B60-80Z HD SERIES Tougher than ever end riders. Introducing the completely redesigned Hyster B60Z HD and B80Z HD 6,000 lb. and 8,000 lb. end riders. These trucks have been engineered to take on the most demanding, heavy-duty applications in a multitude of operating conditions. To do so, we started with you, our customer, to understand your business, your challenges and your expectations. With our customers needs in mind, we started from the ground up to build an end rider that won t flinch at the industry s toughest challenges. After every detail was considered and meticulously designed it was time for the Hyster B60-80Z HD series end riders to hit the proving grounds. To find out just how tough these trucks are we put them to the test, and when we were done we asked our customers to do the same. In the end, the Hyster B60Z HD and B80Z HD met the challenges of some of our most demanding customers. Test after test, the results were clear; Hyster end riders consistently outperformed the competition. To prove what they are made of, we pushed these machines to the max, Survived Hours and the linkage survived 1,000+ hours without lubrication.* The complete linkage system lifted a total of 310,000,000 lbs. before requiring service of any kind and our bushing wear was more than 3 times better than that of the competition. We deliver durability, productivity, operator comfort and ease of maintenance that exceeds the industry s highest standards. Lifted a Total of 310,000,000 lbs. *As tough as they are, we still don't recommend you neglect scheduled maintenance, as we did in this test. Real World Application Results To be certain our heavy-duty end riders are some of the toughest in the industry, we spent more than 1,000 hours in an extreme cold storage application that s 83 working days with zero lubrication or service to prove it. And the results are in: 2 All trucks shown with optional equipment.
More Over More than 1,300 trailers emptied 50,000 pallets moved than 30,000 dock plates hits 100, ,000,000 lbs. of freight lifted and transported Over 3,000 miles traveled Zero lubrication or service plus lift/lowers 3
PRODUCTIVITY Performance The Hyster B60Z HD and B80Z HD 6,000 lb. and 8,000 lb. heavy-duty end riders are extraordinarily quick. Pace-setting, programmable acceleration and travel speeds allow more loads to be moved per hour. And a high-performance hydraulic system, coupled with the advanced pallet entry-exit system, produces outstanding cycle times. In addition to being quick, these trucks are exceptionally maneuverable. Their tight turning radius, short head length and control handle design allow them to easily enter and exit tight spaces quickly. Efficiency With our Extended Shift feature, your truck is not only working hard, it's working smart. When this feature is engaged, your truck is operating with maximum efficiency allowing it to run longer between battery changes. When the Extended Shift feature is disengaged your truck operates in high-performance mode for quicker acceleration and higher travel speeds. Our intelligent design provides improved torque, increased travel speeds and allows for smoother acceleration and directional changes. Features like programmable performance modes let operators tailor truck performance to the application or their skill level. 4 All trucks shown with optional equipment.
SERVICEABILITY Serviceability Even the toughest trucks need to be properly maintained so when it comes time to service our 6,000 lb. and 8,000 lb. heavy-duty end riders, we ve made certain it s easy to get the job done fast. The traction and hydraulic controls compartment requires no tools to open. And the translucent hydraulic reservoir allows technicians to check fluid levels at a glance. Your technicians will also appreciate our on-board diagnostic capability, which allows for quick troubleshooting. When parts or service help are required, your Authorized Hyster Lift Truck Dealer can provide genuine, tough as nails, Hyster parts - or service, from one of North America s most extensive full-line lift truck dealer networks, so you can feel confident your Hyster lift truck will be there when you need it. Optional power steering and control handle shown. Built for low maintenance and better uptime High efficiency AC traction motor requires no service. Electro-mechanical brake has no service requirements. Stationary traction motor design eliminates power cable flexing and the potential for loose power wire connections. Non-contact Hall-Effect throttle control eliminates wear components and requires no mechanical adjustments. Controller absorbs excess current during hydraulic motor activation to extend motor life. Lube fittings and serviceable bushings at all pivot points reduce wear and extend component life. CANbus communication system helps reduce wear by simplifying truck wiring fewer wires mean fewer potential failure points. 5
