Beginning Monday, August 17, we officially welcome the Old National Bank customers of Southern Illinois to First Mid. As we work toward a smooth transition of operations, we wanted to let you know what to expect. On the pages that follow you will find information about how our system conversion may impact your accounts and how you do business with the bank. Please carefully review this information, along with the accompanying Understanding Your Deposit Account disclosure which includes terms, conditions and fees. If you have additional questions, simply stop in any First Mid banking center, call our Customer Solutions Center at or visit us online at All of us at First Mid, including the same banking professionals you ve come to know and trust at your local banking center, look forward to serving your banking needs. Conversion Schedule We understand that making a transition to a new bank can seem daunting, so we ve created the conversion snapshot below to make the process smoother. More details are contained throughout this packet of information. Now through Friday, August 14: Continue banking as you usually do. Friday, August 14: ATM service could be periodically interrupted beginning at 8:00 a.m. Old National Bank centers and drive-thrus in Mt. Carmel and Lawrenceville will close at 3:00 p.m., while other locations will close at 4:00 p.m. and will remain closed for the weekend. Access to your account through Old National Bank s Online Banking and Telephone Banking will no longer be available after 5:00 p.m. You may start using your new First Mid debit card for purchases after 5:00 p.m. (see page 7 for instructions). Monday, August 17: Old National banking centers will reopen as First Mid. You may sign into First Mid s Online Banking at (see page 8 for instructions). 3 Frequently Asked Questions General Information When will the Old National Bank branches become First Mid-Illinois Bank & Trust? The scheduled date is close of business August 14, To accommodate the change in ownership, special hours will go into effect on Friday, August 14. Lawrenceville and Mt. Carmel locations will close at 3:00 p.m. All other locations will close at 4:00 p.m. and will remain closed until Monday, August 17, at which time they will reopen as First Mid-Illinois Bank & Trust. New signs indicating the change in ownership are scheduled to be installed beginning on Friday, August 14. Who is First Mid-Illinois Bank & Trust? Can I use First Mid banking centers in other locations to cash checks, make deposits and loan payments? YES. You will be able to transact business at any First Mid location beginning Monday, August 17. There is a list of all banking center locations on pages 24 and 25. Will the bank s routing number change? Yes. It s important to note that the routing number (the nine digit number that identifies a financial institution) will change. First Mid s routing number is: How can I get account information after hours? First Mid offers access to your account information 24 hours a day, seven days a week through Online Banking and Telephone Banking. Online Banking is available at or through our Mobile Banking app. Telephone Banking is available toll-free at You may also use an ATM to obtain balance information. Where can I go for more information? You can talk to the employees at your banking center or visit us on the web at for more information. You may also contact any existing First Mid banking center or call our Customer Solutions Center at We want to make this transition as easy as possible and will gladly answer any questions you may have. Will my account be covered by FDIC insurance? Coverage by the FDIC will remain in effect for your funds on deposit as per current Federal guidelines. Presently each depositor is insured to at least $250,000, an amount that may be higher based on multiple account ownership categories. You can determine your FDIC coverage by using the FDIC s helpful online tool: Will any of my account numbers change? Most checking and savings account numbers will remain the same but some will change. You will receive a separate personal notification with your new account number if it will change. All loan numbers will change. CD and IRA account numbers may also change. We will retain a portion of your existing account number for easy reference. I have previously received year-end tax forms on my deposit or loan account from Old National Bank. Who will I get them from for 2015? You will receive tax forms from Old National Bank for activity that occurred from January 1, 2015 through August 14, 2015 and from First Mid for activity that occurs from August 15, 2015 through December 31, 2015 if the amount exceeds the minimum reportable required by the IRS. Will my bank maintain a personal touch? Absolutely! When you walk into your First Mid banking center you will see many of the same familiar faces who have always greeted you. First Mid is dedicated to supporting the development and activities of each community while providing you with the personal attention you deserve. Will bank hours remain the same? When your banking center opens as First Mid on Monday, August 17, most banking hours will remain the same. A listing of the banking center hours may be found on page 12 of this Welcome Packet. Will there be any changes in bank services? First Mid offers many of the same products and services offered by Old National Bank, with a few minor exceptions. First Mid offers traditional deposit and lending services along with a full line of Wealth Management services, Agricultural services, and Insurance. Your checking and savings accounts will be converted to comparable First Mid products. These may be found on pages To view other products offered by First Mid, visit our website at 2 3

