2 Our commitment In the Faculty of Business Administration of the University of Santiago de Compostela, we offer our students proactive academic programs, close relationships with faculty, rich learning experiences, and most importantly solid preparation for careers in the business field. Our main mission is to educate and inspire our students so that graduates are prepared for success in positions of leadership and responsibility.

3 Our Campus, Lugo The is located in the Campus of Lugo ( a commercial and public services capital which stands on the Northwest end of the Iberian Peninsula, on a smooth promontory by the river Miño. With a complete Roman wall enclosing its old town, Lugo is a city council of almost a hundred thousand inhabitants with more than two thousand years of history. Reached easily from Galicia s premier city of Santiago de Compostela, Lugo has spectacular scenery, a history and architectural heritage that spans from the Celts and Romans to the Neo-Classical and Gothic, plus a culture and cuisine that is typical of the region.

4 Our facilities, with the latest technologies There are excellent modern classrooms all equipped with computer, internet access, video player and digital blackboards There are several computerequipped laboratories for the use of the students. Also free Wi-fi access is available in the whole building of the faculty. An especially fine collection of business-related books, articles, newspapers, government documents, and other references are readily available in the University s library or through the interlibrary loan system.

5 And also a place to exchange ideas, to take advantage of the academic life About housing, the Residencia Universitaria Bal y Gay, a dorm for USC students which is located just 50 metres away from the faculty, is a good alternative for our international students. 6 Academic information The academic year at the University of Santiago de Compostela is divided into two teaching periods, which are equivalent to the Autumn and Spring Semesters, respectively, for visiting students. All visiting students may apply for either the Autumn Semester Programme, the Spring Semester Programme or the Full Academic Year Programme. Degrees offered: Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Master in Business Administration (MBA) Practically all the courses use the e-learning platform Web-CT. All our exchange students have the right to attend the Spanish language courses organized by the Centro de Lenguas Modernas of the USC, with a duration of 100 hours and with the possibility of being recognized by the university of origin with 4 credits.

12 Our International Experience The students who inted to study at our faculty should go first to the Oficina de Relaciones Exteriores in Lugo Campus (Tfno /569, where they issue them their credentials as exchange students, they inform them about the possibilities of housing and they redirect them to our Faculty. There, we inform them about the basic aspects of the organization of the center (facilities, timetable, access to the different services, ) and we put them in contact with their asigned academic coordinator.

At the moment when I am studying I can say that helpfulness of the staff, friendliness of the students and the interesting events organized by the university make the education process a whole pleasure. What our students have said Izabela Mierkiewicz, Polland After being here for some months, I can say that I got in love with Lugo. I love this town and I am really happy here. At the Faculty of Business Administration, people are open-minded and if you have a problem, they are ready to help you. Teachers are really friendly and helpful. Thanks to the ERASMUS program I have learned many things and my Spanish is day by day better.
