1 2005 Press Release December 22 Dec 05- Child Endangerment/Battery/DUI Cynthia Weller, 44 yoa, 8350 S. Scottsdale, Chicago, IL has been charged with; Child endangerment, simple battery, DUI, BAC over.08, failure to reduce speed, and no proof of insurance following an accident which occurred at 79 th Street and Natchez on the above date at 5:40 PM. Weller was involved in an accident while transporting a 5 year old child. While in custody Weller struck a Burbank Police booking officer during the booking process. No injuries were reported as a result of the accident or the battery. Weller was released on bond and has a pending court date of February 8 th, at the Cook County court building in Bridgeview. 12 Dec 05- Aggravated Robbery Burbank Police are investigating an aggravated robbery at the Chicago Food Court, 8508 S. Cicero, Burbank, IL which occurred on the above date at 6:30 PM. The offender entered the business and demanded $50 while implying he had a weapon. The victim retreated to the back of the business and the offender fled the scene without any currency. The offender was described as a male white approximately 36 yoa, 5 11, 160 lbs, balding black hair, wearing a Chicago Bears baseball cap and a blue windbreaker. 11 Dec 05- DUI Wieslaw Bartoszek M/25 yoa, 7117 W. 85th Place, Burbank, has been charged with DUI and disobeying a stop sign, after a traffic stop at 85th Street and Oak Park on the above date at 12:45 AM. Bartoszek has a pending court date of January 25, 2006 at the fifth district court building. 08 Dec 05 Retail Theft Lorenzo Yancey, M/57 yoa, 8237 S. Green Street, Chicago, IL, has been charged with felony retail theft following and incident which occurred on the above date at the Best Buy store, 7600 S. Cicero Avenue. 05 Dec 05- Hit and Run Franco J. Humberto M/42 yoa, 6401 W. 86th Street, Burbank, has been charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and no insurance. The charges were the result of an accident which occurred on 1 Dec 05 in the 8500 block of Narragansett. Humberto has a pending court date of January 9, 2006 at the fifth district court building. 05 Dec 05- Attempt Child Abduction Burbank Police are investigating an incident which occurred on the above date at 8:00 AM in the area of 81st Street and Lotus. Three juveniles were walking to school when a subject in a brown van with tinted windows attempted to lure the victims into the van. The witness also indicated that the van had a Poo Bear hanging from the rear view mirror. 2 Majeed R. Hamida M/ 46 yoa, 7943 S. Nottingham Burbank was charged with burglary and damage to city property after he broke into a vehicle which was parked in the Toys R Us lot at 8148 S. Cicero. Police located Hamida in the area with the proceeds from the burglary and he was subsequently arrested. While handcuffed in the rear seat of a Burbank squad Hamida kicked the rear window causing it to shatter. Hamida was charged with the felonies and held for a bond hearing. 29 Nov 05- Retail Theft Michael T. Thomas M/ 30 yoa, 7337 S. Shore Drive, Chicago, has been charged with felony retail theft stemming from an incident which occurred at the Best Buy Store, 7600 S. Cicero. Thomas was held for a bond hearing. 28 Nov 05- Criminal Trespass to Property Steven A. Brill M/ 20 yoa, LKA, 7701 S. Cicero Ave. (Saratoga Motel) Chicago, IL has been charged with criminal trespass after he gained entry into a room of another at the Best Western Inn, 8220 S. Cicero, Burbank. Brill was not a guest of the hotel nor did he have any authority to enter a room. The incident was captured on the hotel surveillance video. Brill has a pending court date of December 19, 2005 at the fifth district court building. 27 Nov 05- Possession of a controlled substance Catherine Clark F/ 37 yoa and Amanda Romrell F/18 yoa both of S. Parkside, Chicago Ridge, IL have been charged with possession of controlled substance after police located cocaine in the room they were using at the Budget Inn 8450 S. Cicero. Both Clark and Romrell were held for a bond hearing. Safety notice: If anyone comes to your residence purporting to be from a utility company and indicates that they must enter your residence request photo identification. If you are not sure about allowing a stranger to enter your residence no matter what tale they tell, contact your local police department. 26 Nov 05- Theft A male Hispanic and female white cajoled there way into the residence of an elderly citizen in the 4900 block of West 87th Street by using a ruse to make the victim believe that they were going to do work at the residence. Once inside the female offender distracted the victim and the male entered a bedroom and removed $1000 USC. They bother fled the scene prior to the victim discovering the theft. 19 Nov 05- Gun Possession Jiries M. Sweis M/42 yoa, 7746 W. 78th Ct. Bridgeview, IL has been charged with a state charge of No Fire Arm Owner Card, and city ordinance charges of obscenity, drug equipment possession, and unlawful sale of weapon. The arrest resulted as Burbank officers responded to a burglar alarm call at Night Owl Liquors, 5100 W. 79th Street Burbank, IL. While officers where inspecting the premises they discovered a loaded revolver behind the counter and also drug paraphernalia offered for sale along with large knifes and pornographic video tapes and DVDs. The owner of the store responded to the scene and was subsequently charged for not possession a valid FOID card and also for the ordinance violations. Swies has a pending court date of 19 Dec 05 at the Cook County fifth district court building. 17 Nov 05- Burglary A 2005 red Honda CRF 250 Motorcycle has been stolen from a garage in the 7800 block of Natchez. The incident occurred sometime between November 13th to 15th.

3 14 Nov 05- Burglary Arrest Two Juveniles, ages 14 and 15, were arrested for the early morning burglary of Arrowhead Trading Post, 8409 S. Harlem. Police Officer William Chrones, Burbank Police, spotted one of the juveniles exiting the rear of the property at 6:30 AM on the above listed date. With knowledge of a previous burglary to Arrowhead which occurred on November 6th Officer Chrones stopped the juvenile and his investigation revealed that the business had been burglarized that morning. Through the course of the investigation Officer Chrones and several other members of the Burbank Police Department were able to identify and arrest the second offender and recover over $10,000 worth of items taken from Arrowhead Trading Post. Items taken in the burglaries include a large amount of paint ball guns and equipment, various knives, and clothing. The Juveniles will be prosecuted in juvenile court. 14 Nov 05- Armed Robbery Burbank police are investigating a lunchtime armed robbery which occurred at the Family Dollar Tree store, 8014 S. Cicero, Burbank, IL. The offender, described as a m/b yoa, 5 6 to 5 9, approximately 160 lbs, entered the store at 11:30 AM and while displaying a silver revolver hand gun demanded the money from a casher. The offender fled the store with approximately $500 USC and entered an early 1990 s champagne colored Toyota Corolla. 12 Nov 05- DUI Romiro Rodriguez M/54 yoa, 8507 S. Kilpatrick Chicago, IL. was charged with DUI, Blood alcohol over the legal limit, lane usage and expired license plates following a traffic stop. Rodriguez was stopped on 79th Street at Central Avenue on the above date at 1:18 AM for traffic offenses. Rodriguez has a pending court date of December 9, 2005 in the Cook County Fifth District Court Building. 08 Nov 05- Criminal Damage to Property Jason Kent M/20 yoa, 7645 S. Lavergne, Burbank, has been charged with 9 counts of criminal damage to property which occurred over several week period. Kent was linked to nine separate incidents of painting gang graffiti on various types of property. Kent has a pending court date of January 19, 2006 at the fifth district court building. 08 Nov 05- Theft of Motor Vehicle Manuel J. Hernandez M/18 yoa, 4319 S. Harlem Stickney, Illinois has been charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle and driving on a revoked driver s license following a traffic stop on the 7800 block of Natchez. The vehicle owner contacted police after discovering that his vehicle was taken from the Phillips 66 gas station at 5149 W. 79th Street. The vehicle was left unattended and running while the victim was inside the gas station. A description of the vehicle was broadcast over the police radio and a Burbank Officer spotted the car traveling West on 79th Street from the gas station. The Offender was arrested and held for a bond hearing. Prevention notice: The Illinois Vehicle Code prohibits vehicle owners from leaving a motor vehicle unattended with the keys in the vehicle and the ignition on. By removing your keys and locking your doors you can prevent this type of crime of opportunity from occurring and you can also save yourself from receiving a citation. 06 Nov 05- DUI Bogdan J. Slysz M/43 yoa, 7858 S. Rutherford, Burbank, has been charged with DUI, driving on a suspended driver s license, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle on the above date at 6:00 PM in an