DURABILITY It took determination and laser focus to build a truck that can stand up to the challenges of your operation. When your heavy-duty application demands that a truck run 4,000 + hours a year you want to be absolutely certain you have the equipment that s up to the task. That s why we built the Hyster B60-80Z HD series end riders to be some of the toughest in the industry lowering your overall cost of ownership! A Quick adjust springless casters enhance frame stability and reduce maintenance time. A B B Lubrication and "x" groove bushings at all pivot points (not all points are visible from this view). C Reinforced undercarriage is protected against impacts. D Forks connection with the battery box reduces strain on the undercarriage and linkage. E Frame and forks connect for reduced twist and increased torsional stiffness. F Enhanced frame is beefed up for greater strength and steadier load handling. G H Oversized pull rods tie linkage together for smooth lifting and lowering. Fork tip is specifically designed for smooth pallet entry. 10 Galvanized END RIDER When the job gets messy, Hyster answers back with the Extreme Corrosion/ Wash Down package available on the B60Z HD and B80Z HD. The completely galvanized frame, lift linkage, battery well and fork weldment stand up to the most corrosive environments. The galvanization process makes these components rust and corrosion resistant. This not only makes the truck more FDA and EPA friendly, it also reduces the overall cost of maintenance and operation by eliminating the need for accelerated painting schedules. In addition, the controller is enclosed and sealed to protect it from water during the wash down process. The Hyster B60Z HD and B80Z HD work hard in the most corrosive conditions and always come out clean. The galvanized lift linkage provides extra protection for applications that require frequent wash downs or that expose the truck to potentially corrosive agents making it extremely durable. A completely galvanized and corrosion resistant frame protects your investment and eliminates periodic cleaning, scraping and repainting, resulting in even greater uptime. 10 All trucks shown with optional equipment.
DELIVERING TOTAL CUSTOMER SATISFACTION THROUGH OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE Hyster s unique relationship with our customers is a product of total customer satisfaction created through world class manufacturing. Our goal is to anticipate the needs of every customer and address them with lift trucks that deliver the performance, value, and dependability they demand. Customer-Driven Research & Development We begin with the customer. Hyster conducts annual focus groups and on-going voice of customer research in the field and online. Over 400 design engineers then translate that input into intelligent designs using a rigorous review gate process. Advanced tools such as virtual prototype builds and dynamic modeling, help shorten the product development cycle, giving customers a competitive edge. To ensure dependability and lowest cost of ownership, each design is subjected to environmental, physical and virtual tests. We not only test against our own standards but against the competition s products as well. The final tests take place in real world customer applications to ensure that our designs have met the mark. Demand-Flow Manufacturing That is Lean and Smart At Hyster, world class manufacturing is driven by Demand Flow Technology (DFT). Use of the DFT lean manufacturing principles guides every aspect of plant operation toward a single goal: Deliver flawless quality and total customer satisfaction, 100% of the time. Total Quality Every Time: Hyster quality starts with an integrated Manufacturing Execution System (MES) that manages production flow. The MES coordinates line activities like part sequencing and quality verification and uses quality gates such as torque tools to prevent less-than-perfect assemblies from proceeding down the line. Random audits during each shift hold each employee accountable for consistent quality while 5s workplace organization helps them achieve it. Flexibility through Materials Flow & Organization: Vertical integration helps give our customers the flexibility they need. At component manufacturing facilities each line uses a mixed model flow, enabling it to produce a variety of parts for any given lift truck at any given time. Materials flow is supported with a KANBAN materials stocking system integrated through the MES. Employees are Empowered: Hyster employees support DFT and total customer satisfaction in everything they do. Empowered to problem-solve, they help drive quality improvements, reduce cycle times, and improve safety every day. Each is cross-trained and certified in at least three operations. Organized into teams and empowered to problem-solve, they help drive quality improvements, reduce cycle times, and improve safety every day. Supporting Customers with World-Class Parts & Service Four Parts Distribution Centers strategically located around the world provide a full range of original equipment and aftermarket parts that maintain our customers uptime. In fact, our Guaranteed Availability Program ensures that parts for all lift trucks within two years of age are available within 24 hours, 100% of the time. We also take that commitment into the field with Hyster s CERTECH Certification training program, available to our dealers technicians. This technical training program provides both systems level as well as product specific education to ensure lift trucks are repaired right the first time. 11
