1 BUSINESS MANAGEMENT ATAE101 Principles of Ataturk and History of Revolution-I This course deals with the reform movements in last period of Ottoman Empire and the reasons of their failure, and the effects of those movements in Atatürk times, examples of events, ideologies to save the country in Ottoman time and among those ideologies, the effect of Turkish movement in the independence war. MLOJE217 Logistics This course will give the students a thorough understanding of the main modes of transport in international trade and address the more common management issues related to them. The first part of the course is to analyze the four modes of transportation and their characteristics as well as the transportation documents required for each mode of transport. The first part of the course examines different types of packaging options, which materials, the use of pallets and containers, packing marks, modes of transport and packaging. The second part of the course aims to teach about the logistics process and the different concepts involved in logistics. It is also aimed here to examine the different logistical infrastructures and is to analyze the factors to be considered when selecting a logistics company. In the final part, transportation and insurance procedures are thought when dealing with import and export operations. CTET111 Advanced English I This course aims to build on students' acquired English skills. It mainly covers useful details and complex structures in English grammar. MHIRE118 Communication Having better communication skills not only help individuals to become a part of social life, they also help individuals to have better relationships in their work lives, too. Using right communication techniques has become a must to be successful in work live. This course aims to help students to understand how communication process work and realise that communication is something that can be improved through learning right techniques. Different communication styles verbal, nonverbal, written, formal, informal, corporate etc.- are covered during the course. MATHE101 Mathematics In this course, the importance of course content is explained to students.the topics that students need to know well for their own programs are explained in detail and their vocational applications are made. MDTE105 Microeconomics The aim of this course is to teach the students basic micro economics and market concepts, and to increase their skills to analyze different economic approaches. In this course, the scope of economics, supply and demand curves and the shifts and the basic concepts on these curves are explained. And also, the subjects on the elasticity of supply, supply, demand and elasticity applications, cost of production, and the structures of the markets will be studied.

2 MISLE115 Business This course aims to define business firms targets as well as stakeholders impacts on business firms. Within the scope of this course, the following topics will be dealt with in details: business and business management concepts, classification of business firms, economic environments, firms targets and responsibilities, choice of firm locations and types, establishment stages, management capacity and basic management functions. Additionally, this course intends to form the necessary basis for future courses. HUKE101 General Principles of Law In this lesson, students will learn the relationship between the rules of social order and difference of legal rules from other rules and the types of legal rules. After that, application of norms will be analysed and students will perceive the basic division of law and the areas of Public-Private Law. The distinction of legal activities and legal acts and debtorcreditor relationship will be examined. MDTE112 Financial Accounting The aim of this course is to teach students the importance of accounting information in business, accountinginformation system components, the most commonly used in accounting terms, theoperation of the accounting process and financial statements, accounting information infrastructure of the organization.topics to be covered, within the framework of a uniform chart of accounts records of daily transactions to the books of the documents, to ensure the accuracy ofrecords, accounting standards and procedures within the framework of a finalrecord, to regulate the balance sheet and income statement. TRKE101 Turkish Language I This course explores the prolific, orderly and rich ancient language that is Turkish. Students are expected to comprehend what they listen to and what they read in depth and with subtlety; and to express what they hear, see, think and understand in a planned, effective and rational manner both orally and in writing. Grammar topics are covered in such a manner that the meaning is well grasped thus making the student able to express himself/herself by virtue of observations and comparisons made on text passages. Students gain further information through presenting what they read. ATAE102 Principles of Ataturk and History of Revolution-II This stresses that the principles of Atatürk are based on the ideals to reach modern nations with Turkish historical and cultural values. The content of Atatürk s words Peace at home, peace in the world policy is explained. The relationship between Ataturk s reforms and the Turkish nation s values with their unique features are examined. MODE114 Business Mathematics The aim of this course is to equip learners with the necessary tools to resolve mathematical problems in business life through applied examples. The course topics include percentage calculations, purchasing-cost and salesprofit calculations, proportional divisions and calculations about firms, mixed-compounded and composition problems, interest and discount calculations. MODE110 Basic Statistics The aim of this course is to provide students with basic principles of statistics and help them make true decisions in their daily and professional life. The course covers such topics; data collection, data classification, average, mod, time series, possibility, sampling, theory testing, correlation and regression.