4 alley in the 6800 block of 79th Street. A court date has been set for December 27, 2005 in the 5th district court building in Bridgeview, Illinois. 05 Nov 05- DUI Ronald T. Wilczewski M/55 yoa, 1814 S. Cuyler Berwyn, Illinois has been charged with DUI and breath alcohol over.08 following a traffic stop on the above date at 2:40 AM near 78th Street and Narragansett. Wilczewski was issued a court date of 9 Dec 05 at the 5th District court building in Bridgeview, Illinois. 04 Nov 05- Robbery A purse was stolen from a woman as she walked across the street at 76th Street and Cicero. The victim indicated that a black vehicle pulled along side of her and the driver leaned out of the window and grabbed her purse which was strapped over her shoulder. The offenders then fled the scene west bound on 76th Street. The victim was not injured as a results of the incident 01 Nov 05 Retail Theft Anthony Murphy M/29 yoa, St. Andrew Drive, Orland Park, IL. was charged with retail theft. Murphy failed to pay for over $300 worth of liquor at the Jewel Food Store, 7910 S. Cicero Ave. Murphy was arrested without incident and has a pending court date of December 7th, at the 5th district court house in Bridgeview, IL. 01 Nov 05- Motor Vehicle Theft A 2000 Gold Dodge Intrepid Illinois Registration # , has been stolen from the parking lot at the Best Buy Store parking lot, 7600 S. Cicero Ave October 31 Oct 05- Registered Sex Offender charged; Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse Richard Hanus M/74 yoa, 7802 S. Monitor, Burbank, IL. has been charged with two counts of Criminal Sexual Assault and two counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse for incidents involving two female victims who were 15 yoa and 16 yoa at the time of the incidents. The victims were both acquaintances of Hanus prior to the incidents. The investigation was initiated by a patrol officer who ran a check on Hanus s license plate when he observed a young female driving the car with Hanus in the passenger seat. By running the license plate the officer discovered that Hanus was a registered sex offender. The vehicle was subsequently stopped and Hanus and the female driver were brought to the police station to investigate the situation further. Hanus is a registered sex offender due to an incident which occurred in That case resulted in a guilty plea with 2 years probation and registration as a sex offender for life. Hanus went to bond hearing on November 1, and a bond of $1.5 Million was issued by Judge Smierciak. Hanus is scheduled to appear in the Bridgeview court building on November 10th at 9:00 Am in room Oct 05- DUI/ Accident Daniel M. Piece, M/ 21 yoa, 5400 W. 98th Street Oak Lawn, IL. has been charged with DUI, Breath Alcohol over.08, and driving off roadway, following an accident which occurred on the above date at 4:40 AM. Piece was backing his vehicle west bound 85th Street at Mansfield when he lost control of his vehicle, drove off the roadway and struck a wooden fence. Piece has a pending court date of November 30th at the Bridgeview court building. 29 Oct 05- Garage Burglary

5 A garage in the 7700 block of Merrimac was broken into and a large amount of snap on tools were stolen. 24 Oct 05- Attempt Motor Vehicle Theft The victim exited the LA Weight Loss Center, 7716 S. Cicero, Burbank, at 1:40 PM and observed the offender sitting in the drivers seat of her vehicle. She confronted the subject who exited the victim s vehicle and pushed the victim while the victim was holding her 2 year old child. The offender then entered a Silver 4 door Dodge Intrepid with an Indiana license plate and while backing out of a space, the offender s vehicle struck the victim knocking her to the ground. The victim was able to obtain a partial plate of the offending vehicle (948?900) and she described the offender as a male black years of age, , lbs, with a shaved head. He was last seen driving South on Cicero Avenue. Neither the victim nor her child reported any injury as a result of the incident. 19 Oct 05- Residential Burglary A residence in the 8200 block of Rutherford was broken into sometime between 10:20 AM and 3:00 PM on the above date. Offender(s) forced entry in to a rear window and removed a large amount of currency and jewelry. One ring valued at over $10,000 was described as a 1.33 carat yellow diamond ring with three stones. Two subjects described as male, Hispanic, 19 yoa, wearing white hooded sweat shirts were seen in the area around the time of the burglary. 16 Oct 05- Aggravated Battery to a Police Officer Jenna L. Gesiakowski, F/20 yoa, 8535 W. 169th Street, Tinley Park, IL. was charged with resisting a peace officer, aggravated battery, and disorderly conduct following an incident at 77th street and Natchez. Ms. Gesiakowski was creating a disturbance when officers arrived on the scene she became combative and kicked an officer. Felony charges were approved against Gesiakowski and she was held pending a bond hearing at the 5th District court building in Bridgeview, IL. 15 Oct 05- Burglary Villa s Bakery, 4826 W. 79th Street was burglarized on the listed date between 4:00 AM and 5:00 AM. Offender(s) broke the front door window and entered the business taking approximately $85 USC. 14 Oct 05- Residential Burglary An apartment in the 7800 block of Rutherford was broken into sometime between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM. The offender(s) entered through an unlocked window and once inside removed electronics, clothing, and jewelry. 12 Oct 05- Burglary from Motor Vehicle Unknown offender's forced entry into two vehicles parked in a driveway in the 8300 block of Lamon and removed tools and currency. 11 Oct 05- Production of Cannabis Plants Arthur F. Rummery M/W/ 39 yoa, 7712 S. Linder Ave, Burbank, has been charged with the production of Cannabis Plants when officers observed large cannabis plants growing over the fence in the offenders back yard. Upon further investigation officers recovered a total of eight plants between four to eight feet tall. A court date has been set for November 30th, in the fifth district court building in Bridgeview. 09 Oct 05- Aggravated Assault Jameal S. Mathis M/B/18yoa, 8129 S. Spaulding Ave. Chicago, has been charged with Aggravated Assault

