3 Books Sales Pages For one book or multiple books, you need a sales page. Create one page for each book for the search engines Should I buy my book name as a domain? Include buy buttons, an Amazon code or a bookseller code on where to buy. Include Featured Product-new books, place on the home page/sidebar, with a blurb and link to the sales page.

10 Author Biography Page Biography Basics Don t be shy. People want to know who the author is. Give the reader an accurate sense of who you are and what you do. Why do you write? What do you love about it? Why do you like the genre you are writing about? What are you passionate about as a writer? Are you a speaker/presenter? Include a headshot. Get a professional headshot taken. Include your contact information, or link to your contact page under your bio/about section.

15 Blogging- Get heard, be seen! Writers should be blogging. Whatever your topic, you must have things to say. You can use your research, your passions, your characters, your hobbies, tips for your readers, updates on what you are doing, events, speaking, appearances, and whatever else you want to speak about. Remember that this is your place to express yourself. Blogging brings people to your website. This is a sure-fire way to build your visibility online. Search engines love blogging, it is fresh content and that new content is the number one item for search engines. Share new blog posts on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

16 Call to Action Every website needs some kind of call to action. As an author you should be building up a mailing list. Offer an RSS feed sign up. Use the broadcasting feature offered by Mailchimp and Aweber. Include a newsletter, tip sheet, free sample chapter, bonus offers, or any goodies you would like to give away! Your list is your gold. This is how you can sell books, your services, connect with fans, and maximize all your hard work on the website.
