Dimond has a range of different paint coatings and materials to suit the broad spectrum of conditions found in New Zealand. AVAILABLE IN: SUSTAINABILITY Dimond and the wider Fletcher Building Group are striving to reduce the impact we have on the environment. Sustainability is an important issue and we are currently working on a plan for the future to ultimately reduce Dimond s footprint on the environment. We already have several sustainable aspects to our business including: The steel we use to make our products is fully recyclable. We source the vast majority of our raw materials locally, reducing any pollution from importing and transporting overseas goods. Dimond are focused on lean manufacturing processes to eliminate waste created from our operations and all scrap steel is sent to recyclers. WARRANTIES Dimond Roof and Wall Cladding Products will carry a minimum 15 year warranty. Colorflo Rainwater Products will carry a five year warranty. The warranty will cover the paint surface against flaking, peeling and excessive fade and against perforation as a result of corrosion, but only when the correct material for the environment has been used. To avoid issues, we suggest you use the Warranty Inquiry process to confirm the site-specific warranty that will be achieved once the roofing/cladding/rainwater goods are fixed in place. 7 TAKING CARE OF YOUR ROOF, CLADDING AND GUTTERING Maintenance is a key to the longevity of any roof, cladding, guttering or fascia as these are parts of your home that are probably subject to more weathering than any other area. TOP TIPS Clean areas not washed by rainfall 3-4 times a year to remove dirt and salt build-up*. Clean with fresh water and a soft nylon brush. At first sign of corrosion, clean down, spot prime and repaint to paint manufacturer s recommendations. Inspect and replace deteriorated fasteners to avoid leakage risk. Surface fading may occur over time repainting may be carried out to retain aesthetic value. Get your roof looked at every 5 years or so by a roofing expert to ensure it s still structurally sound and hasn t suffered any damage. Avoid climbing on your roof yourself but if necessary always wear appropriate safety harnesses and soft-soled, non-skid shoes. Metal roofing can be easily damaged when walked on, so place your feet carefully and softly. On longrun roofs, stand only along the fixing line. Gutters should slope evenly towards the downpipe or outlet to avoid any ponding. Clean out the gutters and downpipes of your roof regularly as these are areas that can easily become clogged with debris. LONGRUN ROOF * In marine environments a more rigorous and regular cleaning regime may be necessary. Contact Dimond for more details. NOTE: It is a condition of the material and product warranty issued by Dimond for Dimond products that the above maintenance procedures are carried out. Maintenance is essential to prolong the good looks of the product and ensure that it performs as well as you would expect it should. GARAGE DOORS/SHEDS Various forms of metal roofing profiles have been extensively used for cladding garage doors creating an eye-catching point of difference at the entrance to your home. FENCING Longrun roofing is perfect for use as a fencing product, and it looks particularly striking used in conjunction with other materials such as timber and concrete. 10 The Affinity Cladding System is appraised for use with Dimond Corrugate (pictured) as well as Pacific and Sahara wall cladding (these two wall cladding profiles are unique to the NZ market). This system significantly reduces the amount of on-site cutting and measuring making installation much simpler and faster. Moreover it does not require any application of sealant to ensure a weather tight fit. Dimond has worked with the Building Research Association of New Zealand to rigorously test and appraise this system giving you the peace of mind that it works. Complete CAD details are available for the BRANZ appraised Affinity Cladding System including penetrations such as windows and meter boxes. The Affinity Cladding System by Dimond is the only BRANZ Appraised profiled metal cladding system in New Zealand and is faster and simpler to install than ever before.