6 for an incident which occurred in the Browns Chicken parking lot, 8300 S. Cicero. The victim, employee of Browns Chicken was throwing out the trash when the offender grabbed the victim by the neck and pointed a bb gun at him. A scuffle ensued and the offender fled on foot. Burbank officers located the offender in the 5100 block of 79th Street where he was arrested without incident. A court date has been set for November 16th in the fifth district court building in Bridgeview. 07 Oct 05-Retail Theft A retail theft occurred at the Radio Shack Store, 8519 S. Harlem, on the above date at 3:30 PM. The offender entered the store and after a brief conversation with the sales clerk he removed an LCD projected and fled the store. The offender is described as a male white, approximately 34 yoa, 5 10, 140 lbs, with short brown hair wearing a blue coat and blue jeans. 07 Oct 05- Burglary from Motor Vehicle Unknown offender's broke into a vehicle parked in a driveway in the 6300 block of West 83rd Street and removed several personal items of the victim. The offenders also caused a large amount of damage to the vehicle in the process. September 18 Sep 05- Public Indecency Police are looking for a male Hispanic, yoa, approximately 5 07, 220lbs, with black hair and a mustache. Witnesses indicated that the described offender exposed himself to two young females while in the area of 78th Street and Oak Park Avenue. The incident occurred on the above date at 5:20 PM. 17 Sep 05- Arson Two offenders broke the window of a 1992 Ford truck and set it on fire with some type of incendiary device. The truck was parked in an alley in the 5400 block of State Road when this occurred on September 17th at 2:00 AM. 10 Sep 05- DUI Domingo Sanchez, M/ 39 yoa, 5061 W. 31st Place, Cicero, IL. has been charged with DUI, Breath alcohol level over.08, no drivers license, no proof of insurance, driving without head lights, and violating the minimum speed limit following a traffic stop at 83rd and Cicero on the above date at 3:17 AM. Sanchez has a pending court date of October 31st at the fifth district court building in Bridgeview, IL. 10 Sep 05-DUI Scott P. Barzano M, 40 yoa, 1121 E. 33rd Street, Erie, PA has been charged with DUI, breath alcohol level over.08 and parking on roadway following a traffic stop in the 8600 block of Central Avenue. Barazano was charged after the arresting officer located him sleeping in his vehicle on Central Avenue with his foot on the break and the vehicle in gear. This occurred on the listed date at 4:46 AM. Barzano has a pending court date of October 37th at the fifth district court building in Bridgeview, IL. 07 Sep 05-Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse Burbank Police are investigating an Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse which occurred on the above date at 5:00 PM in the 5000 block of West 87th Street. The below described offender followed the 12 year old victim into her garage and while in the garage the offender began fondling the victim. The victim began to scream and the offender fled the scene on foot. Anyone who may have seen something or has information

7 regarding this alert please contact the Burbank Police Department at (708) August 28 Aug 05- DUI/ Hit and Run Accident Jausz Kondys, 23 yoa, 7114 W. 75th Street, Chicago, has been charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident, DUI, Breath alcohol over the legal limit, no valid driver s license, and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle, following and accident which occurred on the above date at 2:07 PM. Several witness contacted police regarding the offending vehicle driving off the roadway and striking street signs in the parkway, the first being in the area of 80th and Melvina and another near 78th Street and Narragansett. The vehicle information was broadcast over the police radio and the vehicle was subsequently located by Bridgeview police driving at 75th and Harlem. The driver was taken into custody and has a pending court date of October 20th in the Bridgeview Court building. 26 Aug 05- Aggravated Battery Three adults and two juveniles were charged with multiple counts of aggravated battery to police officers following an incident which took place on the above date at 5:22 PM at 8122 S, New England. A Burbank police officer observed subjects igniting fireworks at the residence on New England. While speaking with the homeowner at the residence another resident came up from behind the officer and pushed the officer. As the officer attempted to arrest the subject the crowd at the residence became irate and surrounded the officer. Several other officers arrived on the scene to assist and instantly came under attack by other people at the residence. Burbank Officers subsequently gained control of the situation and arrests were made. Charges were approved by the Cook County States Attorney s office. Adults charged in the incident were; Amnah M. Jaber, 58 yoa, 8122 S. New England, Burbank, 4 counts of aggravated battery and possession of firework, Kefah M. Jaber, 36 yoa, 8122 S. New England, Burbank, 4 counts of aggravated battery; Ayman M. Jaber, 38 yoa, 8122 S. New England, Burbank, 2 counts of aggravated battery and disorderly house (village ordinance.) Also charged as a result of the incident were a 16 year old and a 12 year old. The Adult offenders were transported to the 5th district court house for bond hearing and each received a $10,000 D bond requiring them to pay $1000 each. One officer was bit on the arm during the incident and the others received minor injuries from scratches and kicks. 26 Aug 05-DUI Joy R. Jacques, 31 yoa, 9341 S. Kolmar Avenue, Oak Lawn, has been charged with speeding and driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop at 79th Street and Luna Ave. on the above date at 2:56 AM. 25 Aug 05- Burglary A burglar broke into the Oak Park Food and Liquors, 6800 W. 87th Street, by braking out the front window of the business on the above date just past midnight. The offender was able to get away with a 12 pack of beer after breaking the $500 glass door. 23 Aug 05- Burglary from Motor Vehicle A vehicle parked on the 7700 block of Austin was broken into sometime overnight between August 23rd and 24th. The owner reported several items being stolen from inside the vehicle. 22 Aug 05-Pick Pocket On the above date at 6:00 PM a wallet was lifted from a man while shopping in the Jewel Food Store at 7910 S. Cicero. The victim indicated that he was leaning over in a freezer when a male Hispanic, approximately 26 yoa, 5 09, 160 lbs, bumped into him and excused himself. As the subject walked away the victim realized that his wallet was missing from his pants pocket.

8 15 Aug 05- Burglary from Motor Vehicle A vehicle parked in the 7800 block of Monitor Avenue was broken into sometime between August 14th at 10:00 PM to August 15th at 7:00 AM. The offenders damaged the drivers side door to gain entry and removed the stereo equipment. 15 Aug 05- Armed Robbery An armed offender made his way into an office at the Jewel Food Store, 7910 S. Cicero, at 6:40 AM on the above date. Once inside the office the offender pointed a gun at an employee and demanded the money from the safe. The offender made off with approximately $11,000 in cash and checks. The offender then fled to an awaiting vehicle being driven by a second offender. Offender # 1 is described as a male black, yoa, approximately 5 08, 170 lbs, with a black afro and goatee, wearing a black suit coat and slacks with a black hat. Offender # 2 is described as a male black, yoa, approximately 6 02, 220 lbs black afro wearing a multi colored shirt, brown slacks and a straw hat. 13 Aug 05- DUI Rachel C. Slepicka 24 yoa, 7735 S. Oconto Ave, Bridgeview, has been charged with speeding and DUI after a traffic stop at 6500 block of 70th Street on the above date at 3:49 AM. Slepicka has a pending court date of August 31, 2005 in the Bridgeview court building. 13 Aug 05- Aggravated Robbery On the above date at 1:00 Am the victim was approached by a female black offender while in the parking lot at the Jewel Food Store, 7910 S. Cicero. The offender indicated that she had a gun and demanded money. The offender got away with the victim s gold chain, approximately $250 in currency and the victim s groceries. The offender then entered a blue over gray van driven by a second offender and fled the scene East bound on 79th Street. The offender was described as a female black, approximately 5 10, 250 lbs, and black hair wearing a flower dress. 12 Aug 05- Attempt Scam Burbank police are investigating a deceptive practice where the victim received a letter from a fictitious company, Tar & Data Company, alerting the victim to the fact that she had won a cash prize of $25,000 and explaining to the victim to call a telephone number where the company could get the necessary information from the victim to process the winnings. The victim then received a check in the mail from Royal Bank of Canada in the amount of $3,700. The victim was advised to cash the check and return $3,000 to the company for expenses. After this was completed the victim would receive the check for $25,000. The victim brought the check to the bank and it was determined that the check was actually counterfeit and written on a non existing account. If anyone has received similar letters please contact your local police department. 11 Aug 05- Retail Theft Michael P. Wilson, 28 yoa, 4155 W. Marquette Ave. Chicago, has been charged with felony retail theft after stealing over $170 worth of merchandise from the Kohl s Store at 7608 S. LaCrosse. 10 Aug 05- Retail Theft Linda F. Adams, 39 yoa, 6809 S. Aberdeen, Chicago and Linda Smith, 35 yoa, 552 E. 38th Street Chicago were both charged with felony retail theft after stealing over $400 worth of merchandise from the Kohl s

