I am a:

What was your overall rating of the faculty Jeffrey Frank, MD?

The learning objectives designated for this activity can help me strive to describe the process of determining brain death.

The learning objectives designated for this activity can help me strive to describe the relevance of new guidelines in brain death determination.

A 49 year old woman suffers an acute cerebellar hemorrhage that extends into the brain-stem. There is no intraventricular hemorrhage or hydrocephalus. The CT identifying the hemorrhage was just completed prior to your evaluation. She has not been exposed to sedatives. She was intubated without sedatives or paralytics. Her laboratory studies are normal, and she is euthermic. Her blood pressure is 170/90 with a pulse of 110/min. Her neurological examination shows deep coma with eyelids closed, 2.0 mm and unreactive pupils. There are no Doll's eyes or response to cold-water calorics. There are no corneal reflexes. She does not grimace to noxious stimuli or cough to deep endotracheal stimulation. She has a flaccid arefexic quadriplegia without posturing. She does not breathe above the set ventilator rate of 16/minute. Which of the following statements is most true?

What was your overall rating of the faculty Ravi Menon, MD?

The learning objectives designated for this activity can help me strive to explain the results of recent large clinical trials in the treatment of acute cerebrovascular disease.

The learning objectives designated for this activity can help me strive to describe the role of newly approved therapies in stroke patients.

A 50 kg 65 year old male presents within 2 hours of symptom onset with right hemiplegia and aphasia. He meets all inclusion criteria for intravenous tpa treatment. What is the appropriate does of tpa?

What was your overall rating of the faculty Brendan Conroy, MD?

The learning objectives designated for this activity can help me strive to discuss the use of innovative devices for gait rehabilitation in stroke patients.

For a 65 year old Right handed African American man with history of HTN, DM, HLD with moderate (3/5) weakness of Right arm and leg, a moderate degree of expressive aphasia, but good Right sensitivity, which of the following body weight supported devices could be used for practicing upright standing and walking?

What was your overall rating of the faculty Diane Nichols, PT?

The learning objectives designated for this activity can help me strive to discuss the use of innovative devices for gait rehabilitation in stroke patients.

What was your overall rating of the faculty R. Scott Turner, MD, PhD?

The learning objectives designated for this activity can help me strive to describe the new advances in the development of therapies for the treatment of Alzheimer's dementia.

A 75 year old woman presents to clinic with her daughter. The patient states she is fine but the daughter notes that her mother has a 1-2 year history of gradual memory loss - forgetting conversations, repeating questions, etc. After a thorough history and examination, the following diagnostic tests should be required:

Overall, was this activity satisfactorily free from commercial bias?

Overall, was this activity satisfactorily free from commercial bias? Good attempts at ensuring fair balance Wonderful program, excellent speakers (highly informative)

Will the information presented cause you to make any changes in your practice?

Will the information presented cause you to make any changes in your practice? Especially in patients presenting with MS, dystonia Consider oral meds for MS (in certain MS patients) This program is only partially relevant to my practice. However, the learning and current progress in the subjects are of great value I wasn t aware that pupils needed to be 4-7mm for brain death. I also wasn t aware that some things can masquerade as brain death. Greater awareness of gait rehab Helps me confirm that my current practices are sound. Interesting to learn what is coming in near future. Research forum does not really have a place in this type of conference can get this at AAN or ANA. Would prefer study with therapeutic updates the focus of this meeting. Better awareness of toxins
