4 LEADER BRANDS 2009 Positioning of the Brands in the Mexican IT Market. The human activity, like birds, has two wings: the wing of the wisdom and the wing of the method. The wisdom does give us the principles, the values and the knowledge that, altogether, provide us the clear road that we should continue to reach our mission; that group of purposes that we want to reach. In turn, method includes the group of strategies, techniques, procedures and tools that permit us to travel through the road correctly and arrive at our destiny with efficiency. In summary, wisdom says us what road and what goal to obtain and method says us how to reach them. The contents that we are showing in this publication, constitute the result of the research BRAND LEADERS of the Mexican IT Market. As is our habit, we have applied a strict and severe method of capture of data, processing, analysis and interpretation of the information. About the way of communication, it s the same that we have shown since 23 years ago, to provide to the players of the IT market, helpful information to support the most important decisions for their daily work. In concrete, with our research we intend to get stronger the wisdom wing of the decision makers. The research BRAND LEADERS of the Mexican IT Market, was applied during the last week of june 2009, and it was answered by 2,004 resellers nationwide, who represent the 11.56% of their whole universe. The extension of this research covers more than 250 brands of 42 product lines. For the printed edition of these results we are making a circulation of 2,000 copies in Spanish and 1,000 copies in English. However, we have placed the information in e-book version, so everyone can leaf through the research on-line with the 3 usual stratifications of the results: Nationwide, Region by Region and State by State. This e-book version constitutes an accessible platform which don t hide anything and represents a neverending source of information for the statistic analysis experts. As always, we are grateful with the 2,004 resellers who gave us their work, knowledge and time for answer the survey. We only can correspond to the resellers with the commitment to continue working with absolute dedication and methodological discipline, for the generation of knowledge and useful information for the growth and development of the technology and it s insertion in the Mexican Population.
