2 Session Objectives: Discuss how investing in bridge programs can support student success and help colleges generate returns on their investment in terms of enrollment, completion rates and revenue. Access the companion worksheet to calculate your own college s potential return on investment for bridge programs. Learn about additional resources that can help you make the case to invest in bridge programs as a strategy for success.

4 College enrollment declined nationwide for seven consecutive semesters through Spring Illinois colleges have likewise experienced falling enrollment numbers. Spring2015.pdf

The calculations below are based on students earning six incremental credits in the first semester of college credit and 30 hours to complete. The average number of college credits necessary to complete post-secondary are: 15 credit hours for a Basic Certificate 30 credit hours for an Advanced Certificate 60 credit hours for an Associate Degree