3 MISLE232 Organization Behavior This course deals with the complicated nature of work relations. Its purpose is to build better relationships by solving problems arising from the different human objectives. Accordingly in this course the historical development of organizational behavior as well as the character, values and attitudes of the individual in the organizations are elaborated. Emphasis is on understanding of practical implications of various theories of human behavior at work. Specific topics include organization culture, group behavior, leadership and, motivation theories. CTET115 Advanced English II This course aims to build on students' acquired English skills. It mainly covers useful details and complex structures in English grammar. MDTE114 Macroeconomics The aim of this course is to introduce the students to the basic concepts of macroeconomics with special emphasis on the results of certain economic policies. To this end, concepts like national income, growth, inflation, employment will be examined after which, options in monetary and fiscal policy will be discussed. MBTE105 Information and Communication Technology This course will enable the learner to learn about Information Technologies history. In addition to this, learner will get practical knowledge on computer systems and its main components and operating systems. It is aimed to enable learner to get acquinted with basics of Information Technologies. Besides, it wil enable learner to be an expert in computer use and data management. Within the frame of this course learner will learn to use word processor, worksheet and presentation software. TRKE102 Turkish Language-II This course covers world and Turkish languages; analysis of informative and storytelling texts; knowledge of written expression (the paragraph and its types, ways of improving critical thinking skills in writing assignments: definition, illustration, comparison, quotation, to profit by statistics), types of expressions (explanative, argumentative, narrative, descriptive) writing different types of essays; prepared and unprepared speech (discussion, debate, telling jokes, narrating events and experiences, etc.); Turkish grammar (syntax, semantics); usage of Turkish (elements of expression, language mistakes); knowledge of Turkish spelling and punctuation. MISLE234 Sales Management In this course, it is aimed the students to be informed about the concept of sales, importance of sales for businesses and marketing, new and emerging trends in sales, necessities to be effective and successful in sales profession, the process of personal selling, sales planning and the budget. MISLE235 Financial Management The aim of this course is to give students insights in the management methods of financial operations in corporations. Students will study how to use financial resources, and the methods of using the resources and to make decisions. They will also study techniques of pricing, investment budgeting, financial performance evaluation.

4 MDTE223 E-Business The development of the internet for purchasing, supply chain management and other business applications are examined in this course. It is first necessary to identify the essential differences between business and consumer purchasing (b2b and b2c). Experience with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) established the ground rules for e- business over the internet, which has led to the development of electronic marketplaces and industry networks. Electronic payment systems and use of the internet for recruitment, employee communication, logistics and international trade are also covered. MISLE237 Computerized Accounting The aim of this course, as well as corporate information, to provide practical education to develop students' skills in making. MISLE112 Human Resource Management This course approaches the theories and the applications of human resource (HR) management from a broad perspective. It provides an understanding of the functions of HR management including HR planning, personnel selection and recruitment, training and development, career management, performance evaluation and compensation management and by doing so it evaluates all these functions in the context of their relations to one another. At the same time, it offers a comparative approach to worldwide HR management policies and applications. MODE221 Business English I Collaboration with department instructors on materials enables students to learn and use colloquial English and the jargon in their subject area. Vocabulary is emphasized. Some tables, pictures, maps and models are used when necessary. Role play is frequently used in class to help students use the language in a real environment. Also, students are given assignments to write reports and present them in English. MISLE239 Management Information Systems At the present time, due to the new developments in information systems, the information becomes more and more valuable and important for firms. This course aims to focus in detail on the concept of information and information systems; information technologies, politics and information systems in management processes; the establishment of information systems as well as the recent developments on these topics. The objective of this course is to provide the students with the necessary knowledge and understanding of information systems from the perspective of management. MISLE241 Consumer Behavior Students consumers, consumer behavior and the factors affecting consumer behavior is aimed to have information about. Consumer behavior described in the size of the