The following umobility operations can be performed using most hard keys: Confidential! DSM Telecom Inc. Page 9 of 38

10 Dialing If the device has a hard keypad, then it can be used to dial numbers from umobility. Answer/Call the Answer/Call hard key (green phone button) can be used to place and answer umobility calls. This is also referred to as the SEND button by some manufacturers. Cancel/Disconnect the Cancel/Disconnect hard key (red phone button) can be used to disconnect or to reject a call. Navigation to navigate menus, use the up, down, left and right hard keys, to select menu use center hard key. 12 Working with Networks umobility lets you communicate over Wi-Fi and cellular networks. With umobility, you are free to move anywhere while you are talking on your cell phone. umobility automatically makes sure that the best network (Wi-Fi or cellular) is used to ensure that your call will continue uninterrupted, no matter where you are. When you use a Wi-Fi network inside a building, your voice quality will be better because typically the Wi-Fi signal is much stronger inside the building compared to an external cellular signal. Also, with Wi-Fi calls, you will not use any of your cell phone plan minutes because the cellular network is not used. umobility automatically tries to use a properly configured Wi-Fi network for communication. If the Wi-Fi network is unavailable, then the cellular network is automatically selected. Either way, umobility monitors both networks, displays the status of each, and it even lets you select the desired network manually, if desired. Being able to manually select a network lets you make a call using your office telephone number, or your cell phone number as desired. For example, if you are calling a family member, you may want to manually select the cellular network (even if you are in a strong Wi-Fi zone) so that they will see your cell phone number when they receive the call. Alternately, if you are calling a business contact, you will want to use your umobility number. umobility File->Network menu help you select and monitor Wi-Fi and cellular networks: NOTE: In the unlikely event that neither network is available, No Connection is displayed in the phone display area. See the following diagram: Confidential! DSM Telecom Inc. Page 12 of 38

13 Making Calls with Your umobility Number To make a call using your umobility number, select File->Network->Enterprise. " This action assumes that a) you have set-up a preferred Wi-Fi AP, b) you are in a Wi-Fi zone and c) umobility determines that the Wi-Fi quality is acceptable. The call is routed over the Wi-Fi network, through your office phone system or service provider (depending on the type of umobility service you have) to the dialed number. The called party will see your umobility number. As long as you are in a Wi-Fi zone with acceptable quality, no cell phone minutes are used by this type of call. " If the Wi-Fi network is presently unacceptable, or you are outside of Wi-Fi coverage, umobility still completes the call through your office phone system or service provider to the dialed number, but the call is routed over your cellular provider s network. Cell phone minutes are used in this case, but the called party will still see your umobility number. When the cellular network is used by umobility, you will notice the enterprise icon changes in color from blue to purple. " If the Wi-Fi network is not available or, there is inadequate signal strength, a cross mark on enterprise network is displayed. When a Wi-Fi network is selected, your user profile name is displayed along the top of the screen in blue. For example 'Bob' as in the screen shot below. This can be changed using the profile settings discussed earlier. Confidential! DSM Telecom Inc. Page 13 of 38

14 Using the Cellular Network Select the FIle->Network->Cell manually to select the cellular network. (If the cellular network is not available, or, there is inadequate service, a cross mark will appear on the cellular network indicator.) When the cell network is selected, all calls you make will display your native cellular number and you will be using your cell plan minutes. Also, when the cellular network is selected, your cellular provider is identified in blue across the top of the screen and your umobility user name is displayed in red below the provider name. For example: Confidential! DSM Telecom Inc. Page 14 of 38

31 Device Mobility Device Mobility is a umobility feature that lets you seamlessly move the active call from your smart phone to another phone, without interrupting your conversation. This powerful feature also lets you then retrieve the call back to your cell phone, if desired. To use the Device Mobility feature most efficiently, we suggest that you first create the Device List. The Device List simply contains a list of the telephone numbers that you are most likely to move calls to/from. Of course you can manually enter a number on the fly before you move a call, but this will disturb your conversation, so we suggest that you create the Device List before you actually use the Device Mobility feature. Creating the Device List The Device List can store up to 10 telephone numbers, each indexed from 0 to 9. To create the Device List: Click the Call!Move Call To!Edit Device List option to display the Device List. The Device List is updated with the new entry. 6. You can repeat steps 2 through 5, above, to add additional telephone numbers to the Device List. 7. You can edit or delete a Device List entry by simply using the Tools menu. 8. When you are finished creating the Device List, close the window by choosing back key. Confidential! DSM Telecom Inc.