9 Store at 7608 S. LaCrosse. 10 Aug 05- Armed Robbery The Chicago Food Court, 8508 S. Cicero was robbed by an armed gunman on the above date at 11:53 PM. The offender entered the store and demanded the money while armed with a large caliber semi automatic handgun. Taken was approximately $200 USC. The offender was described as a male, Hispanic or black with fair skin, yoa, approximately 5 08, 145 lbs, slim build, wearing a tan shirt and gray and white checked work pants. He also had a stocking over his face. He was last seen on foot running from the scene. 07 Aug 05- Robbery A male white approximately 40 yoa, 5 06, 170 lbs with a shaved head stole over $130 form a cash register at the 79th Street Deli, 6759 W. 79th Street on the above date at 9:31 PM. In the process of making a purchase the offender reached in the open cash register and took the currency. He then fled from the store on foot. 06 Aug 05-DUI Garbriel J. Loza M/23 yoa, 4950 W. 84th Place, Burbank, Illinois, was charged with DUI, breath alcohol level over.08, speeding and lane usage when he was stopped in the 6300 block of 79th street on the listed date at 3:43 AM. Loza has a pending court date of August 31, at the fifth district court building in Bridgeview. 01 Aug 05- DUI/Accident Michelle A. Desonia F/36 yoa, 6842 W. 79th Street, Burbank, IL. has been charged with DUI, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and no proof of insurance following a minor accident in the parking lot of Champ s Bar, 5728 W. 87th Street, Burbank, Illinois on the above date at 1:13 AM. Desonia has a pending court date of August 16th in the fifth district court building in Bridgeview. July 31 July 05- Criminal Damage to Vehicle Offenders broke the rear windows out of a vehicle which was parked in the 7900 block of Oak Park Ave. 31 July 05- DUI Wilmer F. Wittig has a pending court date of August 31st in the fifth district court building in Bridgeview. 29 July 05- Bank Robbery Burbank Police in conjunction with the FBI are investigating a bank robbery which occurred at the MB Financial Bank, 5750 W. 87th Street on the listed date at 1:14 PM. The offender entered the bank and demanded money while displaying a small hand gun. The offender then fled the bank and was last scene running north on Massasoit Ave. The offender is described as; M/W/30-35 yoa, , lbs, with brown hair wearing all black clothing. The bank reported that the offender got away with over $7000 in United States Currency. 27 July 05- Possession of Cocaine Robtavious Collins M/24 yoa, 666 Douglas Ave. Calumet City, Illinois has been charged with possession of cocaine, driving on a suspended license and loud muffler following a traffic stop on the above date at

10 9:39 PM. Collins was stopped by police for the traffic violation while in the area of 83rd and Cicero. 26 July 05-Burglary to Motor Vehicle Israel Garcia M/19yoa, 3825 S. Kenneth Chicago, Illinois has been charged with attempt burglary to motor vehicle and possession of burglary tools following his arrest in the parking lot of the Kohl s store 7608 S. LaCrosse on the above date at 11:53 AM. Police were alerted to the incident by Kohl s security while a security agent was monitoring the store surveillance cameras which cover the parking lot. Responding Burbank officers located Israel attempting to gain entry into a parked vehicle. he was subsequently arrested and transported to the Burbank Police Station. Felony charges were approved and Garcia was held awaiting a bond hearing at the fifth district court building in Bridgeview. 26 July 05- Residential Burglary A residence in the 7800 block of Meade was broken into sometime between July 23rd and July 26th. The Homeowner came home to find a window broken and a large amount of DVD movies taken from the residence. 25 July 05- Possession of Cocaine Glenn A. Beushausen M/44 yoa, 8241 S. Sayre Ave. Burbank, Illinois has been charged with possession of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia, aggravated assault, resisting a police officer and public intoxication after officers were called to the area of 82nd and Sayre for possible drug dealing. Officers located Beushausen and while speaking with him, he attempted to strike an officer. Beushausen continued to struggle with officers during the course of his arrest. He was subsequently restrained and transported to the Burbank police station for processing. Felony charges were approved and he was held at the Burbank Police lock up for a bond hearing. 23 July 05 - DUI Peter Cavazos M/39 yoa, 8012 S. Komenski Chicago, Illinois has been arrested for DUI and speeding following a traffic stop on the above date at 1:05 AM on 79th Street at New England. Cavazos was issued a court date of August 16th in the Cook County court house in Bridgeview. 23 July 05 DUI Anthony J. Evans M/ 44 yoa, McVicker Avenue, #1B, Alsip, Illinois has been charged with DUI, illegal transportation of an alcoholic beverage, lane usage, and possession of marijuana following a traffic stop in the 5000 block of west 79th Street on the above date at 1:53 AM. During the arrest, officers discovered open beer in the vehicle along with marijuana and a pipe in Mr. Evans pocket. Evans was issued a court date on July 31st in the Cook County court building in Bridgeview. 22 July 05- Retail Theft Yvonne T. Randle F/ 47 yoa, 1112 Berkshire, Barrington, Illinois was charged with retail theft from the Kohl s Store, 7608 S. LaCrosse Burbank, Illinois. Randle was caught by Kohl s security after attempting to exit the store with over $1000 worth of clothes and jewelry. Due to the amount of the stolen items felony charges were filed and Randle was sent to the Cook County court house in Bridgeview for a bond hearing. 21 July 05- Motor Vehicle Theft A tan 2005 Chevrolet Silverado License plate # 54632G was stolen from a residential driveway in the 8100 block of Natchez sometime between the 21st and 22nd of July. 19 July 05- Burglary to Motor Vehicle