4 Frequently Asked Questions - continued Deposit Accounts Can I still use my present supply of checks? Continue to use your Old National Bank checks through 5:00 p.m. August 14, When the change from Old National Bank to First Mid is officially completed at close of business on August 14, 2015, you should stop using your current supply of Old National Bank checks. Old National Bank checks will be honored until November 12, 2015; after that date, Old National Bank checks will be returned account closed. Soon, you will be receiving a complimentary set of 25 First Mid checks and deposit tickets in the mail for personal checking accounts, personal and non-personal money market accounts as well as home equity lines of credit that can be accessed by check. These checks will contain important new processing information and are for your use beginning after 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 14, 2015, but should not be used before then. It is important that you begin using your new checks and deposit slips to ensure timely and accurate posting of account information. After August 14, 2015, all of your Old National Bank checks and deposit slips should be destroyed. If you currently order checks from a vendor other than First Mid s vendor, Harland Clarke, you will need to provide them with your new account number and First Mid s routing number, which is Your local banking center can assist you with this. Business customers will receive a separate mailing regarding check orders as well as other supplies. If you order through Harland Clarke, you will receive a discount on your first order. Business Accounts that DO NOT use Harland Clarke will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Please contact your local Branch Manager. We will supply the logo and layout information for your check printer. Will the interest rate I am earning on my Certificate of Deposit change? Your current interest rate is assured to maturity on your certificate of deposit account. The interest rate in effect for transaction accounts (NOW, Money Market, etc.) may change at any time. I have a Christmas Club or Vacation Club account. When will these be distributed? First Mid will convert these accounts into our Christmas Club and Summer Savings accounts. Distributions for Christmas Club accounts are around October 16, Distributions for Summer Savings accounts are around May 13, Both accounts at First Mid require the distribution be to another First Mid account such as your checking or savings account. If you currently receive a check, a First Mid representative will be contacting you to set up a transfer account prior to distribution. Will I continue to receive a statement with my deposit account? Yes. You will continue to receive a paper or electronic monthly statement; however, your statement may arrive on a different day of the month. If you previously had multiple accounts combined into one statement and you wish to continue, contact First Mid after August 14, 2015 to set this up again as combined statements are unable to be retained during the conversion process. Direct Deposit and Automatic Payments or Transfers What happens to my pre-authorized automatic deposits or withdrawals to my account? Any pre-authorized transactions will continue without interruption for a period of time. For 90 days following August 14, 2015, we will send a notification containing your new account information to the sending party for each transaction received by First Mid. After 90 days, any transactions that are sent to the Old National Bank routing number and/or account number will be rejected. We will monitor these transactions and contact you to take action if needed. I currently have an automatic transfer between my deposit accounts at Old National Bank. Will those continue? Yes. Any transfers you currently have set up between accounts at Old National Bank will continue automatically after conversion. Please review your statements and notify us immediately if a transfer does not occur. I currently have the ability to complete transfers to/from my accounts at another institution. Does First Mid offer this feature? First Mid does have the ability for you to set up external transfers to/from another financial institution; however, this will not occur automatically. You will need to visit your local First Mid banking center to complete the form to authorize this transaction. Will my stop payments remain in effect? Stop payments associated with funds coming out of your account (debit) will remain in effect; however, deposit (credit) stops that you have set up on your account will not convert. If a deposit posts to your account that you did not authorize or you wanted stopped, please contact your First Mid banking center and we will assist you in returning the item. Individual Retirement Account (IRA) Will First Mid become the custodian of my IRA? First Mid will become the new custodian of all IRA plans as of close of business August 14, These plans include Traditional, Roth, SEP, and Educational IRAs. Please contact Old National Bank if you do not want First Mid to become the custodian of your IRA. Tax Reporting Account holders will receive IRS forms (1099-R & 5498) from both Old National Bank and First Mid. Required Minimum Distributions If you are obligated to take a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) and do not take your RMD prior to August 14, 2015, please remember you must do so prior to December 31, You will not receive a reminder from either Old National Bank or First Mid. If you wish to set up an automatic distribution of your RMD, please visit any First Mid banking center. Savings account statements will be produced quarterly by First Mid. For checking and savings accounts, you will receive a final statement for transactions through August 14, 2015 from Old National Bank. With certificates of deposit, you will receive a year-end statement from First Mid for activity between August 15, 2015 and December 31, For your convenience, you may also choose to receive your statements electronically. In order to do so, first sign up for Online Banking at then enroll in estatements. 4 5

