inmates coming out of jail. This will be extended to the men as well. Helping Hands Prison & Outreach Ministries conducts the Praise & Worship Service at Bread of Life every other Saturday evening. We present our ministry to Churches in Cumberland County to attempt to receive operating funds to assist us in the rehab programs. Most cases are indigent cases and we attempt to find sponsors for the individual going to Teen Challenge. Our hope for the future is to offer classes in the following: Career Building and Life Skills. THROUGH THE MISSION'S OUTREACH TEAM, THE JAIL MINISTRY HAS BIRTHED THE TEEN CHALLENGE PROGRAM TO HELP YOUTH AND ADULTS WITH DRUG EDUCATION With this new ministry there will be on call counselors that will talk with each person - an alive voice to be there for them on the other side of the line. Each one of our counselors will have the qualifications to talk and give answers for the person, we pray each answer will help each and every one. We are asking the community to help us if you know of someone who is seeking help please have the person to call or come by the mission. We are not here to condemn but to uplift and help the person get on the right road. The person the counselor speaks to will be assured that it will be confidential always. If you are under the age of eighteen you must have your parent or legal guardian to place the call for our help (this is for the counselors' protection). DRUG AND ALCOHOL HOT LINE