11 Offenders broke into trucks in the 8300 block of Major and also the 4900 block of 85th Place sometime overnight from the 19th to the 20th of July. In both cases power tools were taken. 12 July 05- Theft Charles Witherspoon M/49 yoa, 4516 S. LeClaire Ave. Chicago, IL has been charged with theft after taking two stainless steel pie racks valued at over $1000, form the Bakers Square restaurant at 4849 W. 79th Street on July 6th at 11:41 PM. Witnesses observed the theft and were able to supply police with a license plate number from the offending vehicle and also the offender s description. Burbank detectives were able to locate Witherspoon and identify him as the offender in the incident on July 12, Witherspoon has a pending court date of August 22, 2005 at the 5th district court building in Bridgeview. 11 July 05- Battery John Hyde, 48 yoa, 8339 S. Lawler Burbank, IL has been charged with simple battery as a result of a fight with the victim at 7:30 PM on the listed date. Hyde was at the victim s residence in the 5000 block of W. 85th Street when a fight ensued between the victim and Hyde. Hyde cut the victim in the neck with a small knife and fled the scene. Police were able to locate Hyde riding from the scene on a bicycle. Hyde was transported to the police station where he was charged with battery and issued a court date of August 24th at the Bridgeview court building. The victim was transported to Christ Hospital by Burbank ambulance where he was treated and released. 10 July 05- Aggravated Battery with a firearm On the above date at 2:20 AM police responded to a call of shots fired in the parking lot at the Cezar s Inn, 5001 W. 79th Street Burbank. A 20 year old victim was shot in the shoulder during an altercation between several subjects. Two offenders had handguns during the incident; suspect #1 is described as a male black approx yoa, 5 06, small build, wearing a black collared shirt with stripes across the chest. Suspect # 2 is described as a male black approx yoa, 6 03, lbs, with corn row braided hair wearing a white tee shirt and a yellow visor. Both offenders fled in a newer 4 dr vehicle with a sun roof, possible a jaguar. The vehicle fled East bound 79th street after the incident. The victim was transported to Christ Hospital by Burbank ambulance where he was treated and released. The photographs to the below is a security camera photo of suspects wanted for questioning by Burbank Police Detectives. The second photograph is that of the offending vehicle. Anyone with information concerning this incident can contact the Burbank Police at (708) July 05- Residential Burglary A residence in the 5200 block of State Road was burglarized between 9:30 AM and 12:19 PM on the listed date. Offender(s) gained entry by forcing open the rear door of the residence and once inside took a large amount of Jewelry. 08 July 05- DUI Bogdan J. Slysz, M/43yoa, 7858 S. Rutherford, Burbank has been charged with DUI, driving while breath alcohol level is over.08 and illegal parking when the arresting officer came upon Slysz s vehicle stopped in traffic in the 5400 block of 79th street on the above date at 12:18 AM. The officer discovered Slysz sleeping behind the wheel while the vehicle was running. Slysz was transported to the Burbank police station and processed for the above charges. A court date has been set for July 26th, 2005 in the 5th District court building. 06 July 05- Reckless driving / fleeing from police David E. Lenoci M/21 yoa, Southwest Highway, Worth has been arrested for fleeing / attempt to elude a police officer, reckless driving, driving on a suspended drivers license, disobeying several stop

12 signs, and leaving the scene of a property damage accident following an incident which took place on July 4th at 12:10 AM. A Burbank police officer observed Lenoci driving recklessly at 79th street and Lacrosse. The officer activated his emergency lights and Lenoci continued driving in a reckless manner until striking a vehicle in the 7800 block of Cicero. Lenoci then fled the accident scene on foot. Burbank investigators were able to locate Lenoci on 6 July 05 at which time he was arrested and charged with the above charges. Lenoci was held for a felony bond hearing on July 7th, 2005 at the 5th District Court Building in Bridgeview. No injuries were reported as a result of the accident. 02 July 05- Criminal Trespass to Motor Vehicle Joseph E. Styrczula M/27 yoa, 5516 W. 55th Street Chicago, IL has been charged with trespass to a motor vehicle, driving on a revoked driver s license and speeding, following a traffic stop in the 7600 block of Central Avenue at 5:19 PM. While speaking to Stryrczula the arresting officer observed a pealed steering column on the vehicle. A computer check of the vehicle license plate indicated that it was stolen form Chicago on June 24th. The arresting officer contacted the Cook County States Attorney s office for felony charges of possession of a stolen motor vehicle but the charges were denied. Styrczula was charged with the misdemeanors and a court date has been set for August 22 in the fifth district court house in Bridgeview. 02 July 05- DUI David E. Peters M/52 yoa, S. Ridgeway Chicago, IL. has been charged with DUI, breath alcohol over the legal limit, and driving with out headlights following a traffic stop in the 8700 block of Cicero Avenue at 2:59 AM on the above date. A court date has been set for July 26th in the fifth district court building in Bridgeview, IL. 02 July 05- Retail Theft Cara Anne Seminetta F/23 yoa, 9338 S. 79th Street, Hickory Hills, IL and Bryon D. Stiemann M/21 yoa, S. 53rd Avenue, Oak Lawn, IL have been charged with felony retail theft after being stopped exiting the Jewel Food Store, 7910 S. Cicero, with over $320 worth of merchandise offered for sale at the store. The assistant states attorney s office approved felony charges due to the amount of the stolen items. Both were held at the Burbank Police lock up pending a bond hearing. June 30 June 05- DUI Prudencio Rodriguez M/29 yoa, of 7730 S. Major Ave, Burbank has been charged with DUI, breath alcohol over the legal limit, driving on a suspended drivers license, and improper lane usage following a traffic stop on the above date at 3:34 AM. The arresting officer observed Rodriguez as his vehicle exited the Speedway Gas station lot at 79th Street and Central crossing over several lanes of traffic. Rodriguez was transported to the police station where he was held for bond and issued a court date of July 26th in the fifth district court building. 30 June 05- DUI Russell J. Barajas M/42, 7919 W. 83rd Avenue, Justice, Illinois has been charged with DUI and driving on a revoked driver s license following a traffic stop at 87th Street and Cicero at 7:06 PM on the above date. Due to the fact that Barajas s driver s license was revoked from a previous DUI felony charges were approved by the cook county assistant states attorney s office. Barajas was held for a bond hearing at the fifth district court building in Bridgeview. 26 Jun3 05- Retail Theft Kimberly Kostecki, F/18 yoa, 5746 S. Natchez, Chicago and Jana Wojcik F/18, 4848 W. 141st Street Crestwood were arrested on the above date for retail theft after stealing over $700 worth of Clothing and Jewelry from the Kohls store at 7608 S. Cicero Avenue. They have a pending court date of June 19th in the fifth district court building in Bridgeview.

13 25 June 05- Revoked Drivers License Jose L. Anaya M/40 yoa, 7842 A. LaCrosse Ave, Burbank was charged with a felony for driving while his license was revoked. Anaya was stopped for speeding in the 8400 block of Cicero Avenue at 1:46 AM on the above date. The next court date has been set for June 25th in the fifth district court building in Bridgeview. 23 June 05- DUI Efren Gonzalez M/ 43 yoa, 8628 W. 73rd Place Justice, Illinois was charged with DUI, improper parking on roadway and Driving while breath alcohol was over the legal limit following a stop at 1:05 AM on the above date in the 8500 block of Nottingham. The next court date has been set for June 23rd in the fifth district court building in Bridgeview. 17 June 05- Residential Burglary Claudio M. Espinoza M/23 yoa, 8338 S. Kilbourn Chicago, has been charged with residential burglary following a break in which occurred on the above date in the 8500 block of Lamon. Officer Moran of the Burbank police department stopped Espinoza in the area of 84th Street and Cicero Avenue for expired license plates on June 21st at about 4:00 PM. During a drivers license check it was discovered that Espinoza was also driving while his license was suspended. During the course of the traffic stopped Officer Moran observed camera equipment and jewelry in Espinoza s vehicle. During the course of the investigation it was learned that this was property taken in a burglary which had just occurred in Oak Lawn. Espinoza was turned over to Burbank Detectives and their investigation revealed that Espinoza had been responsible for several burglaries in Burbank, Oak Lawn and Worth. Espinoza also had outstanding warrants from the U.S. Marshal s office and the Colorado Department of Justice. He is being held at the Cook County Jail awaiting trial. 16 June 05- Aggravated Assault Eugeniusz Trofimiuk M/51 yoa, 8149 S. Austin Avenue, Burbank, has been charged with Aggravated Assault after allegedly pointing a pellet rifle gun at a neighbor and threatening the neighbor. This occurred on the listed date at 8:16 PM while the victim was doing yard work at her residence. Trofimiuk has a pending court date of August 5th in the 5th District court building in Bridgeview, IL. 10 June 05- Possession of a controlled substance/ Unlawful Use of Weapons Eric S. Kall, 18 yoa, and Ryan P. Kall, 19 yoa, both of 8046 S. Narragansett, Burbank, IL have been charged with Possession of Controlled substance and weapon Offenses following a search warrant served at their residence. Burbank police developed information regarding drug sales and weapons at the listed residence. A search warrant was obtained and Burbank investigators along with the Combined Emergency Response Team (CERT) served the warrant on the listed date in the early morning hours. Burbank K-9 Officer Kazan located a quantity of cocaine and a further search revealed four guns, including an AK47/MAK 90/ Sporter, and a large quantity of ammunition. Both Kall s were charged and held for a bond hearing. Judge La Brenda White issued Eric Kall a $25,000 D- bond and Ryan Kall a $5,000 D-bond. The next court date for the Kall s has been set for June 27th at the 5th District court house in Bridgeview. 09 June 05- Residential Burglary Ronnie L. Easterling M/B/18 yoa, 7522 S. Crandon Chicago, IL. was arrested by Burbank Police for a rash of crimes which lasted from June 7th to June 9th. Easterling was captured after a brief foot chase in the Scottsdale area on June 9th following a garage burglary which occurred in the 8400 block of Le Claire, where the victim witnessed the incident and notified police. During the course of the investigation Burbank