5 Frequently Asked Questions - continued Loan Accounts Will the terms of my loan change? All terms remain unchanged for loans until maturity. Please review this Important Notice Regarding Loan Payments: All loan payments must be accompanied by the account number or payment notice provided. Loan payments must be mailed to the address listed on your new notice (P.O. Box 499, Mattoon, IL 61938) or the banking center associated with your loan, or a payment can be made in person at any of our First Mid banking centers. Our hours of operation for receiving loan payments are generally 9:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m., Monday Friday, except bank holidays. All other payments received will be credited as of the next loan operations business day or as otherwise permitted by law. I currently pay my loan with a coupon book from Old National Bank. Will I get a new coupon book from First Mid? First Mid sends out monthly billing notices to all loan customers in lieu of coupon books. For your August 2015 payment, continue to use your existing coupon or notice from Old National Bank. Once you begin receiving notices from First Mid, please destroy your Old National Bank coupon book and make your future payments with the notice you receive from First Mid. Can I still use my present supply of checks for my Home Equity Line of Credit? Continue to use your Old National Bank checks until 5:00 p.m., Friday, August 14, When the conversion from Old National Bank to First Mid is officially completed at close of business on August 14, 2015, your current supply of checks will no longer be valid. Soon, you will be receiving a free set of checks in the mail for your home equity lines of credit. These checks will contain important new processing information and are for your use beginning after 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 14, 2015, but should not be used before then. After August 14, 2015, all of your Old National Bank checks should be destroyed. If you currently order checks from a vendor other than First Mid s vendor, Harland Clarke, you will need to provide them with your new account number and First Mid s routing number, which is Your local First Mid banking center can assist you with this. Will I receive a card to access my Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC)? Yes. If you currently access your HELOC with a card, you will receive a credit card from First Mid that is linked directly to your HELOC with the same limits as your Old National Bank card. You should receive your new card, new PIN and activation instructions at the beginning of August Please do not use this card prior to August 15, Automatic Loan Payments What happens to my pre-authorized automatic payments to my loan account? All payments drawn from First Mid deposit accounts (your former Old National Bank deposit account) will continue without interruption. Any pre-authorized payments from another institution will also continue without interruption for a period of time. For 90 days following August 14, 2015, we will send a notification containing your new account information to the sending party for each transaction received by First Mid. We will monitor these transactions and contact you to take action if needed. Overdraft Services Will my overdraft protection on my checking account remain in place? Overdraft Courtesy - If you have Overdraft Courtesy with Old National Bank, you will qualify for First Mid s Payment Privilege service. This is a discretionary overdraft service. At our discretion, we may pay transactions for items when you do not have sufficient available funds. A nonsufficient fund/overdraft fee of $29.95 per overdraft item will be assessed. Your authorization for the payment of everyday overdrafts for debit card purchases and ATM transactions will be retained during the conversion process. If you would like to change your authorization, please call our Customer Solutions Center at or complete an Overdraft Protection Form located on our website at the following link: If you would like a copy of our Discretionary Overdraft Service Policy, please contact the Customer Solutions Center at the phone number above. Ready Reserve (Overdraft Protection Loan) - If you have a Ready Reserve loan account with Old National Bank, your overdraft line of credit will transfer to First Mid as a Credit Check line with the same terms and limits as your Old National Bank Ready Reserve loan. Safe Deposit Boxes Do I have to do anything to transfer my Old National Bank safe deposit box to First Mid? You do not have to do anything to move your safe deposit box contract to First Mid. First Mid offers a variety of safe deposit box sizes and your box will automatically be converted to our system. Safe deposit box annual billing notices are mailed 60 days prior to the due date with a 25-day grace period. A late fee of 10% of the rent amount applies to payments made 25 days or more after their due date. Drilling the box and lost key fees are at actual cost. Safe deposit boxes are not FDIC insured. Electronic Services - Individual ATM / Debit Cards Will I receive a new debit card and/or ATM card? Yes. You should receive your new card and activation instructions at the beginning of August The PIN will arrive approximately two to three days after receipt of your card. A new PIN is being assigned which can be changed at any First Mid ATM or any First Mid banking center beginning August 17, Please do not attempt to use this card prior to 5:00 p.m., August 14, 2015 as transactions will be denied. At this time, you should stop using (and destroy) your Old National Bank debit card. You will no longer receive a separate ATM and debit card. The First Mid Debit Card serves as an ATM card and doubles as a debit card, allowing you to make purchases anywhere VISA is accepted. (Limit of one debit card per person per account.) Due to the conversion process taking place over the weekend, use of your new card or access to ATMs could be limited or periodically interrupted. Please plan ahead and consider carrying alternative forms of payment. 6 7

