2 THE annual meeting THE annual European meeting for the international professional civil drone community According to all official bodies and global economic analysts, the turnover of the global drone* industry will reach billions of euros and generate a very significant quantity of new jobs in the coming years. Civilian drones will no doubt overtake military drones. The global regulatory organizations, such as the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the European Commission (EC), the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), Joint Authorities for Rulemaking on Unmanned Systems (JARUS), and national civil aviation authorities, no longer question the obvious exponential growth of the sector, but are actively supporting its development through the urgent establishment of new, progressive and risk-based regulations to allow the incremental integration of all types of RPAS into various classes of airspace. In addition, more and more manufacturers are partnering with suppliers, research institutes, and purchasers to develop increasingly diverse products to offer new services to more customers. Other essential partners in traditional manufacturing are developing new customized solutions adapted to these new activities in the legal, financial, insurance, and communications areas. EuropaDrone aims to organize a yearly exhibition for all actors of the global RPAS industry, a place to promote the drone community and to facilitate meetings and discussions between its members. EuropaDrone will host supervisory and regulatory agencies, drone manufacturers, system integrators and distributors & resellers, purchasers, professional organizations, national and international federations, and all associated services specifically related to the development of this new sector: media, research centers, analysts, investment & insurance experts, etc. EuropaDrone will enable international visitors and exhibitors to understand the major challenges facing the sector; to build new technological, technical, and financial partnerships; and to benefit from new business opportunities in a global market. EuropaDrone is co-organized by: GL-Events - One of the world s leading event companies yearly organising over 600 major events around the world and across all economic sectors; Blyenburgh & Co - Organizer or co-organiser, since 1999, of drone-related events in Belgium, Brazil, China, France, India, The Netherlands, Peru, Russia, Spain, and Sweden - Editor of the international reference publication RPAS: The Global Perspective Contractually responsible for the day-to-day management of UVS International.