psychology and social psychology and culture of consumption of processed together with awareness of what will be imposed on individuals. It helps students develop their ability of marketing planning analytically and measure it with different tools. Students will understand the needs of corporations in marketing planning and learn to prepare a marketing planning. Also strategic marketing planning is studied. MDTE212 Customer Relations Management The aims of this course are to enable learners to familiarise themselves with the concepts of and strategies for developing customer relations and customer service, effectively finding and retaining customers, measuring customer relations, and organisational culture and change. MDTE102 International Trade This course aims at teaching the students the fundamentals of international trade including: the knowledge of the documents used in international trade, delivery and payment methods, basics of international economics and national trade policies. MISLE228 Management and Organization This course aims to provide an understanding of management and organization of business firms through management s planning, organization, orientation, coordination and control functions. Emphasis will be on basic management and organization techniques as well current approaches for successful business in the rapidly changing and complex business environment. The topics will be elaborated through case studies. MISLE236 Entrepreneurship This course introduces students to the entrepreneurial process from idea generation and teaches students the necessary skills needed to start their own business. The learning process includes understanding risk analysis. This course provides a detailed understanding of how a value generating entrepreneur can start his or her own business by organizing labor, capital, natural resources and technology through case studies and daily applications. MLOJE231 Supply Chain Management The aim of this lecture is to examine the main principles, concepts and practices of supply chain management. This unit covers four main themes. These are: what is a supply chain and supply chain planning, why it is important in any business, how the supply chain operates and the principles for supply chain improvement. Where appropriate, the global nature of the supply chain will be emphasized. Learners will examine the components of supply chains and how these vary within different logistics and transport organizations. They will learn how organizations manage and control their supply chain functions to gain both competitive and cost advantage. Learners will also investigate supply chain planning from both the strategic and operational standpoint. They will identify and cost activities within supply chain operations, referring to performance indicators, marketing, and response to customer needs and benchmarking. As there is always a need to improve supply chain performance, learners will investigate methods used to enhance systems, approaches to performance improvement and the role of technology in supply chain improvement.

6 MHIR219 Public Relations This course aims to help students develop a critical appreciation of the role of public relations in contemporary society and organizations. The course covers the history, principles and practice of public relations. It also examines the various contexts - social, cultural, intellectual and technological - in which practitioners must work, and relates them to the ethical standards of the individual, the profession and society. The course begins by examining the definition of public relations and how it has evolved. It then examines the major principles of PR practice and how they can be applied. It also examines the fields of practice in which PR practitioners work. Various case studies will be used to describe actual PR situations faced by a variety of individuals and organizations. MISLE242 International Business At the age of globalization, firms need to formulate company policies that take account of the fact that they manufacture, service, employ and market to or in different countries. This course examines the concept of international management and trade, organizational structures of multinational firms and their management functions as well as the new developments in the international markets. The objective of this course is to provide the students with the necessary knowledge of the whole process related to multinational firms. MBTE106Technology and Innovation Management This course is about the roles of innovation and technology in business organizations and economy within the frame of general concepts and techniques of strategic management. Innovation processes, R&D management, technology transfer, R&D alliances among firms, relationships between human capital and technology, analyses of competitive forces, measuring the demand for technology, strategic decisions and implementations are some matters evaluated in the course. Within the frame of recent developments and foresights, these matters are involved in Technology and Innovation Management course transferring practical and theoretical knowledge about strategic decisions in business management in terms of achieving long term targets and its implementations. MISLE213 Total Quality Management The aim of this course is to enable learners to understand the concept of quality and quality management and define it in the context of business and services operations. Learners will investigate the major quality schemes and evaluate these in terms of the benefits to the organisation and to the customers they serve.
