1 WORLD EXPEDITIONS TRAVEL INSURANCE ALL participants travelling on the Professional Cricketers Association Everest Basecamp Challenge must carry adequate personal travel insurance. World Expeditions offers a competitively priced policy that provides the required amount of cover. It is recommended that all clients take out this insurance. Participants NOT taking out the World Expeditions insurance must supply written proof that they are insured and that their policy provides adequate cover for this type of trek in Nepal. IT IS THE PARTICIPANTS FULL RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THAT THEY HAVE ADEQUATE COVER. Participants will NOT be permitted to travel unless adequate proof is produced. This must include:. Medical expenses & emergency repatriation to the UK. Mountainside evacuation by helicopter Any participant not taking the World Expeditions travel insurance policy will be required to give a signed written agreement that they accept full liability for any costs incurred by World Expeditions or any of their agents for medical and/or emergency services (including telephone calls/hotels etc) paid on the participants behalf. A copy of a policy is not sufficient. A summary of the cover provided by the World Expeditions Policy is outlined in the next section.

3 Summary of World Expeditions insurance cover The following is a summary of the cover provided. A full policy document will be sent on receipt of the correct premium. If any participant is not fully satisfied the policy can be returned within 7 days and a full refund will be given. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU READ YOUR POLICY CAREFULLY. World Expeditions Ltd is happy to recommend to you the following insurance that has been arranged for us by Global Travel Insurance Services Ltd. It is underwritten by Elvia Travel Insurance International NV. This insurance is available only to persons up to the age of 65 years. If you have any questions regarding this insurance you should contact Global Travel Insurance for advice and assistance on: Tel: Fax: The premium must be paid at the time of purchase and a full policy wording will be sent to you as confirmation. Full details are also available upon request. If you do not wish to be included in this insurance you must provide us with details of your alternative insurance. This insurance is only available to persons who are permanently resident and domiciled in the UK. The policy includes special cover beyond most other policies for cancellation due to Foreign Office travel restrictions affecting the itinerary, including special bespoke cover for Travel Disruption covering war risks and related situations (see policy). IMPORTANT NOTICE: Under the ABI Code of Practice, we are required to draw to your attention certain important features of your policy as follows. Please note that this policy will ONLY offer cover in respect of travel and other arrangements specifically booked through World Expeditions Ltd. POLICY DOCUMENT: You should read the document carefully. It gives you full details of what is and what is not covered and the conditions of the cover. Cover will vary from policy to policy and Insurer to Insurer. CONDITIONS, EXCLUSIONS & WARRANTIES: Conditions and exclusions will apply to individual sections of your policy whilst general exclusions, conditions & warranties will apply to the whole of your policy. HEALTH: Your policy may contain restrictions regarding pre-existing medical problems concerning the health of the people travelling and of the people upon whose health the trip will depend. You are advised to read our policy carefully. MAXIMUM AGE: This policy is valid for people up to 65 years old. DANGEROUS SPORTS OR PASTIMES: If you are going to take part in dangerous sports or pastimes where there is a high risk of injury, check that your policy covers you. PROPERTY CLAIMS: These claims are paid based on the value of the goods at the time you lose or damage them and not on a new for old or replacement cost basis.

4 POLICY LIMITS: Most sections of your policy have limits on the amount the insurer will pay under that section. Some sections also include other specific limits, for example: for any one item or for valuables in total. You are advised to check your policy if you intend taking expensive items with you. POLICY EXCESSES: Under most sections of the policy claims will be subject to an excess. This means that you will be responsible for paying the first part of the claim. The amount you have to pay is the excess. REASONABLE CARE: You need to take all reasonable care to protect yourself and your property. COMPLAINTS: Your insurance policy will have in it a complaints procedure which tells you what steps you can take if you wish to make a complaint. "COOLING OFF" PERIOD: Your policy contains a cooling off period during which you can return the policy and get a refund, if you have justifiable reason for being dissatisfied with the cover that it provides. Your policy is governed by the law in the country that you reside in within the United Kingdom, unless otherwise stated on your policy. The identity of the insurer or insurers will be shown on the policy document. Medical Expenses & Repatriation 3,000,000 Hospital Benefit 300 Baggage, Money & Valuables 2,000 Personal Liability 2,000,000 Personal Accident 15,000 Loss of Passport 200 Travel Delay Up to the final invoice cost Missed Departure 500 Travel Disruption 500 Legal Expenses 25,000 POLICY EXCESSES: An excess of 50 applies to each and every claim from each insured person in respect of claims for Medical Expenses & Repatriation, Baggage, Money & Valuables. An excess of 10% applies to each and every claim from each insured person in respect of claims for cancellation and curtailment, subject to a minimum of 100. Increased Excess for Pre Existing Medical Conditions There is no need to advise us of your pre existing health conditions. Provision for the acceptance of all pre existing health conditions has been made by the application of increased excesses in the event of claims arising. For claims arising from any pre existing condition the excess is further increased as follows: Under the Cancellation section -double the normal excess. Under the Medical, Repatriation Expenses & Curtailment section -the excess is increased to 250

5 EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE: There is a 24 hour emergency assistance service included in the policy so that any insured person may seek assistance in medical emergencies whilst on holiday. Full details are contained in the policy document. MAIN EXCLUSIONS: Insurers will not be liable for claims where at the time of taking out the insurance the person whose condition gives rise to a claim 1 is aware of any medical condition or circumstances which could reasonably be expected to give rise to a claim, or 2 has during the last 12 months suffered from any chronic or recurring illness of a serious nature which has required treatment unless disclosed to Global Travel Insurance and agreed, or 3 is suffering from a previously diagnosed psychiatric disorder, receiving or on a waiting list for hospital or nursing treatment, is expected to give birth before or within 2 months of the return trip, or 4 is travelling against the advice of a medical practitioner or for the purpose of obtaining medical treatment abroad, or 5 has been advised of a terminal prognosis.
