1 InterMetro Legacy CMS to Drupal Migration Client : InterMetro Industry : ecommerce Offering : Drupal Migration OBJECTIVE InterMetro is a subsidiary of Emerson Electric Corporation, a Fortune 100 company with over 65 divisions, and 120,000 employees, worldwide. Our client is one of the world s leading manufacturer and supplier of storage and transport products in the Food Service, Commercial Products, and Healthcare Industries. Their solutions ranges from Point-of- Care to a full line of automated medication dispensing equipment, heated cabinets, innovations in shelving products and more. InterMetro wanted to migrate from their custom, unsupported, proprietary legacy CMS system into an open source, scalable, extendable, robust Drupal CMS. To establish Metro website on a stable ecommerce platform, that is capable of various customizations. This will meet InterMetro s needs now and in the future.

2 REQUIREMENTS Before the orders for products could begin rolling in, InterMetro needed to completely migrate the content and SEO, and sync its more than 350 products to maximize sales. Once the content had been migrated, it would be redesigned to incorporate more interactive elements. Anubavam was to build a functional, interactive site that provides the visitor with relevant information on various products and solutions. The client asked us to integrate an online chat so their agents would help guide customers in real-time with relevant information. CHALLENGES Conversion of proprietary CMS system built with Coldfusion and MSSQL into a Drupal site with MySQL with template driven layouts provided by client Migrate all the products contents in various categories and solutions, and restructure the URL s and breadcrumbs A powerful site search and guided navigation to enable visitors to filter and sort by product type and other attributes Use Microdata property to products in various categories/sub-categories SOLUTIONS Anubavam migrated data from the legacy website and rebuilt a robust, high-speed, SEO-friendly interactive solution using the Drupal platform using client s designs and files. The redesign enabled the client to manage content such as Documents, Images, Videos, Files, Online Chat, News & Events, Press Releases, RSS feeds, Blogs, FAQs, Social Media and downloads.

3 Banner: A very easy to use jquery-based image slider provides dynamic adaptation of slides, with auto pause on hover, according to display size and resolution. Advanced Search: Enhanced search capabilities on the whole site content through suggestions, filters, sort, and group options Literature: Customized search for literature with filter, sort, and multiple field options for products. Visitors can filter by a number of factors including literature number, document name, type and language. Quick links: Create Quick links in the footer to jump to various pages in the website Service Agencies : Users can search for agencies to service Metro products within United States & Canada Product: Strategically placed links from the home page direct site visitors to the landing page of each top menu area allows visitors quick access to product categories/sub-categories and solutions Product management, search, and suggestions Different themes for each product category Catalog: Create a complex product catalog for different product categories. While clicking the product, users can view, bookmark, and download information.

4 Multi-user System: Develop a multi-user system using a secure configurator screen with an external authentication which defines credentials of users and collaborators to login with different privileges according to their roles. Library (Media Assets): Deploy a tool which allows users to create personal collection of assets with custom search results to view, sort, and rank objects Request a Demo: Creating customized forms using CRM integration was aimed to encourage users to request demo of the product and generate more orders for the company. This will allow Intermetro to gather more qualified leads for their sales and marketing efforts. Responsive Design: Responsive design ensures that visitors have a comfortable browsing experience regardless of the device they are using to access the site. Multi-language Support: Support multiple languages including English, German and more to be added in the future. Social Media: Share content on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube Showcase tweets to promote different product categories SEO: An effective SEO strategy to increase page views and unique visitors Implementing microdata and rich snippets to products to improve search results and boost sales

5 RESULTS The successful migration of content has led to a larger Drupal revamp of the client s main website. The website products display a full grid view so the visitor can see all products at once. Using the rep locator, the customer can buy products by the type of industry or location in 2 or 3 easy steps. By leveraging Drupal faceted search navigation, or the product exploration across various categories, the end-user search experience will be dramatically improved. Our SEO strategy ensures a strong presence in the search engine pages coupled to compelling descriptions showing images of the product. The project is a major upgrade over the legacy website for both content creators and administrators. This site now provides a path to the future that will scale with InterMetro as their ecommerce needs grow.
