Instruments 2009/2010 Action Taken 2010/2011 Action Taken Action Taken Graduation Rates 12% of the freshman nursing graduated within 6 Years Faculty discussed how to increase the graduation rates. 68% of admitted into the nursing program in 2008 graduated within 2.5 years Early warning system instituted to help struggling progress through the program. 1 st Year Retention Rates ATI End-of-Course Exams Benchmark 100% of will pass ATI EOC by their second try 46% of the freshman nursing enrolled the second year 92% of the Fundamentals 85% of the Maternal/Newborn Faculty discussed the low retention and graduation rates in the May Curriculum Committee Meeting This percentage for Maternal/Newborn only reflects the number who on their first try. Students are scheduled for their second attempt in June. 53% of the freshman nursing enrolled the second year 90% of Fundamentals 94% of Maternal/ Newborn Faculty discussed the low retention and graduation rates in the Admission, Progression, Retention and Graduation committee Meeting 61 % of admitted into the nursing program in 2008 graduated within 2.5 years 76% of freshman nursing enrolled the second year 93% of Fundamentals 97% of Maternal/ Newborn Continue with early warning system instituted to help struggling to progress through the program. Student s that did not achieve a passing score took bridge course and by the third attempt. Students that did not achieve a passing score are scheduled for the bridge course in summer. 1
2 ATI End-of- Course Exams continued Benchmark will pass ATI EOC by their second try 98% of the Adult Nursing I 86% of the Child/Adolescents. Students who did not receive a passing score registered for the bridge course during the winter intersession. Most were successful after their third attempt. 98% of the Adult I Children/Adoles cents. Students that did not achieve a passing score participated in a bridge course and were able to pass on the third attempt the Adult Nursing I Child/Adole scents 57% o of the Adult Nursing II Students who did not receive a passing score registered for the bridge course during the winter intersession. Most were successful after their third attempt. the Adult Nursing II 93% of Students that did not achieve a passing score participated in a bridge course and were able to pass on the third attempt. 79% of the Leadership.
