LEARNER SUCCESS SERVICES provides services to support your academic and personal success. We offer outreach through student events like orientation, welcome week, service expos, workshops, and classroom presentations. Career Services provides career advising and job search skill development to help you choose the right program and find a job when you graduate. Our Counsellors can help you with career, academic and life counselling and support for a personal, school or emotional crisis. Learners with Disabilities: Learners requiring academic accommodations must contact the Counselling and Specialized Support unit of Learner Success Services at least four months prior to the commencement of their scheduled classes at Bow Valley College to establish an academic accommodation plan. Reasonable effort will be made to provide suitable academic accommodation; however, there is no guarantee that services will be available and it is possible that in order to provide required accommodation, we may have to defer start dates. While BVC will attempt to facilitate all learner requests for accommodation, please be advised that there is a current shortage of sign language interpreters. The Financial Aid Office provides you with financial aid tools and services, including grants, loans, and bursaries. Bow Valley College offers over half a million dollars per year in Scholarships, Awards, and Bursaries. 12 SCHOOL OF BUSINESS 10 CAREERS IN ADMINISTRATION DENTAL BUSINESS ASSISTANT CERTIFICATE This accelerated full-time program (24 weeks) is scheduled over two semesters and prepares you to manage the office workflow in a dental practice.
