April July November 8 9 Joyce Holt Director, Academy of Veterinary Imaging Growing up, I spent time in New Mexico and Texas, where I was surrounded by a menagerie of animals and spent most of my time riding horses. I attended Tarleton State University and graduated in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Production. Following graduation, I worked for a wholesale grocery company as the manager of the IS Department. I decided to go back to college in 1996 to attend veterinary school. This is where I was introduced to ultrasound and immediately fell in love with it. As fate would have it, I entered ultrasound school in 1997 and graduated in I worked as a registered Cardiac Sonographer for over a year, when I was approached by Sound-Eklin to be an Applications Specialist. I have been with Sound-Eklin for over 11 years now, I am the Director of Education. My job is an adventure that encompasses my three biggest passions: animals, ultrasound and travel. I consider myself very fortunate to be a part of the Sound-Eklin team and to have the opportunity to build a very successful animal adoption program, and have saved hundreds of four-legged friends during the past six years and look forward to another strong year.