14 Police were able to clear up two residential burglaries from the 8300 block of Lavergne and 4900 block of 85th street and also a theft of a motor vehicle from the 4900 block of 82nd street. Easterling was held for a bond hearing. Easterling received a $400,000 D bond for all the charges and has a pending court date of June 30th at the Bridgeview court building. 08 June 05- Retail Theft Marcise Mosley, F/ 33 yoa, 8902 S. Union, Chicago, IL has been charged with felony retail theft after removing over $250 worth of clothing from the Kohl s Store at 7608 S. LaCrosse Avenue. Mosley was stopped by Kohl s security after leaving the store with the merchandise concealed in a Kohl s shopping bag. Mosley was held for a bond hearing where she was issued a $25,000 D bond. The next court date has been set for June 24th, 2005 at the Bridgeview court building. 08 June 05- Motor Vehicle Theft A black 2003 Lexus GS400, Illinois license plate number was stolen from the Olive Garden Restaurant parking lot at 4801 W. 77th Street. The vehicle was parked in the lot on June 8th at 6:00 PM and when the owner went back to the parking lot two hours later the vehicle was gone. 08 June 05- Aggravated battery A Burbank resident in the 7800 block of Normandy was the victim of an aggravated battery when he exited his residence at 3:18 AM after hearing a noise in his back yard. While walking in his driveway he was struck in the head with a flashlight. After a brief struggle the offender fled down the driveway and entered a light blue 4 door Oldsmobile driven by a second offender. The offender was described as M/B/30-35 yoa, , lbs. The victim received a minor laceration to his head. 05 June 05- DUI Tatiana M. Wojitoicz, F/32 yoa, 7811 W. Mason Ave. Burbank, Il. has been charged with DUI, driving while breath alcohol level was over.08 and operating an uninsured motor vehicle following a traffic stop. Wojitoicz was stopped in the roadway in the 5300 block of 79th street at 10:40 PM when the arresting officer observed her sitting in her vehicle. Wojitoicz was placed under arrest and given a court date of July 15th, 2005 in the Bridgeview court house. May 30 May 05- DUI/ Leaving the scene of an accident Anthony D. Hook 29 yoa, 6500 W. 79th Street Burbank, IL. has been charged with DUI, leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, and damage to city property following an accident which occurred in the 7800 block of Natoma on the listed date at 5:16 PM. Hook has a pending court date of July 15, 2005 at the 5th District court building. 29 May 05 Theft from coin operated machine John E. Chambers 17yoa, 4437 W. 87th Street, Michael J. Dwyer II, 18 yoa, 4560 W. 89th Street and a juvenile, all of Hometown, were charged with theft from a coin operated machine after entering Reavis High School property, 6034 W. 77th Street, and using a crow bar to break into a soda machine near the football stadium. The offenders fled on foot upon observing the police officers but all three were subsequently arrested. The two adults were issued a July 11th court date and the juvenile offender will was turned over to a juvenile officer for charges. During the course of the investigation officers learned of a similar incident in Hickory Hills. The two adult offenders were transported to Hickory Hills for their investigation. 27 May 05- Deceptive Practice

Eberhart, Chicago, IL has been charged with Deceptive Practices when she attempted to cash a $3500 check from a closed account at the Mid America Bank, 4900 W. 87th Street. The checks were reported stolen to the Chicago Police Department on 29 April 05. Davis has a pending court date of June 17, 2005 at the Bridgeview court building. 26 May 05 Retail Theft Eugene C. Anderson Jr., 36 yoa, 63 W. 104th Place, Chicago, IL has been charged with felony retail theft following an incident which occurred on the above date at 5:00 PM. Anderson stole $196 worth of vodka from the Food 4 less store at 7770 S. Cicero. He was held at the Burbank Police Station awaiting a bond hearing. 21 May 05- Residential Burglary A home in the 8500 block of Natchez was burglarized between 6:00 PM and 11:00 PM on the 21st of May. Offender(s) forced entry into the residence and jewelry, money, and electronic equipment. 21 May 05- DUI/ aggravated battery to a police officer/ resisting arrest Rachel Nelson 21 yoa, 8112 S. Leamington, Burbank, IL has been charged with driving under the influence, aggravated battery, resisting a police officer, improper lane usage, speeding and no insurance following a traffic stop on May 21st at 1:45 AM. Officers stopped Nelson s vehicle at 79th street and Long Avenue after observing several traffic violations. Upon stopping the vehicle Nelson exited the vehicle and became combative with police. She was subsequently arrested and charged. Nelson has a pending court date of June 17th at the 5th District court building in Bridgeview. 19 May 05- Residential Burglary A home in the 8100 block of New Castle was broken into sometime between 7:00 PM and 10:00 PM on the 19th of May. The offender(s) forced entry into the residence and removed computer equipment and jewelry. 17 May 05 Armed Robbery The Jelisco Restaurant, 6547 W. 79th Street, was held up at gun point by two offenders on the listed date at 9:25 PM. The offenders entered the restaurant armed with a black handgun and demanded money. Both offenders fled on foot southbound on Nashville Avenue. A restaurant employee reported the loss of around $500. The offenders are described as: Offender #1:M/B yoa, , 190 to 210 lbs, heavy build, with black hair and a dark complexion. Wearing a tan hooded sweatshirt and blue pants. Offender #2: M/B yoa, , 220 to 250 lbs, heavy build, with black hair and a dark complexion. Wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants. 16 May 05 - Aggravated Robbery Officers responded to a report of robbery at approximately 10:00A.M at the Marathon gas station located at 6745 W. 79th St. responding units spoke to the clerk and learned that two men had jumped over the counter, grabbed the cashier by her arm and threatened her. The suspects then took an unknown amount of cash from the register and fled. The suspects vehicle was described by the clerk as red Pontiac Grand Am with a temporary license plate and a frame stating "I love Rizza" on the rear. At approximately 6:30pm that evening Sgt. Tim Abbott observed a vehicle matching the description from the earlier incident at which time he conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle in the 8400 block of Harlem Ave. The auto was occupied by the Reginald Tate, 20, of 125 E. 104th St., Chicago; and Eric Norals, 19, both men were taken into custody interviewed and later charged with Aggravated robbery. Burbank police officers also learned that both suspects were also involved in a robbery that had taken place on 16 May 2005 at around 5:00PM at another

