3 Video Recorded Depositions: Depositions are usually conducted during the discovery phase of a law suite. The purpose of a deposition is for the attorneys to gain as much information for their clients as possible prior to going to trial. With the deposition transcript, a video recording can be useful in demonstrating the demeanor of your witness, as well as his words. Was he confident and convincing or did he look to his Counsel for guidance in answering questions. Did he answer quickly and without hesitation, or did he take long pauses to think, carefully formulating his responses. These important factors will not be reflected in the written word alone.
