1 Trident Technical College Film Production Training/Leasing Program 1 Trident Technical College in Charleston, South Carolina, is a rare find for production companies and film students. One of only a few colleges in the country training students on 35-mm film equipment, TTC brings film experts and apprentices together for the benefit of both. The College leases its extensive film equipment to filmmakers at a discount, provided they use Film Production students on their productions. The College owns a million dollars worth of equipment, including four 35-mm cameras, a 1,000-AMP generator and an extensive light and grip package. The training/leasing program is well suited for small and independent feature films, as well as commercial work. The unique program benefits both the College and production companies. When companies lease TTC s equipment and use the College s skilled apprentices, they save 60 percent of the lease cost. Budget-minded production companies get great equipment at a great price, plus the added bonus of film students to help with their productions.
