You can use Trns port s Filter to sort, compare, and match information to find all the records that meet certain criteria. Select the FILTER button from the Edit menu or by the short cut of CTRL+F.. You can also access the filter Click in the Column and Operator fields to display a list of values from which you can choose the information to be filtered. You must type in what you are searching for in the Value field. Column - The Column field contains the names of the most commonly used columns in the table from which the list window is built. When you click on the DOWN ARROW in the Column field, the list of columns to choose from will appear. Operator - The Operator field contains the operators equal to (=), greater than (>), less than (<), greater than or equal to (>=), less than or equal to (<=), not equal to (<>), Contains, and Does Not (contain) to narrow your filter. Value - The information you type in the Value field is the filter criterion you are using as a delimiter or are trying to match. The text is case sensitive in this field, so you must always use capitol letters if searching for text values. See examples below. Use the Advanced button to create complex filters that can be named and saved for reuse. Exhibit 10.5 Page 10