16 Marathon gas station located at 6800 W. 95th St. in Oak Lawn where the men had threatened to kill the gas station's attendant, after one held him and the other punched him repeatedly. Both men were held for a bond hearing at the Bridgeview court. 15 May 05- Residential Burglary A home in the 8300 block of Moody was broken into sometime between the 14th and 15th of May. Offender(s) forced entry into the residence and removed stereo equipment. 08 May 05- Burglary The Delta Lounge, 5640 W. 87th Street was burglarized sometime between 3:45 AM and 5:40 AM on the above date. The offender(s) gained entry by prying open the door. Once inside the establishment the offender(s) took over $500 of United States Currency from behind the bar. The offender(s) also damaged a video game in an apparent attempt to remove the change. 08 May 05- Residential Burglary A home in the 8400 block of Lawler was burglarized sometime during the evening of May 7th. Offender(s) forced entry through a basement window and removed the home owner s safe which contained currency and jewelry. The offender(s) fled through the rear door of the residence. 07 May 05- Burglary to motor vehicle Offender(s) broke into a vehicle while it was parked in the Jewel food store parking lot at 7910 S. Cicero. The victim was inside the store between 9:30 PM and 9:45 PM on the above date when the incident occurred. The offender(s) damaged the door to enter the vehicle and once entry was gained the offender(s) stole the stereo, compact disks and also currency. 04 May 05- DUI William J. McCarry 54, th Ave. SW, Cedar Rapids, IA, has been charged with DUI, improper lane usage, and driving with out insurance following a traffic stop which occurred on the above date at 4:00 PM. McCarry s vehicle was stopped after a call from a citizen regarding McCarry s driving. McCarry has a court date of May 23rd at the 5th District court building in Bridgeview. 02 May 04-Theft Sometime between April 30th and May 2 Offender(s) entered a home under construction in the 8000 block of long and removed a white whirlpool tub and shower base which were due to be installed in the new home. April 30 April 05- Theft of Motor Vehicle Donald A. Krisk Jr., 22 yoa, has been charged with Motor vehicle theft, DUI, driving on a suspended drivers license, and damage to city property following an incident which occurred on the above date at 1:40 AM in the 8600 block of Leamington. An Oak Lawn police officer observed Krisk turn on to the parkway at 87th and Leamington and strike a street light. Krisk then reportedly fled on foot and was captured a short time later. During the course of the investigation officers determined that the vehicle had been stolen a short time earlier from the 8600 block of Leamington. 27 April 05- Residential Burglary

17 Sometime between 6 AM and 4 PM on the above date offender(s) forced entry into a residence in the 8200 block of Meade and removed currency and electronic equipment. 24 April 05- Criminal Damage to Property Offender(s) slashed all four tires of the victim s vehicle while it was parked in a driveway in the 8400 block of Mayfield. 24 April 05 Residential Burglary A house in the 8400 block of Moody was burglarized. The complainant entered the residence and discovered that a basement window had been broken out and jewelry and electronic items had been stolen. 23 April 05- Attempt theft of motor vehicle On the above date at 2:20 AM the offender broke the rear window of a 1989 Oldsmobile 88 and entered the vehicle while it was parked in a lot in the 5100 block of 79th street. Witnesses observed the offender driving away from the scene. A witness yelled at the offender as the vehicle drove off the roadway and struck the sign at the First Baptist Church at 7958 S. LeClaire. The offender exited the vehicle while it was still in motion and fled on foot. A witness was able to enter the moving vehicle and bring it to rest. The offender was described as a male, 5 09, thin build wearing a yellow hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. 22 April 05- Burglary to motor vehicle Several unlocked vehicles which were parked in the area between 84th street and 85th street between the 7000 and 7100 blocks were entered and in two of the incidents victims indicated that items were missing from their vehicles. The other incidents victim s related that nothing appeared missing but the interior of the vehicles were rummaged through. Although we would like to feel secure in and around are home it is very important to lock the doors of your parked vehicles to prevent these crimes of opportunity. 20 April 05- Possession of controlled substance Victor M. Cerezo 17 yoa, 8637 S. Laramie Ave. Burbank, has been charged with Possession of a controlled substance. A Burbank officer approached Cerezo on the above date at 7:00pm in the 8500 block of LeClaire while investigating a prior incident. When Cerezo exited his vehicle he dropped a plastic bag which was later identified as suspect cocaine. Cerezo was placed under arrest and held for bond hearing. 20 April 05- Retail Theft The offender grabbed an HP photo printer valued at $219 and fled the store at the Radio Shack store 8030 S. Cicero Avenue. The item was on display at the store. Witnesses described the offender as a male black years of age, and weighing approximately 170lbs. The offender also had straight black hair and a goatee wearing a mutli-colored shirt and black pants. The offender was last seen entering a four door silver vehicle. 18 April 05- DUI / Hit and run accident Edward Sztachelski, 52 yoa, 9549 S. 78th Court (unit A) Hickory Hills, IL was charged with DUI, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Sztachelske caused an accident at 79th Street and Harlem Avenue at 5:10 PM. Police were able to locate Sztachelski by information supplied by witnesses at the accident scene. Sztachelske will appear in court at the Bridgeview court house on June 10th. 17 April 05-Aggravated Robbery

18 Derrick Gilbert, 26 yoa, 1243 W. 101st Place, Chicago, IL was charged with aggravated robbery regarding an incident which occurred at the Burger King, 4848 W. 87th Street, on the above date at 7:30 AM. Gilbert allegedly entered the restaurant and ordered food. As the clerk opened the cash register Gilbert demanded the money indicating that he had a gun. Gilbert reached over the counter and took approximately $60 from the register and fled the scene. Responding officers broadcasted the offender s description via a police radio at which time a Hometown officer observed a subject fitting the description in a parking lot at 87th and Cicero. This subject, later identified by witnesses was arrested and charged. Gilbert was held for a bond hearing and Judge Brownfield issued a $100,000 D-bond with a follow up court date set for May 5th at the Bridgeview court building. 17 April 05- Aggravated Battery/Robbery Robert Oberek, 40 yoa, 7849 S. Lawler, Burbank, was charged with Aggravated Battery and Robbery for an incident which occurred at the Phillips 66 station at 5149 W. 79th Street. Oberek allegedly entered the gas station and was able to overpower the 61 year old clerk and take over $200 of United States currency and also cigarettes and cigars. Oberek was arrested a short time later at his residence. During the course of this investigation detectives observed similarities with a similar armed robbery which occurred at the Clark Gas station at 5760 W. 79th Street on April 10th at 9:00 AM. Oberek was also charged with armed robbery for this incident. Oberek was held for bond hearing and Judge Brownfield issued a $250,000 D-Bond for the Phillips 66 robbery/ aggravated battery and another $200,000 for the Clark Gas Station Armed Robbery. A follow up court date has been set for May 5th at the Bridgeview Court building. 15 April 05- Criminal Damage to Motor Vehicles Some time late Friday night and early Saturday morning offenders broke windows on three vehicles parked in the area of 85th and Meade Avenue. Another vehicle window was also damaged in the 8100 block of Latrobe. 14 Apr 05- Reckless Conduct Charges Eric Kall, 17 yoa, 8046 S. Narragansett Burbank, IL and Michael Martinez 20 yoa, 5800 S. Kildare, Chicago, IL were both charged with reckless conduct for an incident which occurred on the above date at 10:55 PM. Both subjects armed with baseball bates were swinging the bats as cars traveling on Narragansett at 81st street. Responding to a call from a citizen Burbank Detectives observed the two subjects walking towards the detective police vehicle with their baseball bats. Once Kall and Martinez realized it was an unmarked police vehicle Martinez fled and Kall lowered his bat. Both subject were arrested and charged. Kall and Martinez have a pending court date of June 2nd at the 5th district court building in Bridgeview, IL. 10 April 05- Theft of Motor Vehicle On the above date at 11:00 PM the two offenders were in the Marz Auto Mart lot 8059 S. Harlem Avenue and were observed taking a white 2000 Chevrolet van from the dealer and fled the scene driving north bound Harlem Avenue from the parking lot. Officers arrived on the scene and also located another vehicle in the lot with a broken passenger side window. The first offender was described as a male Hispanic years of age 5 05 to 5 08, 175 lbs wearing a dark sweat shirt with a hood and dark work pants. The second offender was described as a male black. 10 April 05 Armed Robbery On the above date at 8:57 AM the offender confronted the clerk outside of the Clark Gas Station at 5706 W. 79th Street with a handgun and ordered the clerk back inside the gas station demanding the money and cigarettes. The clerk complied and the offender fled the scene on foot westbound 79th street. The Offender was described as a male white, yoa, , lbs with salt and pepper hair wearing a brown and blue checker shirt a black leather coat and grey sweats.

