2 Linda Larson-Schlitz MS, LISW, LPC, Founder/CEO- Faucet of HOPE LLC and CEU Services and Business Collaborative Linda has been a licensed counselor/social worker for nearly 25 years and has been actively involved in developing creative solutions to systemic challenges in schools, employment, community services and treatment programs. She developed an education and training enterprise program for homeless veterans and others with mental health and substance abuse issues that generated nearly $400,000 in the first 2 years of its inception. Linda is the author of the book Ditzy Blonde Faucet-It s a God Thing on ADHD and All Season Front Row Ticket to the Fights on domestic violence. Linda is the recipient of the Red Cross Hometown Hero Award, the Athena Award and has letters of commendation from Governor Scott Walker, Secretary of Workforce Development Reggie Newson and Mayor James Tipple among others for her creative solutions and dedicated services to the homeless, unemployed and challenged residents of Wisconsin. Linda is committed to advocating for systemic changes for those with disabilities, the mentally and chemically dependent in our nation and will be providing monthly summits for professional development on these issues. Linda will challenge listeners with a new paradigm to consider that challenges our social norms. Viewing each individual as an irreplaceable asset to the world will require us to seek to find those assets in every human being and find ways to empower and support them in using those gifts, talents and experiences to generate income and become self sufficient doing what they love. This workshop will demonstrate how to create a Faucet of HOPE. Jason Breitenfeld AHS, ACJ, Human Services Professional, Victim Witness and Impact Panel Participant Jason was a United States Army Veteran and has Associate Degrees in both Human Services and Criminal Justice from North Central Technical College. He has worked as an intern at the Jobcenter in Wausau and Rhinelander and has been a supervisor at the Salvation Army Homeless Shelter in Wausau. Jason was transporting intoxicated customers from a bar in the safe ride home vehicle he operated when he was hit by a 4th time drunk driver and has had to adjust to his disabling condition. Jason got involved with the Faucet of HOPE Business Collaborative in May and has since become the Author of the forthcoming book The Dangers of Drunk Driving- The Jason Breitenfeld Story that is scheduled for release in 2016 through Xulon Press. Jason is a volunteer on the Victim Impact Panel through Northwoods Restorative Justice and is interested in more speaking opportunities to share his story and insight. Jason will be sharing his tragic story and how he is working through the loss and grief of what used to be. Jason will bring out the systemic problems that have challenged him and how he has used his experience to bring HOPE to others in a variety of ways. Jason will inspire listeners to use everything they have been through to find purpose and meaning and an income that can support a family.
