3 Introduction The MF Global emidas platform provides clients with a secure, online connection to view and manage their trading account information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Through a web browser, users are able to view or download account information such as daily or monthly statements, equity runs, open positions, cash information and purchases and sales. Flexibility is a key feature of the system with the ability to query the database to create user-specific customized reports. Key Features emidas provides clients access to post-execution trading activity information in many formats: Snapshots: Users can view and print their account information and the latest trading activity. Information is updated intra-day. Reports: User-specific customized reports including all previous day trade activity and historical statement information can be created and downloaded to a spreadsheet, database or other program. Queries: Owners and managers of multiple accounts can use the program s powerful inquiry function to sort data by field for completely customized viewing or real-time trade matching. Announcements: emidas is also a source for the latest announcements from MF Global. Tools: emidas sessions are customizable according to a user s preferences and needs. Reports Reports available to view and download include: Daily or monthly statements Equity runs Open positions summary showing dates of each individual trade Cash information Purchase and sales summary 2

4 What is emidas? emidas is a web-based application that provides online information about a customer account 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from any computer with access to the Internet. emidas features include reports on all previous day trade activity, queries which organize account data into customized reports, snapshots allowing quick and easy access to top day account information and tools to customize a user s emidas session. 5 Welcome Letter A welcome letter is sent via to the customer after permission is given to view an account and the user is set up by Client Services. (Note: To request emidas please cs@mfglobal.com.) The welcome includes a user ID, temporary password and a link to the emidas login page. User ID and temporary password are included in the welcome letter Link to emidas login page is included for quick access 4

6 Login Page - Enter user ID and password provided in the welcome letter Users are prompted to change the temporary password at the first log in and then every 90 days after that 5

7 Reports The emidas Reports function allows access to reports that are produced by MF Global with the ability to either view them online or download them in text or PDF file formats. Daily statements are available for the life of the account. Monthly statements are available for the life of active accounts (note: monthly statements are only available for inactive accounts quarterly). Equity runs and all other daily account reports are available for 180 business days. The calendar allows access to historical reports by selecting specific dates. There are both a daily reports selection calendar and a monthly statement selection calendar (see screen shots below.) View reports or download reports as text or PDF files Available accounts are listed; be sure to check the appropriate box and click Process to view a specific report 6

8 Reports (c0ntinued) Statements are only available for accounts that were active the previous day Equity runs are available every business day for all funded accounts Monthly statements are available for accounts that were active that month or quarterly for inactive accounts. If the account is not funded, no monthly statement is available. 7

9 Reports (continued) Statements - Daily account statements that include confirmations from previous day trades, open positions, purchase and sale, and account balances. Equity Run - Reports profit and loss for the day s trading activity. Includes all active and inactive accounts. Monthly Statement - Summarizes trading activity for the entire month. Includes P&L totals for the month and year to date. Delivery Positions - Lists all open positions with a delivery month that corresponds to the current month. Expiring Options - Lists all open position options nearing expiration. Daily Margin Call - Includes initial margin requirement, total equity, and outstanding call. AM Checkout - Confirms the previous day s trades by account, including price. Sales Recap Totals - Recaps totals by account in fees. T-Bill Report - Lists all accounts that include T-Bills. Last Trading Day - Displays the last trade date by commodity for options and futures Statements - Provides previous year 1099 statements for tax purposes. 8

11 Query The emidas query function provides enhanced reporting capability that allows the user to select the appropriate data set (i.e., balances, trades, cash) in order to create customized reports for historical or top day activity. The design process is both user friendly and flexible providing a series of tab controls that allow the user to specify exactly what accounts and fields should be included in the query. The user has the option to add data filters, choose a sort filter and save the custom query (shown on the next page). Below is an example of the balances query after it has been customized and run. 13 Queries Available The table below provides a brief summary of the emidas queries available: Balances Trades - Top Day Trades Cash - Top Day Cash Adjustments - Top Day Adjustments Purchase and Sales Trade 30 Net Positions Information related to monies in account including open trade equity and account balance Top day trade information Previous day trade information Top day cash postings Previous day cash postings Top day adjustments made in the account to any open positions Previous day adjustments made in the account to any open positions Detail of bought and sold trades and the resulting profit or loss from each closed out transaction as of the selected processing date Trades made in the account during the selected month Top day and prior day open positions netted by product - a fixed format query which only requires account selection Note: To gain access to any queries not available on your emidas session, please cs@mfglobal.com. 12

14 Snapshots The emidas snapshots function provides an onscreen view of the user s trading account status utilizing data from the previous business day s activity, as well as top day information. Enter last five digits of account number The following table provides a brief summary of the emidas snapshots available: Customer Inquiry Account Inquiry Net Positions Detail Position Trade Prelim Cash Prelim Adjustment Prelim Prelim Basic account information, name, address, related accounts, phone number, etc. Basic balance information including beginning balance, open trade equity, total equity, liquidated value, margin excess, etc. Summary of all top day and prior day open positions netted by product and sorted by exchange and product List of positions by account number which includes trade date and market value (note: last reported market price will appear if cursor is placed on trade price) Current top day positions by account and contract Current top day cash entries into selected account Top day adjustments made to any open positions Top day trades in the account Note: To gain access to any snapshots not available on your emidas session, please cs@mfglobal.com. 13

15 Tools This section allows the user to customize their emidas session View Accounts - Displays a list of all accounts that the user has been authorized to access. This list includes account number and name. Business Unit - Allows the user to organize accounts into groups for better management. Preferences - Provides the ability to change the menu level options for emidas session (i.e., choose the number of accounts that are shown per page). Change Password - Allows the user to reset password. Note: To gain access to any tools not available on your emidas session, please cs@mfglobal.com. 14