19 09 April 05 - Theft of Motor Vehicle A black 1990 Plymouth Sundance was stolen on the above date between 9:00 AM and 6:10 PM from the Best Buy parking lot at 7600 S. Cicero Ave. 09 April 05- DUI/ Recovered Stolen Motor Vehicle Joseph E. Johnson 21 yoa, 5944 S. Rockwell, Chicago, IL. was charged with DUI, no drivers license and also possession of a stolen motor vehicle after being stopped for a traffic violation on the above date at 7:20 PM. Officer Kush of the Burbank Police Department observed Johnson driving a vehicle with expired Illinois registration and conducted a traffic stop in the 5400 block of State Road. After checking the vehicle license plate it was learned that the vehicle had been reported stolen in the City of Chicago. Officer Kush also observed signs of alcohol impairment on Johnson. Johnson was subsequently arrested and charged. Also in the vehicle at the time of the arrest were Dorine Crowder 31 yoa, 1851 S. Marquette, Chicago and Jesse Johnson 25 yoa, 7517 S. Yale, Chicago. Both were charged with trespass to motor vehicle. All three have pending court dates at the 5th District court house in Bridgeview. 07 April 05- Forgery (Counterfeit US Currency) Burbank Police along with the United States Secret Service are investigating incidents involving counterfeit $100 bills. On 6 April at the Dollar Tree Store, 8146 S. Cicero offenders had used a Counterfeit $100 bill on three separate occasions. On 11 April a similar $100 counterfeit bill was used at the Farbin Brothers Shell station at 4801 W. 79th Street. The bills are actual five dollar bills which have been altered to appear as $100 bills. The bill actually has the Abraham Lincoln water mark still intact. Since it is currency paper it does not indicate when tested with a counterfeit pen. A close examination of the bill held to the light will reveal the water mark of the actual value of the bill. The counterfeit bills have been sent to the United States Secret Service laboratory for further testing. 06 April 05- Burglary Offender(s) forced entry into a garage in the 8100 block of Neenah sometime between April 3rd to April 6th. The victim reported that various tools including two impact wrenches, a Craftsman air drill and a die grinder, and a set of Dunlop tires and Rims were taken in the Burglary. 06 April 05- DUI Accident Trushar J. Patel, 25 yoa, 1541 Revere Circle, Schaumburg, IL was charged with DUI, no insurance, failure to reduce speed to avoid and accident, and damage to city property, following a single vehicle accident. Patel was not injured in the accident when his vehicle drove off the roadway and struck a tree in the parkway on the 8600 block of Newland. 04 Apr 05-Residential Burglary A home in the 7500 Block of Mansfield was burglarized on April 1st between 8:00 PM and 11:30 PM. Offender(s) entered through a basement window and stole jewelry and electronics equipment. The offender(s) also caused a large amount of damage inside the residence. March 30 Mar 05- Burglary Offender(s) broke into the Lovely Lady Beauty Solon, 8510 S. Cicero, by opening a vent on the roof of the

20 business gaining access to the store. The offender(s) exited the rear door of the establishment after taking a small amount of cash left in the cash drawer. 29 Mar 05-Theft of Purse A wallet was stolen from a purse while the owner was shopping at Food 4 Less, 7770 S. Cicero. On the above date at 2:00 PM a shopper left her purse in a shopping cart unattended when the offender reached into her purse and removed the wallet. The offender is described as male black, yoa, , approximately 170 lbs, and a shaved head wearing all white clothing, reach into the purse. The offender exited the store and entered a dark colored vehicle. The incident was caught on the in store security cameras. Women shoppers should be aware of their purse at all times; this would prevent this from happening to you. 29 Mar 05-DUI Marek P. Bednarz, 29 yoa, 9524 S. Massasoit, Oak Lawn, has been charged with DUI and failure to yield at a stop intersection on the above date at 7:30 AM. Bednarz disobeyed a stop sign and was involved in an accident at 86th Street and Central. Officers investigating the accident observed signs of impairment on Bednarz while investigating the accident. A court date has been set for May 11th at the 5th District court house in Bridgeview. 28 Mar 05- Stolen Vehicle A blue 2002 Dodge Intrepid Illinois License # was taken from the Walgreen's Parking lot, 5400 W. 79th Street at about 8:00 PM on the above date. The victim indicated that the vehicle was not locked. 28 Mar 05-Stolen Vehicle A white, 1998 Plymouth Breeze bearing Illinois License # was taken from the Babies R Us parking lot 7750 S. Cicero on the above date between 2:00 PM and 2:30 PM. The victim indicated that the vehicle was unlocked and the keys were left inside. A Burbank Police officer discovered a vehicle which was previously reported stolen out of Evergreen Park in the same lot later in the evening. The vehicle was turned over to Evergreen Park police. 28 Mar 05-Aggravated Robbery The offender walked into the Pepe s Mexican Restaurant, 8516 S. Cicero, at 8:00 PM and inferred that he possessed a hand gun and demanded money. The Cashier complied and the offender fled the scene on foot. The offender was described as male white between years of age, 6 00 tall and approximately 200 lbs. He was wearing a dark green coat and had a goatee. The offender pulled his hood down covering part of his face during the incident. 27 Mar 05-Burglary to motor vehicle A vehicle was broken into on the above date between 2:00 AM and 8:00 AM while it was parked in the 8500 block of Menard. Taken was a large amount of after market stereo equipment with a value of $ Mar 05-Possession of Cocaine Fernando Diaz, 20 yoa, 6358 S. Tripp Chicago, IL. was arrested for possession of cocaine following a traffic stop at 79th Street and Cicero avenue on the above date at 10:00 PM. Burbank police stopped the vehicle for a traffic offense and discovered the cocaine. Felony review approved felony charges and Diaz was held for bond hearing.
