4 Overview of the Award BIRD L6 Graduate Diploma in Business Management & Strategy is tailored to provide learners with a sound knowledge of business management including analytical and functional skills and the strategic concepts they need in order to meet the requirement of different sectors and respond to the need of employers. The qualification includes six modules four from mandatory and two from optional ones. In order to be awarded this diploma, participants successfully complete all six modules. 6 Entry Requirement Advanced Diploma or equivalent (Level 5), or A Level or equivalent with 2 years work experience For Integrated Level 6, A Level or equivalent Guidance Material BIRD s extended syllabus and study guideline include a list of books and journals for learners to study on. Additionally, learners should collect BIRD s specimen coursework and/or examination papers from their study centres. Registered learners can download these from BIRD Website after logging in. Delivery From April 2012 Assessment Written examinations to be held four times a year or written assignment containing 3000 words on each module to be marked by BIRD Appointed Examiners Quality Control All coursework is internally marked but externally moderated. All examination papers are externally set, marked and moderated. Progression BIRD Level 6 Graduate Diploma in Business Management & Strategy leads learners to the final year undergraduate studies including BBA and BA in Business Management or equivalent to be awarded by various UK and overseas universities through its top-up/advanced entry routes.