6 Frequently Asked Questions - continued Will I be able to use my Old National Bank debit card? Your current Old National Bank debit, ATM and/or Business debit card will remain active until 5 p.m., on Friday, August 14, After this date, please destroy your old card. Will I receive a new Home Equity Line of Credit debit card? We will be issuing new HELOC credit cards for customers who have existing Old National Bank HELOC debit cards. Activation procedures will be mailed with the card and the PIN will arrive approximately two to three days after receipt of your card. Will I get a new personalized Image/Identity Card? First Mid does not currently offer Image/Identity Cards. Will ATMs be available the weekend of August 14 through August 16? Beginning Friday, August 14, 2015 we anticipate that ATM access will be limited as we convert the current Old National Bank ATMs to First Mid ATMs. Signs will be posted on ATMs during this time. The First Mid Debit Card serves as an ATM card and doubles as a debit card, allowing you to make purchases anywhere VISA is accepted. You may also receive cash back on any PIN-based transaction at merchants that offer this service. Will my ATM/purchase limits change on my debit card? Most debit card limits will remain the same. If you have specific questions, concerning your limits, please contact your local First Mid banking center. Are there withdrawal limits on First Mid ATMs? For security purposes, the maximum amount that may typically be withdrawn from a First Mid ATM is $500. Will my automatic payments continue on my new debit card? You will need to contact your merchant or service provider to update your card number and expiration date once you activate your new card beginning August 15, Will I be able to continue to use Apple Pay? First Mid does not currently offer Apple Pay, but we are continuing to explore this service. Will I be able to continue to use Verified by VISA? First Mid does not offer Verified by VISA. Online Banking, ealerts & Bill Pay Will I have access to my account information online with First Mid? Yes. Online Banking services are available for your personal accounts through our website at You will be automatically enrolled in First Mid s Online Banking and in most cases will retain your Old National Bank username; however, it will be converted over as all lowercase. If your username does change, you will be notified by letter. First time password instructions were included in the mailed Welcome Packet. The system will prompt you to change your temporary password and set up your security questions and answers upon login. Telephone Banking and Mobile Banking will be available until 5:00 p.m., and scheduled transactions made prior to 5:00 p.m. will be processed as normal. Access to your transaction history for Old National Bank will not be available after 5:00 p.m. If you wish to print or archive any Old National Bank estatements, check copies, etc. you must do so before 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 14, It is important to make plans to sign into First Mid s Online Banking through our website at beginning on Monday, August 17, If you need assistance, please call us at or stop by your local First Mid banking center. Will my recurring or scheduled transfers need to be set up again in the First Mid Online Banking system? Yes. If you currently have scheduled or recurring transfers set up in your current Online Banking system, you will need to reschedule these on the new system after your first log in. Transfers will not be permitted over the conversion weekend, August 14, 2015 through August 16, Please make note of these now so that you may set this up after your initial log in. Will I be able to pay my bills online with First Mid? Yes. Online Bill Pay services are available. You will need to enroll in First Mid s Bill Pay services through our Online Banking at You can register for our Bill Pay services with your new First Mid account number beginning Monday, August 17, If you are currently utilizing Old National Bank s Bill Pay system, First Mid is working to convert your bill payments to our system. Access to Old National Bank s Bill Pay system will end at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 14, We strongly suggest you print out your Old National Bank Bill Pay history, payees and recurring payment information prior to August 14, You will be able to log into First Mid s Online Banking to access your Bill Pay beginning Monday, August 17, The first time you log in, you will need to accept the terms and conditions. All pending payments, payees, and bill history will be converted over, but we encourage you to verify all recurring or scheduled payments you have set up to ensure payments are processed properly. Approved ebills will be converted, but any with a pending status must be set up again on First Mid s system. What will happen to my estatements? If you are currently enrolled in estatements with Old National Bank, you will automatically be enrolled in estatements with First Mid. Please verify your address under the My Profile