ECU s Switch Kit provides you one, easy to complete form to use for your current pre-authorized payments and direct deposits. We ve even provided an easy to follow checklist to keep track of your switch to Beyond Free Checking! 4 Simple Steps Step 1 Open Your New Account - Visit your nearest ECU branch! Some things that are helpful when opening your checking account, include: Current checking account information (i.e. a voided check, account number, routing number) Bill stubs for your current pre-authorized payments Valid form of identification Don t forget to sign up for easy-to-use ECU Online and Online bill pay services Step 2 Step 3 Stop using your account at the financial institution you re switching from, but leave the account open for three to four weeks until all checks have cleared and your direct deposits and automatic payments have been successfully switched. Transfer automatic deposits and automatic withdrawals to your new account using the Switch Form and Contact List. We ll help you prepare the forms to make your transfers and provide you with many phone numbers that will make your switch easier! Step 4 Close your former checking account once all checks have cleared and payments and deposits have been successfully transferred. You re DONE! Wasn t that simple?
