General Agriculture Loma Linda University 1974 Dr. Bullock holds a PhD rank of full professor in Plant and Soil Science (Extension Agriculture and Natural Resources) In 1991, Fitzroy Bullock (Roy) joined the University of Tennessee as an Associate Professor after spending nine and one-half years at The University of Georgia as a weed scientist.crops covered in Tennessee on small and large commercial farms were Vegetables, Fruits, Soybean, Nurseries, Turf and Ornamentals, Roadsides, Non-crop lands, Pastures, and limited work on Corn and Cotton. In 2000 by a mutual joint agreement between Tennessee State University and The University of Tennessee he was assigned the responsibilities to lead and coordinate the development of a proactive small farms educational program for both Tennessee State University and The University of Tennessee. This new assignment allowed a 60/40 percent split between Tennessee State University and The University of Tennessee respectively. Educational responsibilities were statewide for vegetable, fruits, soybean, corn, peanuts, non-crop, tobacco, forestry, nurseries, and forages. He also worked closely with Fort Valley State College on various educational programs and Demonstrations. Clientele ranged from the small backya rd farmers with one acre to the large commercial farmers with 500 plus acres. While at the University of Georgia, he worked closely with various local, state, federal and private industries. Apart from educational responsibilities he held various leadership roles; some of which are: L eader shi p Roles Univer sity of Geor gia 1) Chairman - University of Georgia Pest Control Recommendation Committee: This committee reviewed and updated yearly pest control recommendations. It worked closely with State, Federal and Private Industries in the approval of new and updated recommendation 2) Chairman - Georgia Forestry Committee This committee approved and updated forestry recommendations and provi ded training for forestry-related professionals and clientele. 3) Chairman - Georgia Vegetable Committee

4 4) This committee made recommendations on production practices and provi ded 5) training and educational material to producers. 6) Chairman - Georgia Farm Chemicals Workshop This committee conducted training for members of the Agricultural Chemical Industry. 5) Board member - Georgia Weed Control Society 6) M ember - University of Georgia Grievance Committee IV.