tab within your First Mid Online Banking account. If you currently receive paper statements and would like to enroll in estatements, please visit and enroll in First Mid Online Banking. Once enrolled in Online Banking, you may then enroll each of your accounts in estatements. You will need to log into Old National Bank s Online Banking prior to Friday, August 14, 2015 and print or save any previous statements. Your August 14 statement from Old National Bank will arrive in paper format. Can I receive or text alerts on my account? Yes. You will need to log into First Mid Online Banking and set up any text or alerts you wish to receive on your accounts. If I use Quicken or QuickBooks, will my Old National Bank transaction history be available after August 14, 2015? In order to retain your Old National Bank transaction history, you will need to download them from Old National Bank s Online Banking prior to August 14, After that date, you will only be able You may continue to access your Online Banking through by telephone to download your First Mid transactions to Quicken and QuickBooks. 7 10 Frequently Asked Questions - continued Mobile Banking Does First Mid offer Mobile Banking and Mobile Deposits? First Mid offers both Mobile Banking and Mobile Deposits. If you were enrolled in Mobile Banking with Old National Bank, you will need to re-enroll in First Mid s Mobile Banking beginning August 17, 2015 and download First Mid s app. For more information on how to set up Mobile Banking, read our Mobile Money FAQs found online at Telephone Banking Will I be able to access my accounts by telephone? Beginning August 17, call and follow the prompts. The first time you call, use the last 4 digits of your social security number as your PIN number. For more information on our Telephone Banking service visit Electronic Services - Business Will I receive a new business debit card that is tied to my deposit account? Yes. We will be issuing new business debit cards for customers who have existing Old National Bank business debits cards. The same activation procedures and timelines must be followed for business cards as outlined above for personal cards. Will business customers have access to account information online with First Mid? All business customers can have access to their account information online. Access will vary based on the platform you have been using with Old National Bank. You will receive a separate letter giving you specific instructions on how to access your account with First Mid. Will I be able to pay my Company s bills online with First Mid? If you are a business customer using Old National Bank s small business Bill Pay, you will be converted to First Mid s personal Bill Pay system. Please refer to the section above. What will happen to my Company s estatements? If you are currently enrolled in estatements with Old National Bank, you will automatically be enrolled with estatements with First Mid. Please verify your address under the My Profile tab within your First Mid Online Banking account. If you currently receive paper statements and would like to enroll in estatements, please Treasuryservices@firstmid.com or call You will need to log into Old National Bank s Online Banking prior to Friday, August 14, 2015 and print or save any previous statements. Your August 14 statement from Old National Bank will arrive in paper format. Will I receive text or alerts on my business account? You will need to log into Online Banking and set up any text or alerts you wish to receive on your accounts. What will happen to my Remote Deposit Services? After 5:00 p.m. on August 14, 2015, your existing Remote Deposit system will no longer be active. You will keep your existing hardware; however, in order to activate your system with First Mid, we will need to update your current system with the appropriate software. We will contact you directly to assist in the conversion process. What will happen to my other Cash Management services (Bank Connect Plus)? We recently contacted you regarding changes to your Cash Management products and services. If you were not contacted or have questions, please contact your local First Mid branch. Bank Connect Plus customers will be able to continue to log into their account in a view only basis until August 28, You will not be able to process any transactions on Bank Connect Plus. How do I send or receive wire transfers with First Mid? Beginning August 17, 2015, you will need to make sure any incoming wire transfers contain First Mid s routing number and your new account number. If your wire transfer does not have the appropriate routing number listed, your wire transfer will be returned. To initiate an outgoing wire transfer, contact your local First Mid banking center. Does First Mid offer services for collecting returned checks that I have deposited to my account? Yes. First Mid automatically enrolls all business accounts in DoubleCheck, our electronic check recovery service, at no additional cost to you. If you would like more information about this service, please call us at Credit Cards and Credit Card Processing Will my Old National Bank credit card convert to a First Mid credit card? Your credit card will remain with Old National Bank. If you would like information concerning a First Mid credit card, please visit your local First Mid banking center. Who do I contact if I have questions relating to my Old National Bank credit card? Should you have questions relating to your Old National Bank credit card, you will need to call one of the following toll-free numbers: Consumer Credit Cards: Business Credit Cards: First Mid also offers credit cards. Your merchant credit card processing services will remain with Old National Bank through their agreement with Elavon.
