1 In this userguide, we will demonstrate how to integrate emoney with Envestnet. In emx, emoney has partnered with Envestnet, a portfolio service provider for advisors, to provide an easy way for Advisors to access Envestnet and generate reports without having to log into a separate system. The emoney-envestnet integration will provide our advisors Single-Sign-On access to the Envestnet platform from within emx. Note: Envestnet set-up will only be available to Advisors at this time. However, the Envestnet integration will be visible through impersonation from a Support user. 1. If no Single-Sign-On to Envestnet has been created, go the Applications dropdown and choose Setup. 2. Under the emx Select menu, find Envestnet and click Select. 3. Fill out the data points on the form and click Send. Note: We will pre-populate all the fields with the exception of the Account field if the data is available from the Advisor s contact info. 1 Envestnet Integration

2 4. Once the integration with Envestnet is established, emoney will automatically: a. Create the Envestnet Connection (it does not require credentials) b. Submit a Support Ticket to emoney s Data Support Services (DSS) i. DSS will then send this information to Envestnet ii. Until the Advisor is linked, the following pending page appears when selecting Envestnet from the Applications menu. c. The Tracking Number is a hyperlink that will display the support ticket submitted to DSS. d. This is the same type of ticket we submit today in production. The Advisor will get a confirmation and subsequent s from DSS when the ticket is updated and/or resolved. Notes: The connection ticket will also be accessible in the Connection Console from the Envestnet connection. Once Envestnet links the advisor, the connection ticket will be closed and the Single Sign On (SSO) to Envestnet via the Applications menu should work 2 Envestnet Integration

3 5. Click Import Clients. 6. The user is taken to the Connections/Clients tab. Once the clients pull in from Envestnet, the Advisor can choose to Link to an existing emx client or Import as a new client to emx. Advisor can filter their client list as well. By default the client page lists all of the Advisor s Envestnet Clients. Similar to emx s own client list an Advisor can choose to filter this list to show only: Linked Clients Unlinked Clients All emx Clients Linked emx Clients Unlinked emx Clients Note: Linked client names will be listed in blue indicating it is clickable. Clicking on the name will take the Advisor to the client s emx Overview page. Unlinked client names will be listed in black. 3 Envestnet Integration

4 If an Envestnet client has not been linked to emx, two actions links will be available: Link Import When choosing to Link the client to an existing emx client, the option exists to: Select from a list of potential emx client name matches found Search for an existing emx client by name to link too. 7. If linking to an existing emx client, use the match found or search for the client to link up. Click Link. 4 Envestnet Integration

5 8. If the advisor chooses to import as a new client in emx, the client s contact info from Envestnet is pulled in and the client s accounts are automatically linked. Make sure name is correct and click the Import button. 9. Once a client is linked there will be a link to Unlink the client from the Clients list. This will unlink the client from the integration. However, their Envestnet accounts will remain linked until the Advisor chooses to unlink and/or delete them from the Accounts page. 5 Envestnet Integration

6 Deleted Connection If the connection has been deleted, emoney will present a recover connection page to the advisor. This will recreate the connection as well as rebuild the account groups. Any client previously linked should be re-linked after the connection recovery. If the accounts were deleted when the connection was removed the advisor can check the Import all accounts box, and click the Recover button. This will automatically re-import all the accounts. Note: If the facts were not deleted when the connection was removed, importing all accounts would cause duplication. If the advisor wants to re-link the accounts to existing facts they would need to manually link the accounts to the facts in the connection console. Once the Envestnet integration has been made, future access to the link is from the Applications menu. 6 Envestnet Integration

7 Envestnet Proposal 1. To create an Envestnet Proposal under a specific client, go to the Clients tab and choose a client. 2. Click the Plans tab. 3. If the client is linked to Envestnet, there will be an option to Create Envestnet Proposal. 4. Click Continue. 7 Envestnet Integration

8 5. This will take the Advisor to the Proposal Properties screen of that client. Envestnet also has a SSO to emx, so if the Advisor is already signed into Envestnet, they can link to emx and would hop them over to the emx Advisor Home page. This link is available from both the General and Proposal tab in Envestnet. 8 Envestnet Integration
