1 Kamen Stoyanov / bio KAMEN STOYANOV Born 1977 in Rousse, Bulgaria. Lives and works in Vienna and Rousse. Kamen Stoyanov focuses on two major aspects throughout his artistic work: First the criticism of hegemonic notions of culture and secondly the question of how these notions are manifested in architectural, urban, and medial representations. Stoyanov s attention is therefore geared towards motives that destabilize associations and concepts of coherent cultural orders. These orders have to be either invalidated or the meaning of them has to be changed in the course of historical displacement. Kamen Stoyanov also deals with the question of unauthorised utilisation of public space as well as the adherent reconstruction of these spaces. He is particularly interested in the problems of migration, as well as in the contemporary forms of nomadism.
